((it's okay )) Focus still on the brunette, Felicity was quite impressed at how well she flew. The Gryffindor hadn't been on a broom until September, when Artemis began helping her with Quidditch so she could learn and try-out successfully for her House team, but she still wasn't extremely steady on a broom. Her feet on the ground was much nicer, though she didn't mind heights in the slightest. Artemis had done wonders for her with teaching her how to properly fly to get the most efficiency, but there was still much room for improvement. And while she admired Charlie's flying skills, she wouldn't be the person to tell her. Even the pushing off the wall was well conducted, smooth even. Felicity was more than sure she meant to do it, had she tried anything of the sort the lioness would've crashed and probably slid unceremoniously down the length of the wall. However, the look from the girl was worse than her tone of voice. Corey was sarcastic, but wasn't ever mean about it. Really, she didn't think he had it in him to be mean. "I haven't apologized yet." No, she probably didn't have to, at least she would've loved not to have to. Except with Drew, she knew he wouldn't be happy with her if she didn't, as well as being disappointed with her. "I'm sorry about not wanting to race, but I..." she paused. Telling Charlie she couldn't properly cast spells well? Even with the little thing she did only moments before the Slytherin had seemingly dismissed. "I was hoping Drew would race with you. I don't know why he didn't..."

Often, Charlie's personality had battled with the kinds of ideas and intentions that she had. There was no lie that due to her natural Slytherin attributes, she was one who held no ease for those who came in contact with the girl. It really came through with time and common interest that she would end up being Hiro and Drew's friend, and eventually Hiro's girlfriend. Yet the point was this: even when she didn't want to show it, she had a somewhat humane side.
For that... she slowed down her flying. It wasn't that warmth had struck her heart or anything. Also, it wasn't as if she was the Grinch. But the fact that this Gryffindor kid had been persistent about staying and bothering Charlie to no end... she had to give the girl props.
Still, she was very annoyed.
"Look-- get o'er it, Hjort," Charlie huffed out as she flew to the girl and stopped just a few feet away. "I gotta lot on my mind, 'kay? And no-- it's not over you or Thornton." She was hating this-- admitting that she even had feelings, like some mushy girl. The only other female she ever wanted to divulge this information to was Layla Jimenez. Of course, that small wish was futile for now.

Yes, she was a rather good flier. Felicity hadn't really seen too many people flying, only during games and practices, but she could still tell a good flier from a bad one, and Charlie was proving to be a fair one. Again she had to shake it from her mind before she said something aloud about it. She wasn't going to be known for handing out compliments to the Slytherin, or at least she didn't want Charlie to think of her like that.
"I never said I was a problem on your mind," she retorted. "Nor did I say Drew was." All she had wanted to do was apologize for ruining her night. No, she wasn't trying to take credit for anything, but she did have a hand in making the night bad, didn't she?
Technically, she did apologize and that meant she could go, but now she felt another tug. She had stuff on her mind? Exactly what kind of horrible thing would she have on her mind to put her in such a horrible mood? Well, besides choosing to punch at breakfast the next morning...
"Is everything all right?" she asked a little distressed. If she walked away now, her mind would eat at her all night, and she was blaming that on Drew.

Condescension rose up into her throat, burning and fueling her temptation to throw at what was coming at Felicity. Why would she bother, though? It was unwritten, unsaid-- Charlie wasn't just going to collapse to the floor, bawling and whining about the last eight or nine months, nor about the future. She was clearly in the present, with hints of regret of the past. Inside her, she only knew that whatever regrets she had, she would take advantage of the now to defeat the then.
Coming back to the solemn question, though, it seemed too easy for Charlie to just rip Felicity a new one just because she felt like it. The internal question was, though, if she really felt like doing it. "Everything's perfect, agonizing aunt," she remarked sarcastically with her target lock on Felicity's tone of... was it something like concern? Charlie was oblivious to her own misnomer. "Everything this year's like the way I wish it was." She rolled her eyes, and hovered a few inches back.

Silence, at least for a moment. Nothing like the comfortable, enjoyable silence she maintained with Corey many times, but a more awkward one. In fact, it wasn't just awkward, it was downright uncomfortable. Not the kind of silence one could feel free to kick back and lift their feet up and relax. No, this was one of those silences in the movie where the monster was right behind you and everyone knew it except you. The only good thing was, many times, the person survived somehow.
A small laugh escaped through her airwaves at what Charlie called her, it was better than Chuckles. The girl was remaining mostly stationary in the air for the moment, and she could easily tell her manner was being more sarcastic that Corey was on an every day basis.
"Nothings ever perfect," she commented back, lowering her voice slightly. This was about the time in the movie the real killer revealed himself and called the victim out about how it was so obvious they were the one doing the murdering. Yes, it was time she was going to be slaughtered. Best to be prepared though, right? "But I'm glad everything's working out for you."

"What the hell're you laughin' at?" Charlie bellowed defensively, and started moving upwards on her broom. She wasn't in the least bit amicable mood to be insulted or offended, and even less to respect anyone. This Gryffindor constantly treaded dangerous waters, yet Charlie had to remind herself that if her fist were to throb for her irrational decisions, then it would defeat her purpose of coming into the Room of Requirement to forget the incident as soon as possible.
"Duh-- I know nothin's perfect," she continued on with her brash words. "But nothin' should ev'r be this crappy." She gritted her teeth again, and flew off without another word. She wanted a fourth round in her mind.

"I was just--I thought what you called me was--well, I thought it was funny," she answered truthfully. "Agonizing Aunt," she repeated with a small smile. Anything was better than Chuckles and this was really kind of funny. The movement of the other girl frightened Felicity, and she took a couple of steps back as the other moved upwards. Being she was an aunt to quite a few, she thought it was funny what the girl called her.
Concern filtered through the lioness as she listened to Charlie, taking another step backwards for good measure. The further away from the girl she was, the better she would be able to navigate her way away from her, as well as try and judge how she was going to go after her. Yes, she believed Charlie was willing to fly at her on the broom and get at her that way, but she couldn't leave either. Why did Drew's voice need to be nagging in her mind?
"Charlie, what's horrible? You've a wonderful boyfriend, and from what I understand great friends. Not to mention you're the Quidditch Captain and respected in your year and House from what I understand as well..." What could be so horrible in her life?

Like that... Charlie's flying slowed down significantly. The fourth round was now a vague attempt, nothing more than an involuntary goal put in the backseat while Felicity's words were in the forefront.
It was pitiful for the Slytherin... but she never, ever saw it that way before. It wasn't out of arrogance, but she had to admit-- her life here was pretty good. It had been going better than she would have imagined three years ago when she was a thirteen year old American unsure of what she was doing at Hogwarts, but she was doing it out of impulse.
Before that could be further asserted, though, she returned to something mentioned before... Her life here was pretty good. Here. While it was far from third world in her cushy surroundings in Albany, New York, her home was being torn apart... and it started with her. If she hadn't moved to England, her family wouldn't have visited, and Mike wouldn't have all of a sudden become part of the Deva. There was no other link than that. She caused the downfall of reputation in her family, and she had further inflicted the pain by accusing Mike of his actions to her other brothers and her father. Now, while her accusations were right, she was becoming alienated from her family.
It wasn't all great.
"You don't understand," she said after that second pause of silence, her smooth hovering being just as silent. Charlie had her teeth grit along with her remark.

This was yet another time Felicity could see Charlie reaming her big time. The Slytherin slowed right down and had a strange look on her face. It wasn't quite describable, yet it almost was. It was a look of realization mixed with desperation, mixed with what could almost be described as shock. While the other girl hadn't pummeled Felicity as of yet, she could really see it coming now, especially since Felicity probably said something she shouldn't have, argued with her on a point that was none of her business.
But now that she waited for it to come, it still didn't. Instead there was a second of silence and then she started speaking again. A short answer, an obvious one, even to the blonde, and it was extremely truthful. Felicity had no idea what was going on, didn't understand because she didn't even know what they were talking about other than Charlie apparently had a horrible life or something. As far as Felicity knew she hadn't been tortured by anyone recently. Maybe there was something in that past she was angry about, but it wasn't any of her business and knew of nothing.
"No, I really don't," she answered sharply, keeping a weary brown eye on her. "But that doesn't mean I can't either..." she ventured hesitantly. While she sometimes had a hard time understanding people at times, it was a reason there was such a thing as questions, if it weren't for Celina, they'd probably be her best friend.
The Gryffindor thought it was odd she was ranting almost about things not being grande, but she was also telling her she didn't understand. Well, just how did she know if Felicity would or wouldn't understand?

It wasn't that long of a walk to the room of requirement from the roof tops. The boys made it there with little trouble after their conversation. The thing was for some reason Hiro's curiosity got the better of him. What if they had been talking about the ravens like they had been talking about the girls? Hiro didn't feel bad when he placed his ear against the wall to try and listen, after all the ends justify the means. Even with his heightened senses Hiro could tell what was being said in the room. In fact he could barely hear anything behind the wall.
"Ready?" Hiro asked has friend wondering if it would be considered rude to walk in according to the girls.

"Are you sure they're in there?" Drew asked in a low whisper. He didn't doubt Hiro's hearing, but the room tended to seal itself off from the rest of the world when it wanted to. "Is it safe to go in?"
He crept closer, still not sure what to expect, assuming the girls were still actually in there. One thing he was sure of. They weren't sitting down sharing a pot of tea.

"Someone is in there." Hiro answered back in a whisper still trying to listen. "If it's not the girls than as prefects we can give whomever is in there a scare."
Sure they were supposed to uphold the rules and take away points from those who broke them but Hiro had yet to take any house points for rule breaking. That would just be hypocritical.
"And as far as safety goes it would probably be safer if they weren't in there."

Drew snorted at the prospect of scaring some kids. The only time that was any fun was when they were firsties and he just didn't feel right messing with them when his cousin was in that class.
"So do we just go in, or are we going to wait for a sign?" Drew asked, not sure what sign they might want to wait for, but seeing a lot of problems with just going in there unannounced. Of course, staying out in the hall and letting them do Merlin knew what probably wasn't the best option either.

"I think the only sign Charlie will give is exploding your girlfriend." Hiro said as he pulled his ear away from the wall. Getting into the room when someone else was in there was always a trick, usually you ended up going into another room through the same door but if you were determined enough it was possible. "It'd probably be easier if they get mad at us instead of each other. At least we're use to it."
At this point Hiro summoned the entrance and put his hand on the doorknob.
"Here goes nothing." He said as he opened the door.

"No, I really don't," she answered sharply, keeping a weary brown eye on her. "But that doesn't mean I can't either..." she ventured hesitantly. Was it even possible? Charlie ventured not too deep into it, but something to give it some thought. Did Felicity have a chance at understand at how Charlie's family dynamic was drastically changing at the hands of an organization? Could she understand the feeling that her father resented her accusations towards her own brother? What about the entire thing in general? How could this Gryffindor enlighten Charlie on how to deal with a brother who is in the Deva, who manipulated her entire being and her own soul for the sake of some sad sap, one dimensional glory? Though the Slytherin was clear in the middle... she felt as though she was up against the wall. Despite her underestimating the Gryffindor's ability to cope with what Charlie had experienced... the idea of venting was tempting. Feelings. That's what she constantly felt, night and day, no matter how she tried to numb them. And those feelings were tearing her apart, starting with her friendships and relationships that she once had and held so dearly, specifically with her family. She figured friendships would be next. By telling Felicity what was truly on her mind... what was she having to lose? The answer? Almost everything. At least that's what she figured. It seemed logical to her that because of lack of control over what was fundamentally hers, she would open these floodgates to her own, personally-created hell, complete with a life of solitude, and nothing to live for. The girl loved life itself, but she wasn't sure how well it would work out to lose herself in the moment. Charlie wished she knew a better way to find resolution. Her top idea? Finding her brother Mike. After that in the plan, it was blank, but it sounded like a sound resolution. She remained hovering in the space, giving yet another icy cold stare at the girl. "You wanna understand somethin'?" Her sharp voice stabbed through silence. "Know this--" At that point, she both felt and heard the thick door that opened the athletic emporium. No word continued her thoughts to Felicity, for she flew her way carefully to the door, ducking and dodging lifeless dummies and low ceilings. It sounded like it, but she felt like she was imagining it too. Normally she requested the Room of Requirement to keep the area hidden, but she understood that this time she neglected this. "Who's there?!?" She barked madly.
