Finn stood in the Entrance Hall, looking around and being alarmingly aware of how new he must look. He had his trunk beside him, a paper with directions in his hand, and his jacket and hat were still on. Finn was completely unaware of his surroundings, as he was more focused on finding his way around than meeting people at that particular moment.
"I'm never gonna find my why 'round here," Finn muttered to himself, looking up the the grand staircase for a moment before he just looked back down. Finn read and re-read the instructions over and over and over again, but still had no idea where he was supposed to go. He suddenly found himself very hungry, but eating would have to wait for now.

Deryn slumped down the stairs to the Entrance Hall once again, and it seemed like it was the only place she'd been lately. Of course, she was on her way to the Great Hall. It was nearly dinner, and she was practically starving.
Coming down the stairs, Deryn caught a glimpse of someone standing at the door. At first, she took no notice and kept walking, but that was until she heard their voice. The boy was muttering about not being able to find their way, and Deryn stopped dead in her tracks. She knew that voice. She knew it well. Turning around, Deryn saw the hat. There was only one person in the entire world who had that ugly hat. It was Finn.
"Finn?!" Deryn blurted out before she could think. Surely Finn couldn't be at Hogwarts, he was at that private school. It had even been ages since they spoke last. Deryn was transfixed by the stranger at the door, and she suddenly found herself gaping.

Finn had heard someone coming down the stairs in front of him, but he decided to not look up, not really keen on talking to anyone at that moment. But that was until he heard his name, and it was being spoken by an all-too-familiar voice. A grin spread across Finn's face, but he still hadn't looked up. He knew who it was, and he knew he was being a brat by not looking up, but he kept his gaze down.
"And a good evening to you too, Miss Morgan," Finn greeted her, and finally looked up with a huge grin on his face.

Deryn let out a high-pitched girly squeal and lunged at Finn, jumping on him and giving him a huge hug. She didn't know why, but she felt her eyes starting to water too. It was so good to see Finn again, and she missed him so much. "Oh my God, I missed you," Deryn whispered to him, still not letting go. She gave him one more tight squeeze and then finally let go so she wouldn't strangle the poor boy. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?!" Deryn questioned.
((Bah, I g2g! TTYL!))

Finn realized that he should have expected this, but he was caught unprepared as Deryn leapt on him. He caught her somewhat, and grunted under the sudden extra weight. "Oof! Jesus!" Finn muttered, letting go of Deryn and stumbling backward slightly, "Missed you too," he squeaked out as Deryn's embrace on him tightened.
"When was the last time we told each other anything?" Finn retorted with a frown. He really wished they'd stayed in contact. He was starting to realize just how much he missed her.
