A strong breeze blew over the grounds, rustling through the trees and over the lake. Birds chirped their lovely songs and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. All in all, it was a perfect day for coming back to one's home away from home. The grounds gates thudded shut, followed by hurried reassurances and goodbyes in a language that would seem like gibberish to anyone that would be able to hear.
Alhana Starbreeze was all but bouncing in her shoes as she lugged her two enormous trunks up the cobblestone path; it hadn't occurred to her to use her wand- she was too excited for that. The Gryffindor looked much the same as she had when she left the grounds last. She still had the same onyx hair, the same vibrant eyes, but her smile radiated so much more on this instance.
Just about the only people that knew she was back would most likely be the Headmistress and the Deputy Headmistress. Alhana hadn't told Drew yet because she wanted to surprise him. If only her blasted luggage was a tad lighter!

The scraping noise of trunk on cobblestone caught Keagan's attention from her roost in a tree above the path easily. In a few quick motions, she landed on her feet beside the tree, laughing at the exertion the tree climb had necessitated. Then, back to the event at hand, Keag stepped into view of the path, and just as quickly, her jaw dropped. "Alhana?" she inquired, in an awestruck tone. Could it really be?

Drew was coming out of the Dining Hall, dragging his feet behind him, not sure where to go or what to do at this particular point. He hadn't eaten much and probably wouldn't need the extra dessert he had stashed in his pocket, mostly out of habit now. He should probably start working on his Potions homework, but really didn't feel up to it.
Drew hadn't felt up to anything in a while- eating, sleeping, trying to climb up to the common room chandelier. A number of people had commented on his moodiness over the last couple of weeks, but only a few had actually figured out what was behind it. With a heavy sigh, he kicked at the bannister before making the slow climb up to the common room.

Grunt. Almost there. She could see the light! The oak doors were getting ever closer and Alhana couldn't wait for them to open. While it wasn't that hot out, pulling and tugging her trunks was quite tiring! Ruddy supplies...
And that's when she heard a familiar voice and a familiar figure just ahead of her on the path. "Keagan!" Alhana exclaimed in return in her ever thick accent. The younger Lioness dropped her luggage and embraced a House mate she hadn't seen in ages. Even though they had never become close, it was great to see the first friendly face on the grounds again. "It's so good to see you!"

"It's great to see you, too. It has been awhile," Keagan replied, smiling as she returned the younger girl's embrace. "You look like you just got in. Do you need some help?" Because they hadn't been incredibly close, Keagan got the feeling that a big part of Alhana's joy came from the fact that she wouldn't have to manage her luggage alone, but that fit the older girl just fine. They were sisters by house regardless.

An expression of relief flooded over Alhana's features and she bobbed her head eagerly. "Igen! It is quite a pain in the back doing this-literally!" she declared, wriggling her finger in the air and putting a hand to her lower back for emphasis.
Blowing away a loose strand of hair, the fourth year opened the door and dragged the heaviest load through, but stopping a little ways in so Keagen could enter through the propped open oak door. "How has everything been? Bet the common room has been pretty quiet, eh?" she asked with a wide grin, her voice carrying through the Entrance Hall.

The door opened behind him and Drew looked over his shoulder, mostly out of habit rather than curiosity. He took little notice of the two girls coming in until he heard them talking.
It's gotten worse... I'm hearing her voice now... he thought at first, as he tried to shake his head clear. Stupid me... I thought I was getting better...
But as she finished speaking, he turned around. He looked at the girls with his head tilted to one side, hardly believing he wasn't seeing things and barely daring to speak.
"Alhana...?"

Alhana had barely shut her mouth when it opened once more and she spun towards where her name had come from. Her grey eyes lit up and her smile got considerably brighter at a sight she'd been looking forward to the most; Drew was really the only reason she had even come back.
Keagan was completely swept from her mind as the bouncing Hungarian all but darted up the steps to where the tall Ravenclaw stood, who looked as if he thought he were hallucinating.

It took him only a second to realize it really was her and Drew lept down the steps, whooping and laughing as he swept her into his arms and twirled her around. "You made it! You're back! How'd you manage it?" he asked, breathless and excited.

Rolling her eyes and expecting the scene to get awfully mushy, the fifth year quickly swept both trunks up with her wand and an incantation as she continued at a considerably slower pace up the stairs and into the castle. "I think I'll take these up to the common room and leave you two alone," Keagan called as she walked on, though she guessed that she was already out of sight and forgotten.

Alhana let a giggle escape her as she was twirled around and wrapped her arms around him as tightly as she could, thankful to the stars she was finally able to embrace him again. Caught up in the excitement, she forgot to speak in a language that word make sense to Drew, and began babbling away a mile a minute in Hungarian. "Nem tudom! Én elítél apa hoz enged én visszajön! Villers volt foglyul ejtett..." and other such nonsense. Villers was the keyword in this particular phrase that spewed forth from the only Starbreeze that returned to Hogwarts.

Drew was too caught up in watching her eyes and listening to her voice that he barely noticed he couldn't understand a word she was saying. He grinned down at her, just thankful to have her back in his arms again.
But at the mention of Villers, his eyes clouded. "Wait... what about Villers?" he asked, stopping her mid-rambling.

Alhana puffed out her cheeks as she was interrupted and scrunched her nose. Now her words weren't so nice, and she spit out unprintable curses triumphantly. "That no go arse was caught! I'd like to get my hands on him, I would! Made life hell, he did! And now he's rotting away in some God-forsaken prison Merlin knows where! He's never getting away again and if he does I'll curse him to Hell myself!" she exclaimed, her cheeks flushed as she spoke of the Rat, for he surely looked like one. Acted like one, too. "That's why I was able to come back, see? Apa was still, um, immovable, but he had so many enchantments put on me before I came back that he finally gave in." Alhana explained, nodding her head eagerly.

Drew let out a sigh of relief to hear that Villers had been caught. Hopefully, he'd stay caught and the Starbreezes wouldn't have to worry anymore.
"Enchantments, huh?" he asked, a sly little twinkle forming in his eyes. "Can I still do this...?" he asked, taking her face into both of his hands and giving her a good, solid kiss on the mouth.

All Alhana could do was nod her head and sigh contentedly. Poor, no, SMART Keagan had quickly fled the scene at the assumption it would get mushy. Alhana had been so distracted that her words went in one ear and out the other. All was right in the world again. She was reunited with one of the people she cared most about, she was back and better than ever-Merlin help the new Gryffindors, and she was back in her second home. The only downside to everything was that she didn't have her other half with her-that was still back in Hungary. That thought saddened her, but perhaps she could convince her Nover to change her mind. Who was going to help her ruin the Common Room?
The eldest Starbreeze squealed again, for she was still quite excited and bouncy and it would take days to wear off, and she hugged Drew again. "I missed you so much! It's so good to be back." she mumbled in a slightly muffled voice, back meaning back with him.
