"I also have a... sweatshirt..." he told her hesitantly, remembering how many times she had gotten upset when he offered that particular article of clothing. The problem was that he knew fancy dresses just didn't do well when they got wet and even if she wore jeans under what she was wearing now, the dress would be ruined in the snow.
"I'm also really good at transfiguing shoes," he told her. The socks that he brought along would be okay (Allegra never had a problem stealing them at least) and he had been working spells on foot wear since his first year when the Transfiguration teacher had a silly rule against him wearing his rollerblades during class.

And either he chose to ignore her statement of trying to see how he felt about her bring it up, or he really didn't like it. Either way, she felt her face fall a little before he offered a sweatshirt to her. That had always been rather...iffy as well. But a small smile crept over her face.
"You'd let me have your sweatshirt?" she asked him. Of course, he'd offered it to her before, but she'd always gotten confused about it then, but if he was offering it now, and she wasn't confused. That meant good things too.
"I'm not so sure about the shoes," the lioness answered him. "They're not mine, and I don't want anything to happen to them. Not that I don't think you couldn't do it, but I just...I'd rather not find out I owe someone a pair of expensive shoes..."
In fact, she trusted his ability, and had the shoes been hers, she would've been fine with him playing around with them. However, she couldn't afford to buy someone a pair of shoes either, probably not even a cheap pair. "I don't mind walking in it barefoot. I mean, you said you had socks, right? If I got cold, I could sit still for a bit and wear them, right?"

"Yeah," Drew answered and a small smile crept up his face. He had been so concerned about her warmth that he had totally missed the part about him contributing to that particular situation. But she had agreed to wear his sweatshirt. He kind of liked the idea of her wearing his stuff. Maybe it would smell like vanilla when he got it back.
"Let me do the shoes?" he asked, really not liking the idea of her frozen toes, even if she was wearing his socks aftarwards. "If they get wrecked, it's my fault, right? I'll replace them." Technically, it was thefault of the owner of the shoes, who lent them to her after he had specified that Felicity should wear jeans and a sweater, but he wasn't going to get into that.

His answer was rather satisfying. He was going to let her have his sweatshirt to wear, even after letting her have his hat, she'd broken up with him, he really was offering more for her to wear. She liked that idea, she liked that he seemed so willing to let her wear something of his, because she was more than sure it would smell like him a bit, just from having sat in with any of his stuff.
Biting her bottom lip, she really wasn't sure about it. She didn't want him to offer to pay for something for her all the time, and he did it quite often. In fact, he'd promised to buy Sammy a collar a bit back, and she knew that would cost enough, maybe not really a lot, but enough. And she wasn't too keen on him being able to pay for whatever, she hadn't ever had that luxury when growing up, she had to deal with what she had.
Sighing, and knowing that her feet would like be less cold with shoes, she nodded reluctantly. "But you have to wait until I'm fully changed," she told him seriously. "Apparently these are the only shoes that go with this dress."
Smiling silly-like, she bit her lip again. "That's what the girls in my dormitory said at least. So you have to wait until I'm changed first."

"Let me switch them while you're changing," Drew suggested, confident that he could do the right spell. Of course, he had never actually transfigured a pair of women's shoes, and he was best at switching between rollerblades and men's dress shoes, but he was still pretty confident that he could do it.
The tricky part of course, was to get her from the door to the broom cupboard without having her freeze her feet off. The snow was fresh, and while it wasn't deep, it still sank in a bit when it was stepped on. "Wanna piggy back?" he offered, thinking that was the best way. He really couldn't stand the idea of Felicity having froze toes. Besides, it would be fun.

"All right, you can do that while you're waiting for me," she agreed. At least he wasn't insisting on taking care of it right at that moment. And it wasn't that she minded walking around barefoot, but the girls had insisted on those shoes. Not even her own black dress shoes would work, they wanted her in these specific shoes.
"Drew..." she started with a slightly embarrassed smile. Leaning in, she kissed him really quick before continuing. "I don't think a piggy-back ride works too well with a shorter dress." Not only would it hike the skirt further up her legs, but it'd be right uncomfortable feeling, especially if the material was caught and her legs got too constricted, even for a short time. When she had pants on, at least there was a bit more material between her legs and his body, and she had freer movement, being constricted in any way for any amount of time wasn't really her cup of tea.
But she didn't want to chance ruining the shoes either.
"Do you think, maybe you could carry me differently?" she asked, not sure how to explain it. The only way of explaining it she could think of, was like how married men carried their newlywed wives over the threshold, and she didn't want him getting the wrong idea. But if he didn't want to, she supposed she could put up with trying piggy back.

"I wouldn't be able to see anything," he pointed out, but when she suggested a different way, he immediatly thought of carrying her over the threshold in the traditional manner. He really didn't want to word it that way, not sure how she'd feel about him thinking that seriously this early in their relationship, but it was the only way he could think of carrying her that would still be somewhat dignified.
Because throwing her over his shoulder was definitely not an option at this time.
"Yeah, I think I can manage that," he told her with a lopsided smile. His birthday plans for her had started off pretty rough, but he was thinking they just might turn out okay after all.

"You wouldn't be able to see anything, but it still wouldn't be very comfortable." Nor extremely appropriate, she was sure. Though, if he didn't agree to maybe carrying her differently, she would put up with it. It wasn't like anyone else was around anyway, so who was to say it was inappropriate?
However, with that smile he gave her, she didn't think he minded what she was trying to suggest. And she hadn't meant it in any other way than to be carried a bit more comfortably, and she could walk without the shoes if that was the case, but then he'd insist on changing the shoes right then and there.
"All right, so let's get going, shall we?" she asked him, excited about going back into the room with all the snow that was in it. And as soon as she got the chance, she was going to throw a snowball at him too.

He could feel her excitement and that made him feel mcuh better about his whole birthday plan. There was hope that his carefully organized evening would go off, if not exactly, close to how he had invisioned.
Some snow-snogging was definitely on the agenda as well as a snow angel or two. They would have dinner and if he was lucky, he could hold her while they sat in front of the fire.
With a renewed sense of excitement, a feeling he thought had been lost completely for that evening, he scrambled to his feet and offered a hand to her, ready to take her anywhere she wanted. Good thing she just wanted to go back inside the spare classroom on the sixth floor. He wasn't sure he could accomodate anything much bigger than that, but at that particular moment, he sure would have given it his best try.

Grinning, Felicity took his hand, only to let go a moment later to fix the dress. It felt like it'd slipped a bit, though it really hadn't, she just really wished it had shoulder straps, and therefore was nervous of it actually slipping. Getting frustrated with the material, she gave up trying to make it a little longer, the pulling on it wasn't doing anything. Instead, she gave a defeated sigh, before grabbing Drew's hand again and walking back to the door with him. It wasn't that long of a walk, but she kind of wished it did last longer, especially when she was holding his hand like she was.
And she really hoped he was taking her back to the room on the seventh floor with all the snow, otherwise, she might just have to have him carry her down all those stairs, she'd barely made it without breaking her neck as it was.
When they got to the door, she turned to face him, dropping his hand and placing her arms around his neck to get another kiss. If he accidentally dropped her in the snow, this was her apology to him now, before he dropped her.

She took his hand only to drop it again, and Drew kind of understood, knowing that sometime girls needed to fix stuff with their outfits. He wasn't sure why they wore strapless things if they were just going to end up tugging at them all night, but he really wasn't going to argue the wardrobe selection too much.
It was only a few steps to the door way and Drew wasn't sure why, but he felt nervous, knowing he was, in essence, about to carry her over a threshold. It didn't mean anything, but at the same time, it felt kind of special... so special, he wasn't sure if he was ready to do it yet.
She linked her arms around his neck and he smiled down at her as she moved in to kiss him. Her lips were always so soft and warm and he loved the feel of them against his own. Still, he felt the need to move away slowly, leaning back in to tenderly kiss one of her bare shoulders. He wasn't sure when he would get that chance again and just needed to take that opportunity while it presented itself.

The kiss only lasted a moment, and while she didn't feel like it lasted long enough, what he did next well made up for it. Yes, he'd kissed her ear, her neck, her lips, but never her shoulder, and it felt...different, but a good different. At least, the butterflies in her stomach were extremely active suddenly, and she didn't want his lips to move from their contact with her skin...ever. That moment, in her opinion could keep going, never stop, and she was pretty sure she'd be just fine with that.
And while it felt really, really, really, indescribably nice, at the same time she wanted nothing more than to drag him in that room and push him into the snow and start kissing on him right then. But, the dress, the shoes, she really didn't want them ruined, and she could wait...for another minute or so.
Turning her face towards him, she lightly kissed his ear and giggled nervously. With how she felt with him kissing her bare shoulder, giggling was the most appropriate response she could think of.

Merlin, he loved that giggle.
She must not have minded him kissing her there too much so he tried it again, this time making a slow trail to her neck and up to her ear. As she kissed his ear, he answered with his own low giggle, marveling at how soft her skin was.
The trick now was picking her up. She wasn't that heavy, but with her wearing such a short dress, it made it a little awkward when he tried to figure out exactly where to place his arms. Her arms were around his neck which made things easier and he ended up just scooping her off her feet as he tried not to think to much about what he was doing and where his hands ended up.

So, she was pretty sure this was the first time her butterflies had been that active. And it wasn't just in her stomach, they seemed to escape their little container and made their way all around her body. And they just got crazier as he kissed his way up to her ear.
It was only a moment later, but it felt longer when he kissed her like that, but her feet were suddenly no longer in contact with the floor.
Giggling again, finding the whole idea of how he was carrying her silly, but at the same time most definitely not, she tightened her grip around his neck quickly, all the while shifting herself closer to be able to kiss his neck gently.
Was it her fault he moved her closer and in a perfect position to kiss on him like that? She didn't think so, and if he wanted or needed her to stop, he'd tell her to knock it off. Besides, it was a pretty short distance to the closet where he was taking her to change, so it wasn't like she could do that too long.
But just being in his arms like that made her even more nervous, no matter how silly or nice it felt. It meant so much more to newlyweds than it really seemed it should have, but this...in its own way was extremely romantic. And not just romantic, but special.

She kept kissing his neck and while he was a little worried he'd lose his focus and drop her, he really didn't want her to stop so he didn't say anything. He nudged his way back into the room using his backside to push the door back open, concentrating on his footing when he felt the uneven snow under his boots. If he kept his mind on his feet, maybe he'd stop thinking about wedding nights. He was only 17. He was pretty sure he wasn't allowed to think of stuff like that for another 5 years.
He stepped carefully over the dropped flowers and her pants that were by the door, not sure what to do about them. If he bent down to get them, he was worried they'd both tumble in the snow, but she needed the pants to change, didn't she?
"C... can I... Can I come back and... get these?" he stuttered, finding his brain really couldn't do to many things at once. If he wasn't thinking about walking, his concentration automatically switched over to her kisses. Talking was pretty much a lost cause when that happened.
