(I assumed thats what you wanted/expected me to do ) The little girl bit her lip, a look of intense concentration on her face. "Hmm," she murmured, stalling. A sharp tingle ran through her body, and Emily was reminded that unfortunately, Polyjuice lasted no more than an hour. She glanced down at her left forearm, removing her right hand from Shaw's to ostensibly trace the numerous freckles. Had she not known to look there, she would have missed the slowly darkening skin where her Dark Mark was. She did not have much time left, she noted. Deciding to gamble a bit, 'Katie' finally said, with a question in her voice as if she was not sure of her information, "Hogwarts?"

( ) Why the girl hadn't said that in the first place he didn't know nor did he care by now. All he cared about was apparently Hogwarts was their next stop. He knew hardly anyone on the staff, so it was highly possible that one of them was indeed her mother. "Alright then, that is our next stop. Theres no sense in dilly-dallying around here if your mother works up there now is there?" Robert stated more than questioned. This was to be a long day indeed.

"Okay," the girl replied, hurrying her pace to keep up with Shaw's larger stride. The pair walked for a few minutes in less-than-companionable silence, and soon enough the castle came into view. At this sight, Katie frowned.
"I don't know which door to go in!" She claimed, a tremor starting up again in her voice. The wrong word from Shaw would have the tears falling once again.

The girl's words caught him blatantly off guard. There were only three real doors that one could go in that he knew of, one off the greenhouses, the Entrance Hall doorway, and the third off the courtyard. Whichever one they entered would determine which one they went in.
"Hmm, well, where does your mother work?" He questioned, the girl's name by this time having completely slipped his mind.

Emily, unfortunately, was an occlumens and not a legilimens, and as such had no way or knowing or finding out exactly which teachers Shaw knew.
"She works at Hogwarts," she informed him, her tone suggesting that she thought he was a bit of an idiot-- after all, her inner eight year old reasoned, she'd already told him her mum worked at Hogwarts, hadn't he heard her?

(I worded that wrong, but all for the better)
"I mean what does she teach?" Robert questioned, taking only minor offense to the girl's attitude. Her attitude, Robert realized, he was becoming accustomed with (much to his displeasure).
He looked down at the girl, all the same curious wondering just how a parent could be so inattentive of ones child like this. And that thought brought another to mind, were children under school age even allowed on the premises?

(All the better, my darling professor ) Emily frowned. The professor, though rather inarticulate, eventually did ask the question he had intended to. And she had no answer. Sometimes, of course, the truth is the best answer. "I dunno," the little girl replied, shrugging. She screwed up her face in a look of deep concentration, as if trying to remember the name of the subject. After a moment, she shook her head. "I dunno," she repeated.

( ... )
Her response resulted in a raised eyebrow from Robert. The girl couldn't be no less than seven years old, and no more than perhaps nine, what child, at that age couldn't comprehend where the parents(s) worked?
"Well then, I can't exactly help unless I know where to look. What did she work with, plants, animals, spells?" Robert inquired, trying to narrow down the level of searching.
