Hiro had read the letter several times. It reminded him of a scattered memory that was like a far off dream. Or could it have been a scattered dream that was like a far off memory? Either case the reality of it was she was writing to him again. Last he had heard from her she had run away to London with some guy. That was two years ago and although they had written a few times to each other it wasn't the same as before.
But now she had made contact again. Not only that but she wanted to see him again. It sounded like she was doing well at her new job and even offered to reserve it as a birthday present (even if it was a little late). For some reason it took Hiro a while to figure out what to say back to her. In the end he decided to take her up on her offer and now had a smile on his face as the school owl flew off into the distance.

It was time to return a reply to her dad in answer to what he'd last written her of. A job, a summer job for her to help pay for the supplies and books she'd need for the next term at Hogwarts. Plus, it would give her a little bit of spending money, something she liked the idea of. While she doubted she'd be getting a whole lot, she really only wanted and needed a little bit. It was a nice idea, having a bit of extra spending money of her own, something she'd earned by herself. True, her dad was the one who set up the job for her with one of his friend's at a restaurant, but at least it didn't mean she'd have to waste time searching for a job. And she rather liked the man she'd be working for, he was nice.
The letter was written, and now all she had to do was find an owl to send the letter off with. Her mum's owl never spent very long at the Owlry, not that it bothered her as she found the Hogwarts' owls rather helpful most of the time. They were only pests when Sammy was around, and unfortunately, the furry animal wouldn't stay put in the Gryffindor common room and instead opted to swish his gray bushy tail around as he played around while she walked to the correct tower.
When she walked in, she almost didn't see the Ravenclaw Prefect as her brown eyes were focused upwards at the birds. But a moment later, her eyes were down on the only other person she saw in the room.
"Hello Hiro," she greeted pleasantly with a smile. And then she wondered if he could tell when someone was smiling or not. They said a person's voice changed when they were smiling, but could one fake it? "How are you?"

Hiro had been so excited about getting together with Meg again that he wasn't paying attention as someone else entered the tower. Of course that all changed when a cheerful Gryffindor greeted him, one that he should know better but still didn't.
"Hey Felicity." He greeted back still smiling. "I'm doing really well today. I just got a letter from Meg and finally got around to replying to her. Haven't talked to her face to face in a few years." The last part was added in more for himself than for Felicity's sake.

It amazed the blonde he knew who she was, especially without being able to see her as she knew seeing to be. She had once read somewhere that the blind could see perfectly fine, but differently and sometimes better than a seeing person could. The blonde figured he was one of those that could probably see better. The thing she read had said they saw with their ears and other senses, and it made her wonder about things. Maybe she was just being too curious.
"Meg?" she asked, unaware of who he was talking about. Maybe one of the graduates? It was possible, after all, he said in a few years, maybe it was someone he'd gotten to know and just hadn't talked to. "Is she your friend?"

"She's my...sister." Hiro said after a pause. He didn't know how much Felicity had to know about his mixed up family life. Was it necessary that she needed to know the story behind how his cousin became his sister, probably not.
Though it wasn't anything to be ashamed of, if she pressed the issue he'd certainly talk about it. He hadn't talk much about Meg since she ran away so there was probably things bottled up that could come out.
"She was a year ahead of Drew and I."

Sister? Meg was Hiro's sister? Felicity didn't even know he had a sister, then again she never asked either. But why hadn't he spoken to her in a few years? It was a horrid thought in Felicity's mind, not speaking to family for a long period of time. Sometimes she had lapses in Hogwarts where she wanted to talk to her family, but she'd never been so far away from all of them for such a long time either. However, she'd gotten through it, and she wrote to them often. But to not speak face to face for a number of years? She could barely comprehend the idea.
"I didn't even realize you had a sister," the blonde answered, wondering why she hadn't bothered to wonder before. Of course, most of what she knew about Hiro she'd learned from things Drew said, and it wasn't right to ask him too much about his friends anyway. And a sister a year ahead? Then Drew probably knew her, but he'd never mentioned her before, had he? "Or that you had one that had gone to Hogwarts at that. But she's doing well, then?"
It was always nice to ask how people were doing. Even though she had no clue until two seconds beforehand, when people were doing well, others were generally happy.

"Well she wasn't always." Hiro said before he realized what a confusing statement that would have been to someone on the outside. "I guess she's more my step sister but she's the closest family I have. Megara Candlebright, she was in slytherin house. She was more rebellious than most her age, it got her in trouble a lot. But now she has a job that she enjoys and is doing well for herself."
Hiro couldn't help but smile knowing that Meg was doing so well. And the fact that she had invited him and some friends to come visit added to the smile.

An even strange turn of events. She wasn't always his sister? Scrunching up her face as she thought about it, she couldn't come to a right solution to that factor, so Felicity was glad when Hiro mentioned she was his step-sister. That was a way for her to not always have been his sister. It was a solution Felicity hadn't thought of because she wasn't really all that used to the idea of step-family, she didn't think she really knew anyone in her family that had step-anything. Not even someone that married another with children' already.
A small smirk formed on at the corner of Felicity's lips when Hiro said she got into a bit of trouble. Hadn't Drew told her that of himself and Hiro on more than one occasion? Like sister, like brother? Even if they were only step-siblings. And while she knew Drew and Hiro's trouble had been because they were pranking, she figured the same of Meg, or rather Megara. That was actually a very pretty name.
"I'm glad," Felicity told him truthfully. The smile on Hiro's face was proof enough that she should be glad. "Does she live in...Ireland?" Felicity wondered carefully. She couldn't quite remember where Hiro lived, but she thought it was Ireland.

Hiro had been caught up in a few memories of their time at school together so it took him a moment to get back to the conversation at hand.
"No she lives in London now. She works at the Wicked Times now and she seems to really be enjoying it. She wants me to come with a group of friends over summer leave. Kind of a birthday party that she's throwing since she felt bad for missing it."
Making a guest list wasn't easy though, five people didn't really make a very good party but he wasn't that close to most of his year or years before his.

Nodding her head, Felicity hadn't really thought too much that she'd probably be living closer to where she worked. Of course with the ability to apparate it had to be easier to travel back and forth between home and work. Then again, she'd heard and read some awful gruesome stuff about apparating and doubted she'd ever be able to do that.
"The Wicked Times?" Felicity asked, recognizing the name of it. "Isn't that the pub Drew's going to be working at over the summer?" Felicity was sure that was what he'd called it and had tried to secure it to memory to never say the name of it to her dad if at all possible. First of all, it was a pub and her dad wouldn't think too kindly on it, and second, the name wasn't really too proper anyway. Knowing her dad, he'd have a coniption fit because of just the name, let alone it being a pub.
But maybe it was Hiro's sister who'd gotten Drew the job? He'd said it was a friend of his who'd helped him out.
