It seemed as though the winter conditions had been reacting just as chaotically as the situation in the castle distanced from the small popular pub that Shay stood in front of. As a result, she was almost being blown away as she stood and stared at the nearly empty establishment, glancing between the activity beyond the windows and the bit of sickles that clinked around her hand. She hadn't brought much money with her as a mistake and with something like hunger hanging over her, she figured finding some place to eat could quell her senses.
She did not want to speak about the encounter in her office back in Daily Prophet. Things had been done, and now she would have rather put it aside for then. Other than that, she had her attention divided neatly among several people. There was Allegra, gone in that castle with Merlin knows what was happening. There had also been some of the professors, and students she knew of before, that including Celina.
And of course... Alfonz. He hadn't been around in the last few days, she could tell by just the absence of noises in the apartment next door to hers. She wanted to count it off as a coincidence, but she didn't want to think he was gone for something so quickly, not when they never had a chance to come in contact with each other since the night he walked away from her.
Well into the pub by then, she had set herself silently into a booth, and ordered a sandwich and a glass of water. As the waitress made her way to get her order, Shay couldn't help but look at her own party of one. This is pathetic, she found herself thinking. She was growing more and more lonely in the face of chaos.
