His coats dripped water as he walked into the Great Hall. Shivering slightly he pulled his hat off, letting him see more then just infront. He was alone in the hall, or so he thought.
Dropping his bags to the floor, Brodie up the stairs. Not a soul. He smirked to himself. Most likely all in class.., he thought.

Drew had a free period and was jumping down the stairs making his way outside when he saw the man in the hallway. He paused and eyed the guy warily. He didn't look like a new professor and was too old to be a new student.
"You looking for someone?" he asked, making his way up to the stranger.

Brodie's eyes darted up, focusing on the boy. After a few seconds he smiled slightly.
"Not particularly. I've just arrived as you can see," He nodded to his bags,"and I was just looking for someone to show me to the Headmisstresses office." Brodie's eyes still scanned the surrounding area, just to be sure.

"What do you need her for?" Drew asked, more out of nosiness than anything else. He didn't care much for the headmistress (he had a sneeky suspicion Raynor actually ran the school without the title), but was still curious why this guy wanted to see her.

"I've been sent here in top secret ministy buisiness. She needs to know that I've arrived." He said to the boy, still looking.
"Has anyone or anything....weird been going on lately?" Brodie questioned.

Drew snorted. The 'top secret business' game was an old one and the Ravenclaw was familiar with it. Anyone with half a brain would be able to see right through the story.
"Reina's been acting nice to the house elves, but most of us think it's just so she can get them to do her homework," Drew answered.

"Has anyone done anything a bit more..agressive? Any fights because of blood?" He asked the boy, now looking at him. If this was information that would be of use to him he would sit through hours of mindless babble to get one speck of anything.

Drew sobered up, starting to suspect the guy was actually serious. There had been the attack on the Ravenclaws, but he doubted highly that the incident had been blood related. He and Ari were pure-bloods. Before Drew gave any real information, he wanted some himself.
"You say you're from the ministry?" he asked. "What office?"

"Department of Magical Law Enforcement, more specifically I'm an Auror." He said in a matter-of-factly tone. Giving the boy a quick grin, he went back to buissiness.
"Now, anything about any sort of attacks. I don't care how big. Anything will help." Brodie said, watching the boy. He knew something.

"An Auror?" Drew asked, raising an eyebrow, and while he was intrigued, he didn't think it was his place to be spilling any secrets... especially since a good bunch of them involved friends of his. I mean, it wasn't like the Slytherins had plastered the dark mark all over the common room or anything.
"Shouldn't you be talking to Raynor?" he asked. If he was who he said he was, the Deputy would be the one he should be talking to, not some kid.

"If I remember school as well as I hope I do, then students, more so then teachers, know the truths." He said, replacing his hat on his head.
"I also have no idea where the Headmisstress is.." Brodie nodded.

"Raynor's not the Headmistress," Drew answered plainly, not voicing his opinion that as an Auror, the guy should probably follow some protocol at least, if not recognize the name of an ex-Auror. Drew's suspicion was up. He wasn't sure he could trust this guy.

He shrugged. "I didn't go to school here. They just kind of booted me from work. Told me I was to go to Hogwarts, stay around for a while, find out what was needed, and then leave. Since the cut on our pay they're just finding a way to get us out of the office." He frowned slightly at the thought of having his meager pay cut even more.
"They're spending the money on little issues that needn't be spent on. And they're letting people go who are under suspicion!" He scoffed, getting slightly flustered at the thought.

Drew just smirked back and figured the guy must have been fresh out of the Academy. He talked an awful lot about stuff Drew probably would have kept to himself. Which brought up the boy's next question.
"So how does an Auror go around proving he's an Auror?" he asked, still eyeing the man suspiciously. "I mean, any jerk can go around claiming he was an Auror, right?"
Maybe he'd try that game one day... convince the firsties that he was the youngest graduate from the Academy... or placed undercover back at Hogwarts because of his young-looking face. That might work...

"You know, there is no way of telling." He said, now staring back at the hallways. He blinked once, but kept staring.
"How do I know you're really a student and not just a bad guy in hiding?" He asked back, taking a step forward towards the hallway.
