An array of chirping birds woke Morey from his slumber. A pale light glowed beyond the thick, ancient glass of his tower window. Early morning. Pink. Untainted. Bleary eyed, the professor shoved the oversized quilt from his bed and rolled off. Morning. Ah...Morning. Morning. Morning! The first day of class!
With a burst of energy, Morey jumped to his morning rituals in order to prepare carefully for the day. After all, it would be a pity to get haunted by bad luck due to carelessness at the beginning of the semester. His room was small, stationed in a trap door above the Divinations classroom. Never in his life had he lived within a tower. Curved walls made it difficult to decorate with furniture. Someone had crafted a desk that curved elegantly with the room. The ceiling had been decorated with engraved constellations. After a moments contemplation, he realized that there were small tin stars in the ceiling as well, giving it a glittering appearance. Cozy living quarters, despite them being small. And, of course, they were cluttered. There was one wall that divide the large room, making for two sections. The other was his private office and study, with an attached bathroom.
Once he was ready for the day, he opened the trap door and climbed down a ladder into the classroom. It was vacant. And dark. He swiftly moved over to the large, thick curtains and pulled them open, allowing butterscotch sunlight to stream through. Round tables were strewn about, as well as enormous plush cushions. It was perfect. Though a bit dusty. He ran his finger over a few of the glass orbs on the shelves, then glanced toward the fireplace.
"Ah! Tea." He lit the fire.
After the early morning, he joined the rest of the school for breakfast. Classes would commence afterwards. Professor Jules was both nervous and delighted at the prospect. His first day teaching at Hogwarts.
