Nodding, she didn't think much about the fact that he'd caught her to stop her from plowing him over, and perhaps allowed his hands to linger a moment or two too long? Looking up into Michael's blue eyes, she was quickly reminded of a somewhat similar situation only days before. Again proximity seemed to be an issue, perhaps it was the Scotland air, or something that like that that could explain away her knack for getting physically too close to people without meaning to.
"I'm pretty sure I'm fine," she tilted her head up with cautious smile. It was then, and only because he made mention of it, that she noticed how long his hands had been on her. Not fully comprehending what his apology was for, she replied "Nothing to be sorry about, I was the one that almost knocked you over."

"So...erm let's go find your little friend", he said sensing the uneasy air of tension hanging between the two of them. It wasn't as if he had put his hands on her waist deliberately, he just didn't want her to fall over again. He started towards the door and looked back at Felicity. well at least she hadn't abused him for the incident.....yet.
"So where did this little friend disappear to?", he asked her, needing to know where to look first.

Raising an eyebrow, Felicity wondered why Michael suddenly seemed very keen to search for her squirrel. Not that he hadn't shown interest in finding him before, but his manner seemed to almost change. Ignoring the matter, she grinned a little. "Well, I'm not entirely sure where he got off to. You see, I was very near to catching him when he was startled from the state he was in and took off."
It was the truth, now she just had to admit which direction she'd seen him trail off in. Nearing Michael, she peered out the doorway quickly. It could be fun to pretend she wasn't sure where the rascal had taken off towards, but then she didn't know exactly how Michael would take to her foolish play. "He might've gone in that direction," she said pointing one way. "Or possibly in that one. Or maybe thata away." Each time she said a new direction, she pointed this way or that, much resembling a muggle cartoon character trying to be elusive to another with directions.

Here's the thing, Mike was only kind of listening to Felicity...not because he was being rude, it was more to do with his feelings towards the girl, now he knew that he told himself that he wouldn't fall for anyone this year...but that was before he had met Felicity. The moment they had just had even if he had tried to hide it, had brought these feelings to the surface once more.
What to do, what to do, he thought to himself as he heard her mention that the squirrel could of gone anyway, it brought a smile to his face. He needed to tell her the truth about how he felt, otherwise keeping it from her could ruin any chance he had with her and possibly their friendship.
"Felicity..........i know we haven't known each other for very long but over the last month or so....well I have started to feel something more than friendship towards you, and yeah I just thought you had a right to know and just that I feel better now that it's out there rather than having me keeping it all secretive and what not"
Real smooth Mike......not, geez why was he such a klutz when it came to telling someone how he felt about them.
"I can understand if you don't want me around anymore as well, if this makes things too difficult"

"Mmhmm," she quickly replied when he said her name. Her brown eyes wandered around the area quickly as she only half-listened to what Michael said; well only until she comprehended his point. Lifting an eyebrow at the next few words out of his mouth, she became slightly frightened. Wasn't this another classic muggle movie scene? The whole, I know we haven't know each other very long.... What was the blue eyed boy getting at? It couldn't possibly be that he liked her, could it? Well that thought was shot when he confessed what she began to fear.
Felicity's face went completely blank while she registered his words. Maybe there was something in the water? This wasn't exactly the first insane thing she'd experienced since arriving to the castle, there was that Celina girl with the cat. Blinking a few times, she really began to worry. This was most unexpected, why hadn't there been signs? Wait, muggle movies had signs all the time, just the girl didn't see them. Bringing her hand up, she slapped her forehead, it couldn't really be. Maybe she just made it all up? Maybe the water was affecting her? Yes, that was it, she needed to stop drinking the water. But why did she imagine Michael confessing feelings for her? Did she have some strange yearning for her friend she'd surpressed? No, there was no way.
Giving herself a moment, she took a deep breath. There was no way. Then the mirage continued. Opening her mouth to ask if what she had imagined had possibly actually taken place, she frozen. Out of the corner of eye she saw it, the streak. It was grey, with a bushy tail, just behind Michael. Side-stepping the boy her eyes widened. Was it possible she just might catch the elusive love of her life?

No reply, no nothing, all she did was sidestep him and at the time he felt his heart sink, why did he just do that......he could of kept it to himself and no one would of gotten hurt, but no he had to open his big mouth on what was meant to be a happy day for him and ruined it all. He sighed lightly as he decided it would be better for him to leave before he caused her more problems and before moving towards the door looked down at the badge in his hand and smiled lightly before putting it back on and slowly moving towards the door.

Walking around the castle was something that had taken up much of Evie Pavion's time. It takes a long time to learn the layout of a new place and Evie was sure that she would never learn where everything was. So, being the artist that she was, Evie decided to walk through the castle and sketch out the entire school as best she could, like a map, to learn where everything was.
Deciding to start at the top of the castle and work her way down, Evie made her way to the towers, her sketch pad in one hand, pencils in the other, with her glasses perched on the tip of her nose. The sounds of voices floated to her ears and she hesitated before walking the rest of the way up to the tower. Standing, she listened for a few minutes before walking into the castle.
She just stood there for a few seconds, looking back and forth between the two people standing before her. A small cough left her lips and she looked down at her sketch pad for brief moment before looking up to the two others standing in the tower.
"Um...Hi?"

"He's back!" she shouted excitedly, not really noticing that Michael had begun to walk away. Of course, her exclamation was shouted over the newcomers greeting. "He's right there!" she yelled as she turned to grab at Michael's arm. She couldn't believe her luck, the furry fiend was only a few paces away, but when she grabbed nothing but air her mind was turned quickly off of the animal.
"Michael?" she asked suddenly concerned as though what had happened only moments before really was a day dream. That's when she noticed the other girl that had silently entered upon the scene. Well, maybe she was the insane one, after all she'd just gotten very excited over spotting a squirrel. Felicity's light brown eyes widened slightly as she noticed how close Michael had gotten to the door, why was he leaving? They hadn't caught the little fiend yet. At least he wouldn't be able to get much further at the moment as the girl was kind of blocking his way. Turning tactics, she smiled at her. "Hello," she said cheerfully as though a very hyper and overly excited Felicity hadn't really gone as far off her own rocker as it might've seemed.

It took Evie almost a full minute to realize that the girl before her had spoken. She let out the breath she had been holding and looked at the boy in front of her, assuming that he was Michael. Taking step to the left, she moved deeper into the tower, her arms crossed protectively over her chest. Her eyes roamed quickly over the room, taking in the stoned features. The fingers of her right hand began to flex, her fingers itching to start drawing.
"Do you need any help?" Her voice was soft, something that she was not used to. A small voice in the back of her mind spoke up, mocking her for her insecurities. "I'm Evie, by the way." She held her hand out, waiting.

He had been almost out of the door when another girl walked in and blocked his path, a slight frown on his lips as it had taken till then for Felicity to notice that he had made his way towards the door. She hadn't even been listening when he had been talking to her, opening his mind to her and what he felt, she was too worried about that darn squirrel.
"I'll talk to you later, I just remembered I have something to do"
Ok so he told a little lie there, but there was some truth in it, he did want to go to the library and have a look for some books.

Felicity couldn't believe Michael's behavior. He had just completely ignored the girl called Evie as she stepped in, greeted them, stepped aside, and introduced herself. That was rich of him, even if after, what she still hoped had been a figment of her imagination, had ocurred. Quickly accepting Evie's hand, she smiled before introducing herself. "Felicity, it's nice to meet you. And unless you can catch a squirrel with your bare hands better than I, I don't know how much help you could be."
All right, so she'd been a bit rude with the way she said what she did, but she was too concerned with how rude she thought Michael had been to worry about her own rudeness. Walking up behind the boy, she grabbed the back of his shirt and angrily whispered to him, "Don't you dare leave without talking to her."

Mike looked into Felicity's eyes, those warm brown eyes that made his heart melt just by looking at them. He turned to the Ravengirl whom had just walked in and smiled at her and extended his hand to her.
"Mike Rolen, 7th Year Hufflepuff Prefect, nice to meet you"
He said in a pleasant tone of voice

Evie laughed lightly at the idea of catching a squirrel with her bare hands. "It's moments like this that make me wish I'd had brother's growing up. Aren't little boys always doing crazy things like that?" She smiled softly, letting her eyes survey the room. A sudden uncomfortable silence settled over the three and her eyes began to dart around the room as if looking for something else to focus on.
A giggle escaped her lips as she watched Felicity grab her friend by the back of the neck and force an introduction.
"Evie Pavion, fourth year Ravenclaw. Nice to meet you as well." She said before saluting the seventh year boy, laughing again.
"SWEET MERLIN!" She shrieked when she felt something furry brush up against her leg.

Celina had lost in the game again. It seems cats are a lot better at hide and seek than Celina gave Emerald credit for. Now it was Celina's turn again to be it and find Emerald. But where in bloody hell did she go? Celina thought. The day was getting late and Celina still had a lot of work to do before the weekend was over. "Emerald!" she called out. A faint meow could be heard in the distance. But which way? In front of Celina was the one of the towers of Hogwarts. Listening closely, scratching noises could be heard. I've got you now my pretty, Celina cackled to herself softly.
Emerald climbed the stairs to the tower looking for one of the best hiding places she could find when she saw a gray squirrel just sitting on the top step chewing on a piece of nut that was probably left in the tower by a stray owl. Emerald crouched down and began to creep up to the squirrel when scolding voices from the top of the tower scared the squirrel away.
Emerald growled softly at her defeat. The squirrel would have made a tasty treat. Climbing the stairs to see what the intrusion had been, Emerald found three other people talking and holding hands. They were odd figures but Emerald was always interested in being affectionate and getting love in return. Quietly while the humans were distracted, she gently placed her body up against the closest person's leg rubbing ever so affectionately to make her presence known.
In the distance, Celina's calls for Emerald could be heard.

"You don't need a boy to do things like that," she grinned at the girl. After all, wasn't it Felicity that was trying to do that same thing, catching a squirrel? Growing up she'd always been the one to chase after a random animal, climb the tallest tree, or go running through the poison ivy to prove the point that not all girls were the same.
Felicity smiled as Michael walked up to the girl and extended his own hand in greeting. At least he listened to her, even after the strange incident she still believed had to have been all in her imagination. Turning her brown eyes toward the area she last spotted the furry fiend, she was startled when Evie screamed. Looking down, she laughed, out rightly laughed. Felicity recognized the feline, it was the same one that belonged to the crazy Ravenclaw she'd met in the bathroom.
"Hello Emerald," she greeted the animal as she reached down to pick it up. While she still didn't care much for cats, she was a bit worried why there was Emerald but no Celina. Last time she'd seen the pair it didn't look as though Celina would let the cat out of her sight, or vice versa for that matter.
