A few days back, Imogene had sent a letter to her brother, seeing how things were going back home. Imogene was excited to hear from him, considering in his last letter, he had learned to use punctuation. This was a very big accomplishment, and Imogene was very proud of him. Normally, he would write back within a few days. Well, it had been a few days, so she figured the letter should've been here by now.
As Imogene awaited her brother's owl, she leaned against a window pane, stairing out it. It seemed to be a rather nice day out. A bit chilly, but Imogene didn't mind much. A good day for an owl to come soaring through the sky. To her own luck, an owl came swopping through the window, past Imogene's face. At first, she blinked, but turned around, only to find it sitting on a perch, with an envelope tied to its foot. Rather quickly, she untied it, opened up the envelope, and began to read the letter:
Deer Imojean,
Today I leerned (punchewashion!)...I think? I mite be starting... to get the hang! of it" I leerned things like periods. exclimashion points! end even queshion marks?; But Diane says I stil have moor to leern:. By the way' I am good" Hope (to see you) soon!
Luve Robert
When she was done reading his letter, she had to laugh slightly. yes, he had learned puncuation, but he didn't use it correctly. Though, it made her happy seeing that he is truly trying his hardest.

Diana had finally decided what she would say or in other words write to her family. But before she started writing she decided to go up to the Owlery for she truly did love it up there, even with the smell and the occasional droppings. The view from the Owlery was gorgeous and that was the inspiration that Diana needed especially with the letter she was writing back to. As she walked into the tower with a piece of parchment in one hand and her parents letter in the other, she couldn’t help but notice a girl around her age laughing at a letter Diana thought Oh how I wish I could have laughed at this letter.
“Hello” she said as she quietly making her way to the humongous window that displayed the brilliant view.
