As he knocked on the door, he suddenly realized the idiocy of what they were about to do. While the chances of the door opening to reveil nice professors giving them candy (accompanied by a few raised eyebrows) were high, there was a chance that a mean nasty professor would open the door, ready to give them all detentions. The question was, who would it be?
{dun dun DUN...}
Pushing the thoughts aside, he pounded on the door with the other Ravenclaws and at just the right moment shouted, "TRICK OR TREAT!"

"You need to knock a little louder than that if you actually want them to hear us," Allegra told her brother, surprised that he seemed so nervous about stopping at the professor's lounge. She didn't have any problems with the teachers and was expecting a pleasant experience obviously. She took it upon herself to reach around Drew and knock again.

"Did I hear someone say LOUD?" Kyle caught up with the group from behind. Don't ask me why, but he was dressed up as a mouse this year, with the tail and ears and whiskers. He was extremely hyper. He thought for sure he would have to miss out on trick-or-treating this year. When he found out this particular Ravenclaw tradition, he almost died with joy and excitement.
"TRICK OR TREAT!!" he shouted right after Allegra knocked, his shouting along the rhythm of his fist banging on the door.

Charon watched the young Ravenclaw burst forward to bang on the door. The kid was hyper, and he was going to annoy someone if he didn't calm down soon. That fact that that someone was likely to be Charon was immaterial. He reached out his hand and put it lightly on the kid's shoulder. "Hey, mate, calm down just a touch here, alright?" Charon said kindly. While he wanted the kid to stop acting so hyper, he didn't want to crush his fun. Or have anyone yell at him for seeming to do so. He looked back at the door expectantly, waiting for a professor, any professor, to come and give them candy.

"It's Halloween, give him a break," Allegra told (not scolded) Charon, grinning at Kyle's enthusiasm. Of course, she would be keeping an eye on the firstie's sugar in take this evening, just in case, but the night was still young and a litlle excitement never hurt anyone.

Jack watched as the a few of the group banged on the door. He didn't really want to bang on it himself and it looked like Kyle had it covered with his shouting alone. It was obvious the boy was excited about going around the castle trick or treating. Jack didn't really mind the kid being hyper and new that he would probably just get more hyper as the day went on, especially if you gave him candy. "I think its a lost cause Charon. Just wait until he gets candy in his system." Jack said with a smile waithing to see if the professors were going to open the door or not

Ash stumbled behind, several yards behind actually. This was the worst costume to go trick-or-treating in ever. She had almost fallen once, on the way here, and was out of breath already, trying to keep up with the other Ravenclaws. She'd thought that they'd wait for her although they were already way ahead, knocking on the staff door already.
Ash huffed and puffed, still trying to reach them, only about three yards to go.

Not yet in costume, there was in fact, a Professor in residence that day. Banks was getting ready, amusing Leah as he did so, and the Deputy had laughed and suggested she step out and come back when he was finished and she would get ready. They were indeed going to attend the ball in costume, hopefully not the only Professors brave enough to do so and had already decided what they wanted to go as. But neither had seen each others costumes. It was going to be a final surprise.
It was going to be the first night without one of them watching over Leah. She was almost two months now, a day from it actually. And the person that would babysit come the dance was responsible, but. Ah. In other words, she was in the Antechamber, leaning back in a chair with her feet kicked up, sipping at a cup of tea.
And almost wound up wearing the tea as various shouts rumbled through the door. Shrugging to her feet, she opened it and found -- a good majority of her house gathered before the door. At least, she thought it was her house behind those outfits. She knew they went out and did something around this time every year, but never had inquired what.
"What in the name of Merlin is 'Trick or Treat'?" She asked then, baffled.

Allegra smiled sheepishly at her Head of House. She was used to expalining the tradition to some of the professors but it still seemed odd to tell them they had to give you candy in order to get rid of you.
"Trick or treating... we go around, knock on the doors and the person who answers can either give us a treat or let us do a trick," she explained, though she doubted that if raynor picked the second option, they'd be egging the lounge or wrapping it up in toilet paper.

Ash had finally reached them when Raynor had answered the door. As Allegra had explained what Trick-or-Treating was she was confused a bit. When she was younger, she would just leave her neighbors alone when they had no candy although she guessed that this was the original tradition. Ash doubted that Raynor would let them do anything to the Staff's Lounge, but wondered if she had any candy to give them.

"Personally, I'd prefer the treat," Charon said as he opened his pillowcase. "I'd rather not get in trouble for pranking a teacher, after all," he added. That, and he hadn't brought any pranking objects. Nor had he brought his wand. He was completely unarmed if someone chose trick. Unfortunately, if Raynor didn't know what trick or treating was, she likely didn't have any candy in there to hand out. And he was rather hoping to get something sweet to munch on on the way to the next stop.

Drew was just thankful to see Prfoessor Raynor behind the door instead of a certain other teacher. He was starting to thing that Solis was spying on him.
Like Ash, he was used to leaving non-treat people alone, though he did know the reasons behind the Trick part of the day. Of course, there had been that one time he had to stand on his head for his grandmother who decided to see what they would do if she had picked trick. He wasn't about to mess with his grandmother anymore than he was the professors.

Norbrook who had been walking down the corridor on his way to the staff lounge when he heard yelling. Listening more carefully he heard them saying Trick or Treat. He knew immediately what they must be doing. It was a muggle tradition to go from house to house on Halloween night gathering candy from each of them. Walking behind the group he noticed that the Deputy Headmistress had answered the door and seemed a bit confused by the group.
Moving around the group so that he was standing off to one side of the door he said, "I'm sure we can find something in the staff lounge that will satisfy this groups hunger." he said with a smile looking at all of the students in their costumes. He was well aware that a few of the professor, ok maybe not a few, maybe only him, kept a stock of candy on hand in there. He thought that it would be even better since it was a muggle tradition that they should give them muggle candy. If only he could get into the staff lounge that was now being blocked by a combination of the students and the professor.

Solis, who was having a headache and unaware that Norbrook stored candy in the staffroom, decided to just ward off the students by sticking her head out of the door. "Here, just take this," she handed them all three sickles and a dungbomb each from her pocket, but gave Drew an ugly paper weight. (I've decided that's too mean) This was their lucky day. (Hmmm... harry potter puppet pals, much?)
She blinked at James and gave him a lopsided smile. "Hello James, are you trying to get in?"
If it was one holiday she hated, it was Halloween. She hated trick-or-treating, especially because she used to have such traumatic childhood experiences. One time, when her brother Javier brought her to San Antonio on Halloween to visit relatives, they went trick-or-treating. A person was cruel enough to put a razor in an apple which almost killed the Solis' family cat. Since then, Ellie hated Halloween.

Ash approached the Muggle Studies Professor with a small smile, "If it isn't too much trouble, could I get some water too?" she asked with a desperate look upon her face. She wouldn't expect the man to say no although felt a bit bad for asking at the same time. She had taken her large moogle head off by the time they had gotten there, it was just too hard to see in.
She quickly turned her head to Solis who had just appeared suddenly, she slipped behind Charon. For some reason, there was something about that woman that wasn't right. You could say that Ash was a bit afraid of her.
