And suddenly, the whole floor was silent as a grave. Didi stuck to Shari's shoulder like candy on a kid's mind. Boldly, Shari kept walking. Ghosts didn't scare her...she'd read too much about ghosts and the only thing she feared was the unknown. Goblins...couldn't exist in Hogwarts; Ghouls? Only a figment of the deranged imagination of muggle storytellers. Mostly they were invented to frighten little muggle children.
Lions? Tigers? Bears? Oh my!
'A huge spider would scare the Christina Ricci out of me, perhaps.' Shari said. Spiders...not her thing. Nor were snakes, for that matter. She stopped suddenly. Veela were scary too. She thought she heard footsteps.
"Hopefully I won't have classes up here" Shari spoke aloud to the restless darkness.

With a tired expression on her face, hunched shoulders and hands in her robe pockets; Chloe casually made her way down the dark long corridor of the Seventh Floor. Her complexion was extra pale today due to the reason that she'd not left the castle and visited the grounds in quite sometime. She needed color in her face and fast. Since she'd straightened her hair this morning, it was much longer and hung around her face. Chloe's fringe covered half her eyes. From a distance, she would have looked almost like a ghost.
She halted to a stop when she felt a gooey substance at the middle of her scalp that slowly went down the side of her face. With a mouth wide open, she looked up into the cackling face of Peeve's. One of the Hogwarts Ghosts with a bowl of jelly in his hands. She gritted her teeth and could almost feel her face heat up from the rage. Shouting a few curse words at him, she ran halfway down the corridor after him but gave up when he went through a wall. Trying to wipe off some of the jelly from her hair with her hands, she rounded a corridor and accidentally bumped into a Ravenclaw.
"Ahh...oh sorry."

Shari stumbled a little and Didi hissed. The girl had pretty much just walked right into her as if she was a ghost. *Thinks about Grandmama Sharay Vyapari*
"It's alright. I didn't see you coming." Shari regained her balance. "Are you new here too?" She asked. She had to admit...she was hopelessly lost on this floor and someone who knew their way around would be a appreciated contact. Didi meowed loudly and clawed at Shari's back. "OUCH! DIDI!!!" She let the cat down and instantly the white fur ball bounded off into the darkness, around the corner and out of sight. Swearing to herself, Shari looked at the girl in front of her...as much as she could distinguish, that is, in the gloom. She seemed to be trying to get something out of her hair, but Shari couldn't tell what.
Booming down the other end of the corridor came the cackling laugh of Peeves, the infamous Hoggy Warts ghost. The sudden noise startled Shari a little, but she wasn't scared of any ghosts...*thinks, again, about Grandmama Sharay Vyapari*...hoping that they would just leave her alone if she ignored them. Suddenly, she put two and two together and asked, "Did he get you bad? Peeves, I mean." The girl looked like a ghost herself, all pale.

Chloe regained her balance, and gave the girl an apologetic smile as she still tried to get the jelly out of her hair. "Sorry again. No, I'm not new here. I'm in my Sixth Year and have been her since my First. I'm guessing you are, not many people wander around these corridor-" She cut herself off when a loud meow sounded from the girls back and she'd cried out in pain. Whatever it was must have hurt her badly.
The next thing she knew, a cat with a pure white coat had jumped off her back and hurried into the darkness. Chloe watched as the girl cursed under her breath, Chloe had never had another pet since her dog Alexis died but she knew how troubling they could be. "Peeves gets me all the time. He's been pranking me a lot these days and I don't even know why. I'll get him back though. Someday."
She managed to get half of the jelly off her hair but was still sporting wet spots on some parts, deciding that she'd just deal with it later in the shower; Chloe headed in the direction the girls cat had go in. "We'd better get her, before Peeves does. He won't harm her but she won't look the same after he's done with her. I'm guessing her name is Didi?"

Sharivah shook her head. "It's short for Didianavariyaparah." The complex named rolled right off her tongue, and she was glad that she hadn't completely lost her Hindi touch. "I say Didi for short. It's easier. Didi's a drama queen...we'll know if someone or something is messing with her." Shari was a little worried, though.
'She won't look the same after he's done with her.'
"What will Peeves do?" She asked, worried and expecting the worst. If he changed her hair color or length, Didi would never have the courage to go out again. The she'd sleep in her basket under Shari's bed and catch mice and never move around...and before long, she'd be a fat cat. Sharivah couldn't let that happen.

Chloe listened to Sharivah as she made her way down the dark and long corridor which the naughty cat had taken. She wasn't surprised of how quiet the Seventh Floor was, the place wasn't really popular for its large amount of students lurking here and there. Mostly ghosts and strange paintings occupied the place. It was the highest floor so held the lowest temperature; cold gusts of wind would occasionally find their way through slits in the windows and into the faces of students or professors. "That's a very long yet interesting name."
"What will Peeves do?"
Even in the dark, Chloe could still make out the worried expression on Sharivah's face. "Don't worry, Peeves is a prankster but he wouldn't dare hurt a fly. He'll just give it a new look. Anyways, if he does decide to change the color of that beautiful fur; it's usually washable," she peered around a corner, "Is that her?"

Shari looked around the corner as Chloe had. "Oh!" She said as she laid her eyes on a familiar face. Peering up at her, hair curled and with a humongous velvety blue bow tied around it's ginger coloured neck was Didiana. The poor thing looked so pathetic in her new fur colour and ridiculous bow.
"Oh Didi!" Shari said as she scooped her up in her arms. Only then did she notice the ruby red slipper booties that were fastened to her now ginger coloured cat's paws. With a pathetically cute meow, Didi attempted to lick the booties off. Shari couldn't help but laugh as the humbled drama queen cat failed to remove the booties. "Oh Didi...he's just getting back at you for not wearing a costume to the Masquerade!" Indeed, Didi looked more like a feline version of Dorothy Gale, from the Muggle Film "The Wizard of Oz," than the white short hair she had been. Shouldering the cat, Shari cooed, "Let's go fix you up, Didi."

Chloe's eyes almost popped out when she caught sight of the cat properly, it looked so silly. Peeves went to the extremes, I didn't think it would be that bad. She watched as the girl scooped Didi up in her arms. Poor Cat. Those were the only two words that seemed to run through Chloe's mind. Her coat was a mixture of different colors with a ginger colored neck and paws accompanied by a velvety bow and little red booties. This strangely reminds me of the Wizard of Oz. I need to see that movie again.
"Here, let me help."
She pulled out her wand from the insides of her robes and gently took off all the little accessories Peeves had placed upon this cat. Chloe looked up at Sharivah and spoke, "I'm going to perform a little spell to get the color off. Do you mind?"

"I'm going to perform a little spell to get the color off..."
Sharivah was glad to hear those words. Chloe must know what she is doing. Obviously she had some experience with Peeves before...Shari made a promise to herself to get Peeves back on day...and that meant that Didiana would be alright. Sharivah smiled back at Chloe.
"I wouldn't mind at all." She would like to learn these reversal types of spells. Just in case she ever needed to use them. Soon, and very soon, Didi would be herself again, but the trauma of being transformed into a feline version of Dorothy Gale might keep her on bed rest for a good portion of the next few days. Oh well...at least Didi knew where she stood in the realm of Hoggy Warts!

Chloe held onto her wand tightly as if Peeves were going to swoop down and grab it any second now. She bit her lip, racking through her brain for that useful spell her mother had taught her. What was it? Ah...yes. More of a potion then a spell. Chloe faced the direction the small little bottle was kept in and allowed its location to run through her head as she held out her hand and cried, "Accio!" A few minutes passed, well literally five but from a distance she could almost see an object flying towards her. It was soon in her hand.
She showed it to Sharivah, "Mrs. Scower's Magical Mess Remover aka my best friend."
She poured a gulp onto her palm and rubbed both hands together, making sure to space out an equal amount on each. Chloe then began to apply the product on the parts of the cats coat which had been colored and once she was done, wiped her hands with a handkerchief. In a few minutes, the color began to slowly fade away. "Keep one of these with you always. Peeves once dyed my hair bubble gum pink."
