It was probably some form of fate that had the boys enter the girls' presence right before Charlie was about to either lash out or start opening up to Felicity. They either saved Felicity or ruined the chances of them getting closer. Either way it was unknown to the boys what had been taking place moments ago.
"You wouldn't fire at an old friend now would you?" Hiro replied. He had quickly drawn his wand out when he heard a rapid approach from the air, a habit that he had picked up since the invasion. Though he didn't know if she had pulled her wand he wouldn't put it past her to have done the same thing when she noticed someone coming in. "You're hard to find you know that?"

Charlie stopped short before she would hit the door. Somehow with the distraction of Felicity and all, she didn't bother with draw out her wand at the intruder. Still, she would have wanted to come at him had he been an actual stranger. Yet as soon as she was sure it was Hiro, she hovered low and got off the broom. "Only when I don't wanna be found," She remarked to him and marched back to get back on the pitch. Great. To her, two in the room was pushing it, and three would definitely be a crowd. "What is with you guys and coming into places that you're not allowed in?!?"

The calculations going on in the Slytherin's mind went unnoticed for the most part. Felicity could see her thinking, most likely debating on the best way to hex her into next year, if not oblivion. But for a mere second, the blonde almost wondered if it was possible Charlie would actually talk to her. No, she wasn't a miracle worker, usually hated listening to people go on about how bad their lives were when there were things going on all around that could be worse, but she was also sympathetic sometimes. This was one of those times she would have to be. Whatever was going on in Charlie's life was more than obviously bothering her, and maybe she didn't want to talk about it. But what if she did and just didn't have someone to talk to about it? Yes, she had Hiro, but what if like Felicity, she couldn't talk to him? She had Drew, but again, what if?
And then Charlie actually began speaking, which only made Felicity take a few steps back. Yes, she was going to hex her now, it was coming. She'd overstepped by offering to lend an ear, try to form a friendship, even just trying to apologize. It was coming. And then nothing...except the snake racing carefully as ever to the door and yelling at it. Was it even doing anything?
When the other voice called out, she finally understood what Charlie was doing. Really, she was beginning to wonder at first if she was only securing the door so Felicity's screams wouldn't be heard. And after that initial thought, she wondered if the girl was going a bit mad, talking to a door like that.
The girl's answer wasn't surprising, as she didn't seem to keen on her own company. Then again, she was telling this to Hiro, too, so Felicity was probably even more problematic in Charlie's eyes.

Yep still mad. Hiro concluded after Charlie's oh so pleasant greeting.
"What are we in the women's bathroom?" Hiro always tried to turn things into a joke, it was his way of getting through the tough times. Of course it wasn't always appropriate. Thankfully he had his wand out still just in case. "We just wanted to make sure you two weren't killing each other or anything. After all becoming a murderer so close to your birthday isn't a very good present."

Drew inched his way to Felicity, figuring that if spells started flying, at least he'd be able to keep her safe.
Hiro started joking and Drew smirked, trying not to laugh at the comments outloud. Leave it to Hiro to try and lighten the mood. Drew just hoped Charlie wouldn't curse her own boyfirend over it.

"I wasn't going to kill her," Charlie said with frustration as she angrily threw the broom in the small storage closet that she had originally retrieved it from. The broom made a startling noise as it hit other supplies against the metal surface. However, she didn't notice. She just felt like yelling at them for barging into her area, her own sanctuary.
The truth in those moments before the door opened was that maybe she would have spilled just a little information to Felicity. Except the moment occurred and she changed her mind to conclude that the idea was inane and there was no point in talking to someone she barely knew. Now there were more people coming in thinking she was going to do something destructive, and it made her feel attacked.
"You all get the hell outta here!" She gritted angrily and tried not to punch the lifeless dummy for no real reason.

"The girls loo?" Felicity asked, not catching onto the hint of jest in Hiro's voice. Why in the world would he think Drew would let him waltz into the girl's loo? And she didn't really understand why Drew was walking so slowly either. Taking a few steps, she met up with him and wrapped her arms around his middle, not caring for Hiro's comment about she and Charlie going at it. Yes, they kind of sort of were, but not badly and she was glad for Charlie's quick and painless explanation. They hadn't been trying to kill each other.
Though, with the girl's outbrust for them to get out, Felicity tightened her arms around Drew. Yes, the Slytherin was definitely scary and scared Felicity more than a bit. If they were up for leaving, Felicity would be right behind them, if not in front leading the way.

Joke failed. Hiro realized that he hadn't lightened the mood any with his dumb stand up. As a matter of fact it seemed to have made things worse.
There was an odd tension in the air now. Hiro wouldn't have blamed Felicity and even Drew if they left right then and there. Hiro on the other hand didn't feel it right to leave. Perhaps, as mentioned on the rooftop, it was boyfriend instinct to get into as much trouble as possible with one's girlfriend that caused him to stay.
The problem came as to whether address an angry Charlie and try to calm her down or suggest to Drew and Felicity to get out before things turned really ugly. In the end he went with the later because that way if Drew was stubborn he could have said he at least tried.
"If you guys want to leave I completely understand." Hiro said low to the couple, it was probably loud enough for Charlie to hear if she was paying attention.

Charlie continued to march off back to the pitch, summoning the broom and taking it as she stepped on the artificial grass. Still, she felt that she had flied enough for tonight. Yes, only three and a half rounds... it was becoming a disgrace for her. Yet the problem had been that she was involved with so many ridiculous emotions and so many memories, and so many wounds in her family. Those things began to paralyze her in her place, making it harder for her to get her energy up for almost anything. The more she thought about these things, the more difficult it became to fight off the sluggishness.
Charlie sat in the middle of the pitch, her back to the crowd. She heard Hiro, alright. But she wanted to imagine Felicity and Drew leaving, and then Hiro... But maybe she didn't want to be abandoned.

Drew really didn't feel right leaving a friend, but at the same time he didn't think he and Felicity were helping matters much by staying. Talking to Charlie in this mood was probably a job best suited for Hiro.
He turned to look at Felicity and then back to Hiro. "I'll be just outside if you need me," he told the other Ravenclaw softly. If Felicity really wanted to go back to her dorm, Gryffindor was just down the hall and Drew could walk her and be back at the Room of Requirement in no time.

Should they really go though? While Felicity didn't really mind the idea of it, she kind of felt bad about just leaving after Charlie didn't seem quite so happy. Then again, she hadn't been happy when Felicity'd been there earlier, so maybe she just wasn't happy with her? On the other hand, she had yelled at the girl, and hadn't been very nice.
Her arms still around Drew, she was a little surprised he was going to go. Charlie was his friend, so she thought it was a little odd he was going to leave, then again, Hiro was there anyway. Maybe he figured Hiro would deal with the psychopath Slytherin...
Not letting go of Drew, she thought it would be a bit awkward if she just stood there with Hiro and Charlie when she wouldn't have anything to really do but stand there. Probably best to go with her boyfriend. "I'll come, too," she said softly, still holding on tightly.

"Thanks." Hiro replied, it was good to know that Drew always had his back. Maybe if he was able to calm the storm they could still hang out tonight but that might be a little tricky. As Drew and Felicity slowly made their way to the door Hiro was trying to think of something to say.
It had to be right, if it came out as him pointing figures that would only end in tragedy. And jokes to lighten the mood only seemed to make things worse. The thing of it was he still couldn't put his hand on exactly what had ruined her mood in the first place. As the doors closed behind him he was able to form a sentence.
"One heck of a party." Wrong! "I mean it was a nice night for a gathering." Dumb! "No wait, umm...is there something you want to talk about?"
It was blunt but so far it was the best thing to come out of his mouth. This could be a bad sign, maybe he should leave like Drew and Felicity.

After his second attempt, Charlie rolled her eyes at Hiro and hollered from her distance, "Shut up!" She knew that he would have liked to make a joke and she would be over it all. It was unfortunate for her to think that she couldn't remember how she would have reacted if she was the same before the summer they came into their sixth year. However, she reckoned she was as volatile then like now. It made her wonder, with some of their opposite characteristics, how he could stand to be her boyfriend.
For a while, she was wondering if and when he would have liked to break it off with her. Her stats as a girlfriend were pretty low, considering that she somewhat turned evil in the beginning of their relationship, that she didn't give him (or anyone for the matter) a Christmas gift, that she was getting all emotional and irrational, and especially that she hadn't kissed him. It made her nervous, and it made her less prepared to do that, seeing as she had no idea how to kiss.
Apart from that debacle, that was a little more mounting pressure among the family trouble. "You don't understand," she told him as she told Felicity. "It doesn't matter."

Ok he had started off badly and she had every right to stop him with her words. But when it came down to the issue it was an insult to clam what she had. If it hadn't mattered why was it a big deal, did she think that her lie would have fooled Hiro?
"I don't understand because you never gave me a chance." Hiro said as he approached her, determined to face this one head on. "You run off and give as little information as possible it's no wonder people don't understand. Why face something on your own if you can't hold it off by yourself?"

"I can!" She protested, finding it to be impossible that she wouldn't be able to do something on her own. If anything could become a game strategy, she could do it. She hated to think that life was a complete game, but it was the only for her to cope with the worse things in life. "No one needs to worry about my stupid family crap or anything! It's my fault, so I have to go at it alone!" She gritted her teeth, digging her fingers to her skin as she had her arm crossed.
It occurred to her that he wouldn't have known that that was bothering her right now. It sounded arbitrary, and dramatic. "Forget I ever said anything. You gotta leave."
