WANTED WIZARD; Elevens More Than They Seem
June 12th, 2007. Fliers, like the one pictured on the front cover of this Issue of the Daily Prophet, are being distributed all over Great Britain and Wizarding Europe. The Ministry of Magic has, at last, released pertinent information related to the Dark Mark Appearance on Hogwarts grounds earlier in May. The attack was an attack and is more related to recent ongoings in the wizarding world than anyone could have feared.
The Elevens, a noted nickname for those involved in an ongoing infraction to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement 'Code Eleven', is much more than simply juvenile infringement against muggles. Much more indeed. This is not a group of children trying to revive dying idealisms. There is reason to believe that this is a more structured and organized task force. A good part of which may include adults, an organization that is calling themselves The Deva.
Our Reporters at the Daily Prophet have researched this word and found that it has ancient relation to the ideas of "purity" and "one-ness", leaving one to speculate if this is just muggle related or if it includes those 'not pure of blood', or 'pureblood'. An idealism that dates back to You-Know-Who himself. Members of this organization are considered high risk to the community. The Ministry urges Wizards and Witches to submit to them names you believe could be apart of the Deva.
One such member is Robert Shaw, former Professor at Hogwarts School and Herbologist. Our sources show that he is incorporated with this group and did indeed have a hand in the disappearance of Andrew Thornton, and may have with Rebecca Davenport and Tristan Howard as well -- all of whom we now know were in the Hogsmeade vicinity when Avery Thorne was murdered. This man is extremely dangerous and should not be approached. If you see this wizard, you should notify Ministry Personnel immediately and leave the area. His knowledge of herbs and known control of the Unforgivable Curses leaves him a great risk to the Wizarding populace.
On this subject, the Minister of Magic had a statement to give: "We are not regressing to the times of Lord Voldermort. These are not Death Eaters; who the Ministry rounded up after their 'Dark Lord's' down fall. But nor can we put them aside so easily. We do not know how many Deva there are, or how serious they will be. But it was enough to use Unforigivables on a Hogwarts Student and maybe the murder of a prestigious Witch. This will not be taken lightly."
Indeed it should not. Those of us who remember when Cornelius Fudge was in office can understand the serious consequences of underestimating your enemy. What this holds for the Ministry is uncertain. But it is going to be make a large statement.
With all of this, we inquired in Andrew Thornton, the recent abducted, had anything to say to reporters. The Minister compressed his lips and told us that "I have been told Mr. Thornton has no comment to these events."
Obviously information is being withheld from the Prophet or there is a third-party withholding information from the Mini- (Article continues on Page 2)
