The Leaky Cauldron very recently was the scene of a heated argument, a battle of wills if you will. The contestants; Sergei Thanatos, Head of the Department of Magical law Enforcement, and Juan Marcos, recently appointed Astronomy teacher at Hogwarts.
The Two began pleasantly enough, but quickly, their amiable discussion turned to a heated argument. One of the patrons of the bar saw Marcos graze the neck of Mr. Thanatos with his fangs. The young man, who prefers to remain un-named, told the reporter the following. "It was amazing. I walked down from my room to hear the two of them shouting at each other, and I saw, well I didn’t see because it was so fast, Marcos leapt from his chair. This lunge ended right behind Sergei, and with a move that spanned no more than a blink of an eye, the vampire's fangs were extended, mere centimeters from the neck of Thanatos!"
When asked how He responded to this, Mr. Thanatos denied it ever happened. He claimed that there was never an argument, but an engaging battle of the wits, one that he did not claim to have won or lost.
Dissatisfied, our reporter went back to the Leaky Cauldron and asked a few more questions. We found out that Sr. Marcos, who is a vampire, was not taking the fact that an Auror would have to be present in his classroom. Also, The Vampiric Professor Completely refused to even allow an Auror to enter his classroom or living quarters. The whole time, Eyewitnesses said, Mr. Thanatos was calm and collected, not showing any fear or anger.
Of course, We also tried to track down Sr. Marcos, but he eluded our reporter, and we werent able to... (Continued on B2, Vampire)
