Her concern was notable, but there was really nothing to be concerned about. They had bumped heads, and there would be no lasting damage. Or at least, he assumed there wouldn't be any.
" Sure I'm sure. " He answered back in his joking tone. She needn't worry about him, though. Her giggles, though, caused Connor to do the same, a small laugh escaping him once again as if he could hardly control it. " I'm not sure if I should be glad that you're so interested in whether or not you damaged something. Or if that what's up here, " He tapped lightly on the side of his head althought he was sure he probably looked stupid, " Is even damagable at all. " He didn't know if damagable was a real word. Likely, it wasn't, but he was just rolling with what he had.
And even as Connor said it, none of it made sense to him. He gave a low sort of embarassed giggle, willing himself to both stop talking and stop laughing like that while he could and before it was too late. Back to the walking... He thought, reminding himself to stop being so... strange around Celina. He turned and made to leave the tower with her. " I'm just going to throw the idea of down out there. Because... well I don't think we can get more up than a tower. " He said, finding himself amusing and begging himself to stop at the same time. Ah, the joy of being a teenager.

Celina didn't understand what Connor was concerned about, or what he was asking if he should be. She cocked her head and looked at the boy puzzled. Should she not have been concerned that she was hurting him? Even if it was on accident? It was accidents that had gotten Felicity hurt in the past, and accidents that had caused fights between her and Drew as well.... and that wasn't even thinking about how accident prone she was when her brother was around, so how come Connor was concerned? If anything, she was just trying to prevent an argument or something.... "Oh, ok..." she Celina said, nodded and hoping he wasn't just saying that he was ok.
Celina laughed at his joke though, thinking that his brain was of course damageable, as he called it. "Hang around me long enough, I'm sure I'd find a way...." Celina sighed, still smiling somewhat and taking back her hand from her head. Connor turned toward the door, and Celina followed suit walking with him and raising an eyebrow at his answer before she snorted slightly. "Thanks... I was thinking the roof, by going down may give us more options." She looked up at the Slytherin and smiled while rolling her eyes. Obviously they were going down... but she had meant the destination of where they were going when they went down.
Quickly walking ahead of Connor, a bit of a step in her step she stopped at the top of the stairway... "You sure you're ready?" she asked him, smiling innocently back at the Slytherin.

Connor nodded his head as he heard her say okay. Relief swept over him as he guessed that she wasn't giving it too much thought anymore, because she didn't need to. He assumed they were good, despite her slightly puzzled look. He smiled, and said. " Good. " He was glad that his stupid little giggle wasn't appearing again, as he couldn't think of anything too funny to say at that exact moment. ' Hang around me long enough, I'm sure I'd find a way.... ' He laughed at her comment, letting a look of amusement cross his face.
" I'm not so sure. I'm.. what's word where you can't get hurt? Invincible? " He said, pondering and talking out loud to Celina. He wasn't positive invincible was the word he should be thinking of, but he was temporaryily brain lapsing. Oh well.
Connor grinned at her as she rolled her eyes at him, and he jokingly scoffed at her comment. " Fine, fine.. " He said, his tone testy but joking all the same. He knew what she had meant, but it was easier and a lot more fun to joke about small little things. Sometimes, though, he wondered if he should just stop while he was ahead. " The roof could be interesting. " He said with another smile as they continued walking, down of course. He fell in step behind Celina, letting her go first. She turned and look back to him and he hurried along, saying, " Patience is a virtue, you know. But yes, I'm ready. " He said, catching up to her and brushing his hand lightly against hers. He went through a list of things on the current floor. Room of Requirement, ancient rune's classroom, deserted and probably a little dusty. " Like anything you see? " He asked, motioning to one of the empty rooms as they passed it.

Invincible. Celina tilted her head and smiled contently. She liked the sound of that. It meant he could never be hurt by her, or by anyone for that matter. He’d have to be really strong for that, and Celina could only admire the Slytherin for that aspect. She wasn’t invincible. A lot of the times, she felt as if she were made out of porcelain, as if Celina Jedynak was actually a porcelain doll, rather than a human girl. Feeble, fragile, weak… and utterly defenseless. “Invincible?” she asked, giggling to herself. “I like the sound of that.”
“Patience is over rated,” Celina joked as she rolled her eyes and lauged a litte. She was not serious of course, but neither was Connor, or so she thought. He grabbed their bags and Celina folded her hands in front of her and turned as he made his way to her side. She didn’t have anything to carry, so her hands were idle. They held on to each other, so that she wouldn’t be holding on to anything else.
They walked down the stairs and then walked by some empty classrooms, all of which Celina looked into as they passed. “The roof could be interesting… I laid on the roof with Guy once and that was fun.” Guy Styles. They’d talked about music and playing, and eventually played together that year. It was fun. Celina considered Guy one of her friends the first time she met him. Nothing close or anything, but Celina liked his intelligence on music, and his way of thinking when it came to the world. Looking at Connor, Celina smiled. “You remember guy from some of our classes, right?” she asked him.
Like anything you see? The question came off wrong immediately, for Celina had no idea what Connor was saying or trying to say. She’d been looking at rooms, but was that what he was talking about? Her face turning back to look up at the Slytherin’s, cheeks becoming rosy and Celina giggled slightly. “What?” she asked. “I didn’t hear you, I’m sorry…” she fibbed.

As they walked along Connor amused himself by counting one of the rows of cement blocks in the wall, he kept his count as he said, " Yes, me too. Keeps my head clear of injury. " And other parts of his being, to be sure, but they had been talking about bumping heads. He laughed, turning to look at the wall as he kept counting, a quiet chuckle escaping him as he though of their head bumping adventure. Smooth, indeed, on both of their parts. He nodded his head along as he counted, not turning back to look at Celina as he said, " You say that now, but really. " He didn't sound too convincing even to himself, so he sent a grin her way.
He kept counting, even though he couldn't really see the wall behind him as he looked at Celina just as she mentioned something about her friend, Guy. That wasn't the troubling part to Connor, because he had met the older boy before and didn't think him too dangerous or anything, but the way Celina said ' laid on the roof with Guy ' caused the Slytherin's cheeks to flair red and he stammered, " Oh, uhm, sounds.. like a good time. " He kept his eyes lowered to the ground, wondering if she meant what he thought she meant. " Yeah, I remember him. " He answered, kicking at a random nothing on the ground as he walked.
He peered into the various classrooms, still keeping count and still paying attention to Celina. ' I didn’t hear you, I’m sorry… ' Connor had yet to realize how something like that could have been taken. " Wha... I mean.. " He stumbled over his words slightly before he managed to spit something out that might make sense. " The rooms. I meant the rooms, if you like anything.. you know.. give me a hollar. " He said, feeling both incredibly amused at himself and incredibly embarassed. ' Like anything you see. ' What a cheese ball thing to say.

She did like the way invincible sounded, and as she tried not to take his words to heart, she did. Celina needed something invincible in her life… not that she would admit that out loud. Frankly, that was embarrassing to even think, and placing an expectation on Connor was not what she wanted to do… at least, with him knowing. Celina nodded and giggled. “Oh yes, I do say.” It may have sounded like she was joking around with the Slytherin, but deep inside she knew her own truths.
He stuttered as she talked about Guy, but Celina didn’t take much notice. Connor did that sometimes, and Celina just figured that it was who he was when he was thinking too fast for his mouth to convey everything he wanted to say. Connor was like that. A big thinker, so it seemed… and he said that sometimes he talked too much (though, Celina didn’t mind that at all), so maybe he just talked so much sometimes that he tripped over a few words here and there. It made sense to Celina, and as she listened to him, she watched him, his face turning a bit red out of obvious frustration from not being able to put into words all of what he wanted to say, and then when he finished Celina smiled brightly and nodded. “It was a great time,” she said, her voice soft and as friendly as ever. “…he was really there for me when I needed someone.”
Looking back at that time, Alfonz had just gotten into the school and Celina hadn’t known what to do. Felicity and her weren’t talking (or were they by that time? Celina couldn’t keep everything straight anymore) and she was avoiding Drew as much as he was avoiding her. All of her friends had abandoned her because they thought she had handled Shaw and what happened between the two best friends all wrong. She turned her head and walked in silence for a few moments, sighing periodically as she did so. Celina knew that she had saved everyone’s life. Not only Felicity’s, but Alfonz’s. Shaw was going to kill him if she didn’t just say what he wanted her too… and Alfonz had assure Celina before that Shaw wasn’t out to kill anyone. She knew…. Celina knew that he wouldn’t kill Felicity… or at least she thought she knew…
Guy had been a friend, and one of her only allies. Yes, their talk was only that one night, but he had been there fore her when no one else really was. He’d helped her in ways that Celina doubted even he knew… he bought new perspective on a horrible time. Looking back to Connor as he said that he remembered him, Celina noticed that his eyes were down as he walked. Brows furrowed in concern, her idle hands separated and she tugged lightly on the Slytherin’s sleeve. “Are you alright?” she asked. Maybe he wasn’t feeling well… but he’d seemed fine before… “Is it your head?” Celina said trying not to smirk a little. Maybe she really had damaged something.
Looking in the rooms, Celina giggled as Connor stumbled over his words, this time for the obvious reason that she had cued him in on what he’d said. She hadn’t meant to embarrass him and all, and she felt horrible for doing so. “I’m sorry… I just didn’t know… I mean, I should have…” Celina just turned her rosy face away from Connor sheepishly and looked in the rooms. Empty rooms…. What could be done for fun in there that they could not have done in the tower? And then they passed by an empty wall and Celina stopped… the room of requirement… She’d spent time in there too with lots of people. Giggling, she looked at Connor with a dare in her eyes.
“So, Mr. Manning,” she joked lightly, though her voice was soft and hardly antagonizing at all. “You know music… you’re invincible…” Celina paused, her face beginning to heat up as she could almost not say what she wanted to. But it was up to her, and frankly, there was something she didn’t know about him that her father would have wanted to know for sure. “…but can you dance?” Her face flared up red, for she’d never actually asked anyone to dance anymore, but her father said it was highly important. Why… she couldn’t know, but they went to enough functions of her fathers to know that dancing was very important.
Alfonz knew how to dance… Drew had danced with her after…. Oliver danced with her at the Halloween dance the year before. Celina wondered if all guys knew how, or if it was a learned trait.

Connor turned to Celina, giving one of his low giggles as she said ' Oh yes, I do say. ' He was pleased to know that his cheeks didn't turn bright pink in color just because of that stupid giggle. It would be the death of him, really it would.
After he had stumbled over his words as he talked about Styles, Connor wanted to mentally kick himself. Sure, she had brought the subject up, but did he have to look like a bumbling idiot as he replied to her? Probably not. His brow furrowed slightly, but he managed to keep his voice level and normal sounding as he spoke. " Oh yeah? He seems like a decent guy. " Had Connor not been feeling the small pangs of jealousy in his stomach, he probably would have said something funny about Guy's name. Really, Connor didn't have any bad feelings for the Gryffindor, but he felt his stomach churn slightly and hoped she didn't mean... what he thought she might.
He returned his attention to counting, it was safer than just stuttering at her.. He even start counting over, starting at one and working his way up. He was glad to hear the she had found a friend when she really needed one, and Connor was confused at his own jealousy. Was it because Celina had never needed him for something like that? Or because of the way she had said it that was putting him out. He felt a light pull on his sleeve and saw Celina's hand. ' Are you alright? ' He turned his head to look at her, wondering what she was talking about.
" I'm fine, " He answered quickly, his natural reaction to being asked if he was okay or how he was. After her second comment, he guessed that maybe she had noticed his slightly gloomy disposition that took over. He shook his head, touching the place where he had bumped heads with her and talking at the same time. " Nah, I was just... thinking. " He said, knowing that she would probably ask him about it, but he didn't want to just say it outright. It would probably make him look pathetic by saying that he was a little jealous. He hoped she didn't mind too much though.
His hand dropped back down to his side, his face still heating up from his ' like anything you see comment. ' " No, I mean.. nevermind. " He said, more than willing to drop the subject if she was. " Hm... " He hummed to himself as he peered into another particularly dusty looking room, turning up his nose slightly at the uncleanliness of the place. It was horrid, and he was glad that they passed it by. He looked back to Celina as she addressed him again, and could still feel the traces of his blush in his face, but not so much as before. He smiled in a sheepish sort of way as she mentioned several of the things they had talked about that he either was or could do. ' …but can you dance? ' He had to admit, if his relationship with Celina were to rely soley on his dancing skills he would have to say hasta luego and goodbye, because when it came to dancing... Connor couldn't dance.
He wondered why she would ask such as thing, but looked to the wall behind Celina, recognizing it as the spot where the room of requirement could be found. Did she really want to...? Gulp. She did. " Well, let's just say that when it comes to dancing, it's not exactly... my strongest ability. " It wasn't that Connor hadn't tried before, his mother and sister had both tried to teach him before his grandparent's fiftieth anniversary so he would know how to dance a real dance and not just the ' standing close together and spinning in a circle ' dancing. By the time the party rolled around that was about all he could do.

Celina nodded as Connor said that Guy seemed like a decent guy but said noting more about it. She smiled contently to herself in agreement. Guy was a decent guy, a bit spacey and distracted perhaps, but who wasn’t? Celina was glad she had him as a friend. She continued to look at Connor though as he responded to her saying that he was fine. She raised an eyebrow, knowing that it wasn’t any of her business, but she hoped he was really. “Ok,” she nodded and smiled at the Slytherin. “Just making sure that I hadn’t made you quite with our head bump… or the wall thump,” she giggled and sighed.
I was just… thinking.
Probably about what to say. Connor had stuttered because he had thought and talked at the same time and his mouth just couldn’t keep up. This only proved to Celina further that her assumptions were correct. Connor was probably one of those guys who thought ten times more than they talked, and even more than that when it came to depth. Celina found herself internally getting excited, and she didn’t really know why. Intelligence though, was an incredible thing to have and Celina admired people with high intelligences. “You seem like you’re the kind of person who doesn’t stop thinking. That’s really admirable,” Celina said nodding her head encouragingly. Connor looked bummed about his thinking, or so Celina thought, so she wanted to just let him know that it was ok. Thinking wasn’t a bad thing, after all.
And then it seemed as if he stopped thinking, and his brain stalled just a bit as Celina asked if he wanted to dance. Instantly, she regretted asking, for she really didn’t even like to dance, herself. She’d only ever gone to one school dance, and that was just the last year, she hated her father’s functions when she was forced and made to dance, and she thought her father’s idea of a dance being the center of all courtings absolutely ridiculous. Drew had thought so too when she had told him, but who wouldn’t? It was something the purebloods of her father’s circle did to see what kids looked cute together and should get hitched. Luckily, Celina wasn’t arranged yet…
Well, let's just say that when it comes to dancing, it's not exactly... my strongest ability.
“Actually,” she laughed looking at the ground as she leaned back against the cold stonewall. “I’m not even good at it. Drew’s tried to help me, because he’s taken lessons, like I have…” Celina rolled her eyes and shook her head. “But he’s a lot better than I am. We actually dance in the Room of Requirement together.” Celina figured that if she could remember correctly, that was the last time her and Drew had hung out by themselves. Every time else was nice when they hung out, but they were also surrounded by a bunch of other friends of his and Felicity. Celina missed the Raven times, but at the same time, knew that it was for the best. After a while, the Raven times didn’t end that well.
“We can do something else though…” Celina nodded and giggled. Everyone had their weaknesses… Connor’s newest weakness –dancing-. Celina took a mental note and looked at the wall behind her. “Did you want to hang out in here? Or one of the classrooms?” she asked.

Eventually all good things must come to and end, and Connor knew this was true as he grew tired of counting the cement blocks in the wall. He had almost started to count them out loud on more than one occassion and decided that he should just stop. He had helped to distract him, certainly, but as the topic of Guy was dropped slightly, he began to think that he didn't need much of the distraction. He didn't know what it was, but he was now thinking back to when he had met the Gryffindor seventh year in one of their lessons at the beginning of the year. Did he like Celina? He couldn't recall the exact details about the encounter or if it struck him as odd during the time. He was probably just being paranoid, yes that was it.
' Just making sure that I hadn’t made you quite with our head bump… or the wall thump. '
He shook his head again, his grin returning once again. " No, no. Wall thump or not, I'm fine. Really. " He added again, finding it endearing that she would worry about him. Thump... what a funny word. He thought, rolling his eyes up as if he could look in his brain and ask what the hell was going on up there. He looked back to the spot in the wall that they would have to walk by three times in order to gain entry into the room. Dancing. Hm.
He quirked his head to the side, wondering if she really thought it was admirable. She didn't have much of a reason to lie to him, though, so he smiled slightly and nodded his head. " You really think so? " He asked, just to be sure. " Because sometimes it can be annoying. " He went on honestly, shifting the packs on his shoulder as he stood. A lot of times it was bothersome to the Slytherin. He couldn't very well do something as mundane as his Transfiguration homework when he was thinking about things. Most of the things he thought he didn't end up saying, usually because there wasn't anyone to say it to, but sometimes because he wasn't sure what people's reactions would be to it. He had strange ideas and had his weird moments but he guessed it could be a good thing as well. Admirable, as she had said.
He nodded along slightly, letting the back packs fall softly to the floor as he tucked his hands into his pockets. He wasn't jealous of Drew, and he couldn't explain very well why he was so bent out of shape when she had talked about Guy. Just a feeling, maybe. He shrugged it off, grinning slightly as she mentioned that Drew was much better at dancing than she was. " And here I was thinking that all girls could dance. " He replied, his lips tugging up slightly into a small smirk lingering in his smile. He didn't really think that, but it was the perfect opportunity to tease playfully.
He leaned up against the wall next to Celina, looking back to the opposite wall. Dancing. ' Did you want to hang out in here? Or one of the classrooms? ' He grinned, moving towards the girl and taking her hand in his own. He gave a small joking bow, and as he straightened back up he said, " You wanted to dance, so c'mon, let's dance. " So there was a big potential that he would make a great big fool of himself, but it was in the sake of fun, and if it was something Celina wanted to do he was willing to give it a go. " Besides, I'm almost positive that you would know more than me. " He thought back to the disasterous lessons he had been recieving from his female family members.

It was good to hear that Connor was ok, even if he had already told her about a million times. “I’m sorry if…if I’m annoying you,” she said bashfully. She just hated to think she’d caused him harm like she seemed to do with so many others. It was accidents mostly, but it still didn’t make her feel any less worried and annoyed with herself. She looked up at him and smiled, noticing his smile again and the slight pink still left in his cheeks. Celina felt her stomach do flips and it tickled, making her laugh just slightly again.
“I do think so,” she nodded, again encouragingly. Connor seemed not to believe her, but Celina’s eyes opened wide and her expression became ten times more serious in a friendly sort of way. “Intelligence and the thoughts produced by having as such is rare…” Celina stopped short, knowing just how cruel that sounded. “Well… what I meant was…” what did she mean? Her brother and father had been telling her that there were more unintelligent and stupid people in the world than the smart. And from what she’d seen, it was true. Felicity, though she was Celina’s closest friend, was not all too bright. It’s why Celina did the planning, and the concocting of their outings and such most of the time. Not to mention, why Celina just couldn’t talk to Felicity about things.
Drew was smart, but sometimes he wasn’t too quick on what Celina was trying to suggest. Selfish of her to think he should be? More than likely, but if they were friends shouldn’t discovering coded messages sent from one friend to another be easy? Maybe it was just because he was a boy though. Felicity and her had discussed boys and girls and such… there were differences. “I mean… you know, deep thinking, and thinkers. They’re hard to find. I can’t think that deep most of the time and you know, I admire those who can.” She smiled genuinely, hoping that she just didn’t mess what she was trying to say to him up.
He nodded slightly, and Celina smiled again only laughing as Connor said he thought all girls were good at dancing. “I’m not,” she rolled her eyes. “I step on people’s feet, and I can hardly look at them when I’m dancing… and sometimes I’m incredibly uncomfortable being so close to someone I don’t know. You know? Dancing is somewhat scary…” she laughed at herself, finding it foolish to be scared of something so trivial. One would have thought she’d be more nervous about the fact her father would be watching her with a hawks eye, at every move she made. “But what about guys? How else do you court a woman if you can’t hold her in your arms and dance with her?” Her father’s reasoning. Any respectable and man, knew how to dance. It echoed in her head back and forth.
After her question, Celina turned her head while it still leaned on the wall, Connor taking a spot near her side. His hand found hers again and she tried not to smile with glee. He stood, bowed, and Celina couldn’t help but laugh. “Right out here in the hall?!” Celina squealed lightly, looking around as if a million people would be watching. “Are you crazy?” It was a question she wondered if she already knew the answer to. “And… I mean… I don’t know that much…” she laughed nervously, and bashfully.

" No, " He said, turning back to look at Celina, " Really, you're not. It's kind of nice.. " He paused for a second or two, giving him time to shrug his shoulders and allow for a smile to take hold of his features, lighting his hazel eyes slightly. " Nice to know someone cares. " Especially when that someone was Celina. He nervously brushed his hair out of his eyes as he looked down to the ground, then back up to the Ravengirl, who was still smiling at him. Ah, she was adorable. He mentally shook himself as he thought this, not that he wasn't allowed to do so, but he just wasn't sure what would happen if he kept consciously thinking of things like that.
He tilted his head to the side slightly, regarding the girl with a curious look, asking her to go on. Connor wasn't exactly sure what she meant, and smiled in response to her encouragement. So maybe it wasn't such a bad thing to be thinking all the time. His look of curiousity changed into a somewhat amused and confused look, still wondering what she meant. To him it sounded like she was saying that there weren't a lot of intelligent people in the world, which was rather true. He didn't think anyone he knew was downright stupid, but maybe not as bright would be the correct term. Everyone had their downfalls, though.
' I mean… you know, deep thinking, and thinkers. They’re hard to find. '
Connor had never considered himself to be much of a ' deep thinker ' so to say, more so as a busy body who just couldn't help himself from thinking. Maybe she was on to something. " That's the thing, I don't really try to think as awefully stupid as that sounds. " There they were, discussing intelligent people and he had said something to make it look like he didn't think at all. Go figure. He smile, his way of apologizing for his blunder. " I mean.. I don't try to over analyze and look at things the way I do, y'know? " He did over analyze everything, but it wasn't always such a bad thing for him.
When it came to topic of dancing, Connor just didn't know how to make heads or tails of it. Where did his hands go? What were his feet supposed to be doing? Was he doing it right? It just never seemed to all fall into place for him. He smile at Celina's laugh, saying, " Well that's alright.. I would probably trip on an invisible shoe lace or something. " He said with a laugh. He was clumsy sometimes, and moreso when he didn't know what he was doing. Dancing fell into that category. " It's not that uncomfortable when you know them, though. " He said, knowing this was true through experience. He might not have been able to really dance, but that didn't stop him from going to dances all that much.
It was just easier when you were comfortable with the person, there was less fumbling and less awkward touching. He detached himself from his thoughts about awkward accidental touching, his cheeks pink, and he grinned slightly as she asked him how else he would court a woman if he didn't know how to dance. " Well, " He said, pausing and thinking of a proper reply. " I've never had to actually ' court ' a girl before. Is it something I should learn if I'm trying to court a girl then? " He asked in a somewhat teasing manner. ' Right out here in the hall?! ' He only nodded his head at first, unable to say anything because he was laughing.
" Hm, it's questionable, really. " He mentioned in regards to the matter of his sanity. He winked as he said this, clearly joking. " Hallway, room... Whatever. You've got to know more than I do. Really. Please? " He asked, giving a pethetic puppy dog look to try and convince her.

Comforted… Celina smiled a small sort of smile, nothing that she’d probably ever shown just like it was. An expression of comfort both on Connor’s face, but most of all on the Raven girls face, for she’d never really heard that her compassion was as nice as Connor was making it out to be. Her brother had always shrugged it off, and told her that there were more important issues that needed care and worrying about… her mother always accepted her compassion, but would hide it away as soon as their father were to notice… and for her father, it just seems as if all the compassion and love in the world she ever shared with the man was taken advantage of. He would use it against her constantly, and yet, Celina still loved her father more and more everyday. Alfonz couldn’t hate the man more, but Celina felt otherwise. How could she hate her own father? “Really?” Celina asked a bit enthusiastically. “Because I’ve been told I worry too much…” her words trailed off into a little half-hearted laugh as she played with a piece of her hair.
As Connor told Celina that he didn’t even try, a smile grew on her face. A deep thinker without having to think really about it or work hard at it… that made more sense than someone who did to her, and the concept of trying at it was almost foreign to her. “Well, obviously someone who thinks a lot couldn’t concentrate on it. That would be defeating the purpose, wouldn’t it?” Celina asked of the Slytherin. To Celina, deep thought had to come naturally, otherwise, it would almost be impossible for someone to achieve. She liked to believe she thought about things, but the fact of the matter was that she did not. It was what got her into so much trouble, after all. Her lack of intelligence to reanalyze what her decisions were going to effect, not to mention where they were going to lead her. So, she definitely thought what Connor was saying was not only true, but pure fact.
Giggling, Celina looked down first at their entwined hands, and then at her own small feet. Only wearing about an eight, her shoe size wasn’t that much larger than invisible in her mindset. “Well,” Celina said. “…then at least we’ll both have excuses.” Celina then looked at Connor’s feet and laughed again, before bringing her eyes back up to the boy’s. “But yea, when dancing with someone you know… it’s a bit easier, I guess,” Celina shrugged. She liked to dance with Alfonz, of course, he knew what he was doing too.
And then Celina just wanted to kick herself, knowing that her families practices of finding ‘the right match’ were a bit old school and traditional. “According to my father, any man who can dance, can obtain a woman of their choosing.” At this, her cheeks flushed brilliantly and she turned away bashfully. “But then again, this is also the man who believes in arranged marriages for daughters and that I should be only with a pureblooded boy.” Celina rolled her eyes at this and then looked back at Connor, the red still clearly visible, but fading slightly. From what Celina thought, Connor wasn’t a pureblood. How could he be? He didn’t fit any fashion she’d known growing up to be a pureblooded wizard. So quickly, Celina squeezed his hand and shrugged, “But I don’t believe most of the ways my father’s been preaching…” she smiled small like and sighed. Who did it matter who she liked… as long as they were nice and cared about her just like she cared about them?
“Well, I mean…” Celina giggled and looked around the hallway. There was no one there, but what if someone walked by? She’d know they’d laugh, and almost certainly stare. Celina could just see herself burying her face within Connor’s chest or something even more embarrassing and ridiculous. “I mean…” Celina looked for any way out of it, but he did say the room…. “What about music? I’m a horrible dancer with it…” she paused, hoping that Connor wouldn’t remember the fact that her harp was always with her. She then kicked herself… why did she have to tell everyone that little tidbit of her life? “I couldn’t even imagine how I’d dance without it…” she gulped looking at the stonewall. Even if they did go in the room, Celina wasn’t sure about teaching Connor how to dance… it’d be a catastrophe… no… she couldn’t do it… she’d mess everything up for sure… she just knew she would.

Connor didn't know why she was worried about it, had he looked annoyed at her? He hoped not, because he just couldn't fathom being annoyed at something as small as her asking if he was alright. If anything, it would be pleasant to know that she wanted to hear if he was okay at all. He smiled his reassuring smile to her all the same, regardless of the fact that he was unsure why she would fret about it. ' Because I’ve been told I worry too much... ' His smile widened into a small grin as he responded. " Well, you do. But it's okay, 'cause I do, too sometimes. " Really, probably everyone worried a bit too much at times, but he wanted to let her know that it just wasn't her who worred about things too much.
Connor always thought of deep thinkers and intellectuals to be the types of people who grew to be philosophers and scientists, they would be ambitious and intelligent at the same time. He didn't know if he fit into any of those, with the exceptions of him being a philosopher or scientist, which he obviously was not. He quirked his head to the side, getting a little side tracked from his discussion he was currently having with Celina in order to think about that. Did she consider herself to be one of those ' deep thinkers? ' He looked back to her, focusing back on the conversation as she continued on. He nodded every so often, finding it hard to disagree with her when she brought up such good points. " It would. But then, can simple people be deep thinkers as well? " He agreed with her, but he was still curious about other aspects of it as well.
While Connor still wasn't that keen on the idea of dancing, it was still enough to keep him amused and smiling. So what if he didn't know how? Neither did Celina. They had both admitted already to being clumsy and not coordinated when it came to dancing, so he wasn't ready about that part of it. He noticed Celina looking down to his feet and he did the same. He was thinking that he hoped he didn't step on her feet, he might damage them a bit as they looked small and dainty, just like the rest of Celina. He met her gaze as he looked back up, still thinking about stepping on her feet. Or tripping. Or falling. The possibilities were absolutely endless. " I just hope I don't... kill you or something. " He said with a nervous laugh.
' According to my father, any man who can dance, can obtain a woman of their choosing. ' Connor could feel his face growing warm and knew that his cheeks were probably turning rather pink. He looked to the ground, wondering what exactly that meant. Could obtain a woman of their choosing? That was very old fashioned of Mr. Jedynak, but it didn't surprise him entirely as he thought back to some of the other things Celina had mentioned about her dad. She had never talked about him or any of her other family members at length, but what she did say Connor tried his best to remember. And arranged marriages? That was the craziest thing Connor had heard in a while, and he offered the girl a small smile. He wasn't sure of what to say, so he said nothing until she made mention of the fact that she didn't believe some of what her father told her. He let his thumb trail lightly along hers, nodding his head. " Well, I guess that would be a good thing for me to hear. " Her father probably wouldn't like him very much, his piercings, his over all thoughts in general.
" C'mon, " He pleaded once again with a teasing grin. He might have been skeptical to dance at all, so why was he suggesting, even begging, to dance in the hallway? He had no idea, really, but thought it might be a bit more memorable if they did. Then again, though, to Connor every moment with Celina was memorable for one reason or another. " Maybe it would be like... reverse. No music means no one knows when you're messing up with the rhythm of the music. " He said, trying his best to be convincing. " But if you want, we could always go into the room of requirement. Get some music playing, something like that. " He offered, and although he was pushing hard for dancing in the hallway he didn't really care too much about it.

Glad that she wasn’t the only one whom worried too much, Celina smiled and nodded. “Well, then,” Celina paused thinking. “I guess we’ll just have to determine later when worrying is appropriate and when we’re worrying too much.” Celina giggled and sighed, glad to know that she wasn’t being annoying, and worrying too much was just one more thing that her and Connor could share feelings in.
However, the fact that he called himself simple made her think. She didn’t think he was simple, and frankly, there was a lot to most people than Celina was sure they lead themselves to believe. “Simple? Do you really think so?” Celina asked Connor with great interest. If he was though it would be a nice change from those she associated with normally. “Because, if you’re so simple, then…” Celina paused to think. Nothing witty or anything smart came to mind. Celina covered her face with her hand, then moved it up and over her head to filter her fingers through her hair. “Actually… I don’t think I have anything to back that up with.” Again, Celina laughed. “I just don’t think I’ve ever met anyone truly simple…”
Both sixths years were looking down at the ground, and when Celina looked up and saw Connor doing the same thing she was, she giggled again and shook her head. “See anything you like?” Celina whispered her jest, pointing her toe and showing off her ‘oh-so-stylish’ school required shoes. Giggling she listened to Connor’s concerns, and then gave him a sympathetic smile. “Ah,” Celina said. “Oh, Connor… you worry too much…” She whispered again and sighed deeply before slipping her other hand with his other hand. “I doubt very highly that you could kill me,” she paused looking at their hands. “…even unintentionally.”
Celina wasn’t sure if her father was right, or if he was wrong and Connor should have been glad but she nodded all the same. She looked at the Slytherin and knew what her father would have thought of his appearance, but Celina found it intriguing and that made it even more appealing to the young girl than not. After a bit of staring, she smiled kindly, her eyes squinting slightly as she did so, and sighed. Again, she didn’t want him to worry about it, for her father wasn’t in this relationship…
“Ok, so…” Celina said more to herself than not, psyching herself up for what she was about to agree to. She could hardly take his begging, even if it were teasing. “Alright…” Celina said. “My hand has to go here,” Celina said, hesitantly moving in closer and putting her hand on Connor’s arm, trying to remember the positions that were appropriate for a waltz of sorts. Of course, she could never truly remember. “And your hand has to go there…” she gestured with her head at her side. “Under my arm, placed on my side so that my arm lays on top of your, and our other hands…” she looked at their other entwined hands. “…stay together and up…”

Celina might worry about if he was okay, or if people were doing alright in general, but what Connor worried about most was time. He worried about being on time, which was kind of ironic considering that he had missed a class because of not being on time, but it was something he worried about a lot. He worried about schedules, and not having enough time to do what needed to be done. He was paranoid about it at times, and at other times, like missing Charms class, he was okay about it. It really depended on the situation so what Celina said next made sense to him. He nodded his head slightly, " Sounds like a good deal to me. " He replied, looking down to his watch and seeing that they still had time before their next class.
' Simple? Do you really think so? ' " Well.. " He started, but paused because he was trying to organize his thoughts. Did he really think so? He supposed he did, because in a way everyone was kind of simple. He grinned as Celina admitted to not being able to think of anything to say." I don't mean that everyone isn't complicated, but everyone's also kind of simple as well. We all need the same basic things for survival, right? " He said, wondering if he was a simple person or not. He guessed yes and no, because a lot of it depended on what he meant by that. He could be simple in the sense that he knew, sort of, what he wanted in life. And he could be complicated because everyone was, and everyone had baggage and a past that told a story, complicated for everyone.
' See anything you like? ' The only reason Connor was able to keep a small blush at bay was to tell himself that she was just poking fun and was referring to the shoes. Of course she was, there was nothing else to be talking about. At least, that was what he told himself anyway. " Oh, yes, I do. Very lovely indeed. " He whispered back to her with a playful grin, looking at the shoe she was currently showing off to him. He only smiled and laughed softly as she teased him about worrying. As for her following comment, Connor waited a second or so before saying, " Well, good. Because that would make me really, really, really sad. " His tone was still teasing but held truth to it as well. He would be really sad if he lost Celina in any way, figurative or literally.
The Slytherin didn't notice Celina looking at him for the first couple of seconds as he was looking down to their hands, which fit so nicely together. He was a big sap, and was always coming up with cheesey things such as that to think about. It made him smile though as his eyes travelled back up to meet the Ravenclaw's. ' Ok, so... '
He could hardly believe his ears, was she caving in? He grinned in a somewhat devilish manner as she went on, confirming his thoughts. He listened to her instructions as his grin relaxed into a small smile. Connor released his hand from Celina's and placed it where she told him to, giving another small nod of his head. " Okay. " He said, feeling kind of funny about dancing in the hallway now. There was no going back though. His gaze scanned down, checking to make sure he was doing what she said. " Now what? " He asked, his hazel eyes meeting her dark brown ones.
