The Department of Magical Games and Sports has scheduled a three day music festival spanning from July 21 to July 23. This event will be held at the prehistoric wizarding monument, Stonehenge, just thirteen miles north of Salisbury, England.
"After the negativity that has plagued the Wizarding World in the past year, we hope to bring together witches and wizards from near and far in a peaceful celebration of music," elaborated Matthew Harper, Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports.
The Stonehenge Music Festival is scheduled to have over fifty prominent performers including the Magic Wands, Screaming Banshees, and the Four Sickles. With school out, it is expected to be a great time for both kids and adults.
Tickets will be sold according to the number of days one wants to attend. A one-day ticket will be 10 galleons, two-day tickets will be 15 galleons, and a three-day pass will be 20 galleons. A camp sight will also be available for those participating all three days of the festival. Food and drinks will be complimentary while souvenirs and alcohol will cost extra.
A gathering of the world-wide magical society that will be one for the history books -- one would not want to miss the event of the summer!

Additional story to Stonehenge Music Festival Announcement...Elizabeth's Tears Singer to be Revealed Any fan of the well-known band Elizabeth's Tears has always been curious about their lead singer, Li Mei. While the rest of the band, Ben Mathers (vocals, writer, guitar), Mike Lwistke (vocals, bass), and Jacob Winester (drums), are regular faces at celeb-filled parties and award shows, their singer remains a mystery. With their edgy rock-alternative sound empowering the beautiful yet grungy voice, raw lyrics, and danceable beat of Li Mei, Elizabeth's Tears' music is regulary requested at parties and clubs for both Wizard and Muggles alike, despite the fact that their most recent album hit WN airwaves three years ago. So how could it be that the lead singer of this popular band has stayed under the radar for so long? And how did Li Mei become part of the band? (The guys are all childhood friends who have known each other since their days at Hogwarts.)
"We recorded in our own studio," band leader Ben says. "Me da' had all the equipment and taught us all how to use it. No one really knew about it and we weren't too big on the idea of having someone else push us around, so we set down our own tracks in there. We'd recorded several songs, but no one would play them. Or they would and the tag would be something like 'Here's another garage band trying to make it big, but we think they'll be another bowl of shyte' and no one really got excited about it. Then Mei came along and things just.....fell into place. It's kind of funny how it happened..."
As it turns out, Li Mei had been going through a rough patch in her life. At only thirteen years old, the young woman had lost two loved ones, been dumped by her first boyfriend, and taken up smoking. Among these problems, she also struggled to keep peace with her friends and worried if she would ever have a family to come home to. On one particularly trying day, the young woman had, she admits, "skived classes" and set off for the nearest town (which the band currently will not disclose). It was, as she says, "pouring rain" and while taking shelter on the front stoop of the Mathers' residence had heard the band practicing. It was only a matter of time before the band heard her singing along to the tunes they played and they soon invited her in and asked her to sing with them.
"That's about all there is to it," explains Jacob, the band's drummer. "Mei had the sound we needed and we all get along perfectly. She was only a teenager, though, and really wanted to focus on her studies and we were fine with it. We got the music where we wanted, got the radio play and two albums, which were selling well enough on their own. We didn't care to do any tours or anything, so we put the albums out and let her do her thing while we relaxed and wrote more music."
Now that Li Mei is out of school, however, things might be changing. The band met a few times last summer and this last December to write and record new songs, two of which ("You May Not Be Perfect, But You Are Perfect For Me" and "I Lost Everything But You (You're All That Matters)") have already received ample air time on Muggle radios and on the WWN. Both were co-writen by Mathers and Li Mei, who is proving herself to be quite the talent. All that's left now is to unveil the face behind the voice. The place? Stonehenge Music Festival, happening this July. Until then, the guys remain stubbornly mum on their singer. They're sure everyone will be surprised, though. According to Mathers, "Not even her best friend knows." Submitted by an anonymous HR member
