After a fairly sucessful haul from visiting the Huffles, the Ravenclaws climbed the stairs up to the Staff room. Every year there was some sort of debate about whether or not to visit the staff. The pros and cons were always given and in the end it was usually decided it would come and bite them in the butt if they didn't at least stop by. Besides, someone usually gave them some pretty good stuff for their bags... Leading the group of Birdbrains (and friends who decided to join) to the door, Drew once more knocked on the door and shouted out the traditional greeting: "TRICK OR TREAT!" {first professor dibs given to Profs. Kinsley, Tapia, VanAller, and Davenport please }

Halloween was usually a night that Rachel took herself into Diagon Alley, where the festivities were awesome, but this year, well, she felt that she couldn't leave the castle. It wouldhave been her eleventh Halloween in the bustling street, but as Rachel was now a teacher, she lived in the castle, and it would have been a long journey to Diagon Alley and back, and basically, the astronomy professor fet that it was not worth it.
But of course, Rachel had not been expecting her very own house to organise a school wide trick or treat. Okay, so it wasn't exactly everyone that joined in, but they went everywhere, so Rachel considered it to be quite a cool thing. Lead, of course, by Drew Thornton, Rachel wished that she could have gone with the group, but she felt that she would have lost respect from a few of her fellow teachers.
When Rachel heard the cry shouted from none other than Drew's mouth, she smiled and stood up from her books and papers, picking up a bag of lollies that she had collected for the group. Licorice wands, pumpkin pasties, and of course, Bertie Botts, with all the nicest flavours. She didn't feel that now was the time to play a prank on her students, as she was still trying for their respect. She wasn't sure if she had been successful, but she really hoped that the students liked her.
Opening the door, Rachel gave her nicest smile to the kids in a group outside the lounge, although she was a little bit jealous. "Okay, I'll give you a choice." Rachel grinned at the Head Boy. "Would you like a trick? Or a treat?" She joked, holding up her bag of lollies.

Drew was always slightly nervous about going to the staff lounge. While he got along with most of the professors, there were a couple he'd rather not see on the other side of the door. It was a bit of a relief to see Professor Kinsley open the door and he couldn't help but groove a little right there in the doorway, letting off some excited energy.
He was kind of curious to find out what this "trick" might be that the Astronomy professor had, but knowing how skittish some of the kids (namely his younger cousin) might not be ready for a prank. "I think we're opting for treats this time around," he andwered with a wide grin.

Jeremy peeked out from behind his much taller cousin, still not sure how he felt about seeking the professors out. While Jeremy doubted that the staff members would physically harm him, he had been ridiculed enough by teachers to still be wary.
Drew seemed comfortable and that gave Jeremy a little more confidence, coming out from his hiding place enough to notice that the Head of House was offering lollies. His eyes grew big and suddenly his voice found its way out. "Do... do you have green?" he asked quietly.

As was her habit, Becca found herself in the staff room at the end of the day, enjoying a last cup of tea before making the trek across the grounds to feed her animals. And as was also her habit, she was oblivious of the date other than it was a Friday and the year was probably still 2008. When she heard the cry outside, she pulled her nose out of the book she was reading, curious about what the fuss was for.
One of the other professors answered the door and it was the sight of the small group of students on the other side that made Becca a little more aware of the season. She had nothing to offer the students save a few treats she kept in her pockets. Unfortunately, they were kneezle treats. She doubted it made much of a difference and wandered over to the group with a smile, placing a piece of kibble into each of their out-stretched bags.
Actually, perhaps they might appreciate Professor Kinsley's offerings better...

Jax was in the back of the group and as the Head of Ravenclaw opened the door, Jax smiled brightly and held open her somewhat full bag. Ok, so it wasn't that full, but Jax wasn't too picky. This only proved to be more the truth, however, when Davenport reached the doorway. A small tint of red graced the girl's cheeks as she looked around to make sure no one noticed. Jeremy and Drew were speaking to Kinsley about what lollie they wanted, so Jax had full reign on Davenport's offering. Not really noticing what the professor was slipping in each of their bags, Jax smiled brightly and her blue eyes danced excitedly.
"How are you, Professor Davenport?" she asked, somewhat sheepishly. "Having a good Halloween?"

"Oh, hello Miss Chaput!" Becca smiled brightly as she recognized the pumpkin speaking to her. In fact, now that she looked carefully, she thought she recognized a few of her students, Ravenclaws mostly.
"My Halloween is going quite well," she answered, failing to mention she had just remembered it was the 31st a few moments ago. Perhaps the pumpkin lanterns floating around the castle should have been a tip off. "And how is yours going?" she asked back.

Jax smiled as she was glad that the woman was too spacey to recognize her in her costume. For some reason, Jax could feel her face become rosy from just that alone, but she didn't pay much attention to it. "It's going well.... we'll be stopping at Gryffindor next, so that's always fun." She nodded, trying to sound mature, but at the same time dressed as a pumpkin and so feeling a bit self conscious about the costume choice. Maybe she should have gone as something more beast like... of course, Jax would more have fit in a number... Thinking her mind trailed off into other things as the young Raven looked around the group hoping that she wasn't looking silly for lingering.
Trying to see around Davenport, Jax looked for any other professors in the room who were hiding out. If anything, they'd give more treats in Jax's opinion. But she couldn't see, so instead she sighed and shrugged.

Hearing the noisy shouts of tricks or treats, Desideria sat in the staff room busying herself with a sweater she was trying to make before the cold hit too soon. Fortunately things seemed to be going swell enough and she was making good time. The woman had heard a few rumors around the school about this particular group of students and therefore was prepared for the bustling that was to take place soon.
In potions fashion the woman had brewed up a bit of candy of her own, all in vials that made it look like it was just a plain old potion, but each had markings on it to indicate it indeed was sweets. The performance of her treat would not only make smoke steam from the ears, noses emit tiny puffs of clouds, and water eyes, but it would also create loud popping noises as it trailed down one's digestive system. Awful, yes, but it was Halloween. Besides, it tasted all fine and dandy, every flavor she had did. And there were a variety.
Putting her crocheting to the side, Desideria rose from the creaky chair she was in and bustled on over to the students, a delighted smile on her face. What such wonderful unity!
"'Ere you are," she told them as she began dropping the vials in each bag. Blue Raspberry for the Thornton boy, pink lemonade for Chaput, Strawberry Lime for Taylor. And none contained kiwi as the woman was sure to conduct her research thoroughly enough and make sure she did use anything that students were allergic to, this also included potion ingredients and not just flavors.

Jeremy took the offered vile, not exactly sure what was in it, but pretty sure a Professor wouldn't be giving him something poisonous. Then again, the other one gave him something that looked like a dog cookie so he couldn't be too sure. He was confident though, that Drew would make sure it was okay. Besides, he thought Professor Tapia was the best teacher he had. She wasn't confusing and she didn't make him use his wand.
He peeked inside his bag and counted his booty. He had been told not to eat the things he got from the Slytherins, but the Hufflepuff treats were fine. He didn't think he'd try the dog treat, but Tapia's vile was awfully pretty. Kind of like liquid rubies.
