Lily laughed. "You will be forgiven," she said. "It couldn't hurt just once, I mean everyone experiments at some point in their life. I guess Rugby was your experiment. But why in the world did you want to? And how did you even begin to understand it? Rugby is the sole most confusing game on the face of the earth."

"Some of our dads played," Kellen answered with a shrug. He didn't really realize it was a big deal. "I don't know, growing up in my neighborhood, you just kind of knew. I'm not saying we played by all the right rules or anything, but we got the basics down. It's like Americans playing their football in their backyards, you know? Or street hockey. It was just fun."

Lily nodded. "Right," she said. "I guess I never really did much of that. I wasn't exactly the sportsy type and even when I did want to play the other kids wouldn't let me. So I suppose, I didn't exactly miss out on much right? I mean I'm not depraved that I never played Rugby."

Kellen gave a small smile. "Yeah, probably not. At least you've gotten to play Quidditch though, right?" he said. Quidditch was better than Rugby any day, in his book. He shifted his weight and, without realizing it, put his hand in his pocket and closed it around the letter. He pulled it out and looked at it. "I should probably owl my sister back," he realized aloud.

Lily nodded. "Yeah and I should probably go inside. I have some homework to finish up. I'll see you in the library though right?" She asked. She twiddled her thumbs unconciously as her hands were together and just resting there, not doing anything else.

"Right. Tomorrow after classes," Kellen said, a little distractedly. Their conversation had made him almost forget about the letter, but now his mind was fully on it. "Er, have fun doing...you know, homework," he said. With that, he left to go back to the common room and start writing. He knew he couldn't send the letter until it got dark out (his parents weren't too thrilled at the idea of owls showing up at their house during daylight hours.) Still, he knew it would take him a while to figure out what to write.
