Drew grinned back at her. He had never minded the pet names as much as she did (of course, pookie was a little nausiating), but knew her too well to think she was serious about it.
When she slipped from his grasp and called him over to the statue, he trotted after her peeking behind the masonry to find young Jase hiding.
"Ravenclaw firstie," Drew answered, giving the boy a once over. "You spying on us Jase?" he challenged. He didn't think he really had been, but sure as heck didn't want the kid to think he could start.

Drast! He had been caught as well! One of the two banshees made her way over to him and planted herself at his side, causing Jase and all of his overactive imagination (as no boy of eleven in their right mind would be in this state at that age) scurried away from the foreign-looking and foreign-sounding girl. He watched her critically, could she be one of Allegra's posse? Not likely if she was with Drew, unless his imagination was in the right mind.
"No!" he exclaimed in protest, and then cleared his throat. Gotta be sly, Jase. Sly. "Of course not." He looked back to the girl nearest them and then the other. "Are you in trouble here?" He asked Drew, in a not-low-enough whisper.

Jase, must be that new Raven-firstie. Alhana couldn't help but laugh at the way he scampered back from her. Did she really look that intimidating. She grinned her 'I'm going to eat you' grin just in case it did to take advantage of the situation and a sparkle came to her grey orbs.
Raising an eyebrow up at the boy at his audible whisper, Alhana jabbed Drew in the arm. "Him? Igen, he is in trouble. I'm taking him to the torture chamber now." she stated in the best serious tone she could muster.

Drew cocked an eyebrow at Alhana before turning back to the first year. The kid looked like he was on pins and needles just being around a girl. Maybe he hadn't needed to tell that little story about the evils of Allegra after all. "Nothing I can't handle though," he answered slyly. "What are you doing here anyway?"

Instead of backing away further, Jase kept his gaze on the girl, eyes narrowing further. She did not look, or sound, like someone who would worse makeup or homework at him, or terribly confusing, and thus she was checked off his 'beware of' list until she proved more threatening.
Nodding to Drew's assurance, he beamed and explained in very short words, "hunting," he said as if it was all that needed to be said, then poked a finger in Alhana's direction. "Is she.. all there?"
He was of course refering to the torture chamber and the lunitic grin on her face.

"Good man. Bring us back an erumpet to mount in the common room," Drew told Jase. Had it not been for Alhana's sudden return, he would have joined in the game in an instant. "Keep an eye open for trolls though. They like the dungeons the best."
At the worried look Jase gave Alhana, Drew smiled back. "I hope not because anymore and I doubt I'd be able to handle her," he answered, lowering his voice just a tad. Drew knew he'd probably get a good smack for it, but didn't really care.

At the moment, Alhana was feeling quite in the dark. Was she all there? Of course she was! She wans't a bloody ghost. Her face betrayed her confusion but she figured by Drew's lowered voice that he was joking but she jabbed him in the side anyways.
"Aye. I can hear them thumping away from up here. Be careful, lad." she told the boy, hopinh to shoo him away from the statue so she could retrieve her small hidden tresure that he just happened to be standing on.

Drew laughed and jumped back from Alhana's poke. She had missed his side this time, but the Gryffindor was one of the few people who could usually hit that ticklish spot of his with deadly accuracy. He didn't want any weaknesses compromised or exposed in front of the firstie.

Despite Alhana's urging, Jase did not seem to gain the hint that he was standing on some obstacle or another of hers, but instead he nodded vigorously to Drew's comment.
"I think that was where they were heading, ran into a few on the fourth floor," he replied sheepishly and then swelled out his chest at Alhana's about being careful. "I'm not afraid of a troll, I'm ten times smarter than they are."
Now that was quite a boast. Even Jase's own folks wondered about his house selection.

"Dude, you know that isn't really something to be bragging about right?" Drew told him. "I mean, trolls are like the most stupid creatures on the planet. Ten times nothing is still nothing."
He smirked as Jase, oblivious of Alhana's attempts to get in, kept his position. "The bigger question is whether or not you're fast enough to catch them," he told the younger boy.

"You better run now so you can cacth them before they can cause any more damage to the castle." Alhana claimed seriously. She was ready to physcially remove the youngster if he didn't move his person from where her little treasure lay buried beneath his feet. "Who knows? They might already be on to destroying the kitchens! Best go save us all from starvation!" she exclaimed with a solemn nod.

"What say you go find more big game, Jase," Drew told the younger boy motioning with his head that he needed to get lost, but saying it with a tone of kindness. "I'll catch up to you later and you can tell me about it?" He hadn't meant for it to come out as condecending as it sounded, and hoped Jase hadn't noticed it.
