Michael pulled Michelle in hurriedly to Flourish and Blotts, the first wizarding store she had ever stepped foot in. It was amazing the expanse of such a tiny appearing place. There were so many books to look at and read. Michelle let go of her brother’s hand to check the first bookshelf.
“Look at this place Michael!” She exclaimed excitedly grabbing a book off the shelf ((Auror’s in the Twentieth Century)).
I thought you would like it. Here… He handed her a small sack full of wizard money. I think you can handle this by yourself. I just have to go and see some of the new stuff they have in the quidditch store. I’ll be right back I promise.[/i]
Before she could protest or even say goodbye, her brother darted out the front door and down the street. She stared at the door then down at the bag of money in her hand.
Can I help you girl? The clerk beckoned to her from behind her desk.
Michelle looked up. “What?”
I said, can I help you? I take it you’re a first year?[/i] She looked over her horn-rimmed glasses at Michelle.
Michelle nodded. “Yes, I will be. Hogwarts...”
Yes, yes. I know what you need.[/i] And with that the lady disappeared to the back leaving Michelle all alone.

Lianna had slipped through the door just as the older, and far taller man (I assume?) walked out. She had only been in the very same store a week before but at the time had never thought to get her books for Second Year. All she did was talk with Professor Ashford and wait for her father again...this time though she was here for her books, and her father was off doing Merlin knew what. She knew where she had to go, but felt a bit apprehensive about it. After all, she was alone this time.
Wandering her way toward the counter she saw a girl about her age, who looked as nervous as she had when she first arrived at Hogwarts. How Lianna currently felt about going back. Biting her lip Lianna tapped the girl lightly on the shoulder. "You alright?" She questioned, a small, but comforting smile on her face.

Koren's mother inside the bookshop to get all her Second Year books. Then she said something about Julia being outside and left her there. Well she had the list in her hand so she knew what she had to get. Koren first looked all around and then headed toward the counter side stepping an old lady who had rushed in behind her. Some of the books looked dusty which meant she wouldn't be touching them anytime soon. Others looked brand new with the spines still intact. There was a book on display that was purple and a large nightingale sang from the cover. Somewhere else a book shrieked and it was getting annoying already.
Koren too walked up to the counter in hoped of getting her books for school. When she did she heard a "You alright?" from a familiar girl. She recognized her from Hufflepuff but again the name escaped her. She was talking to a girl who looked younger than them. And who looked a bit freaked. "What's going on?" she asked the two.
((hope you don't mind me crashing while it's still early))

((not at all! Thanx to both of you for answering.))
Michelle looked up at a older looking blonde. You alright?
But before she had time to answer, another girl waltzed in. What's going on?
Michelle managed a smile. "Hi. I'm Michelle Paul. And yes, I'm quite alright. I was just a little nervous. This is my first time in the wizarding world and my brother has already left me alone here."
She gave a small laugh and stretched out her hand to the first girl who had approached her. "Glad to meet you. Uh...what's your name?"
She then looked at the other girl her smile widening. "And you, what's your name too?"
She outstretched her free hand to the other girl and waited for both to respond.
Good thing I have two arms instead of just one!

Koren shook the hand the girl had stuck out for her. "Koren Hurst. Glad to see your alright. As for this being your first time in the wizarding world, welcome. As for brothers, I'm glad I don't have one." Koren was an only child so she didn't have to deal with the pesky situation of other kids in the house. Neither did her parents for that matter. Which all worked because Koren got everything she could want and got to keep it all for herself. Michelle was short, shorter than her even when she was eleven, which wasn't long ago. She was nice though which was okay. At least sometimes it could be, but niceness would get you nowhere.
Now she listened up for the other girls name. The one whose name she kept forgetting.

Michelle let her other hand drop to her side since the Koren had shaken it. "Well, I'm very glad to meet you Koren. I'm not so sure I'm quite used to the wizarding world yet but I have a feeling I will be. And you're lucky you don't have siblings."
She laughed turning to the other girl who still had not shook her hand. "I'm just glad that, so far, everyone has been nicer to me here than my brother has been."

(Oi...not blonde! >.>)
Lianna as well shook the girl's hand, far from firm but it wasn't exactly limp either. "Lianna Maylorn, you were in some of my classes right?" She questioned at Koren, committing the name to memory for whatever future small talk it might serve later on. The girl, Michelle, she seemed alright, nice, nervous but...alright.
"I've got a sister, but no brother, so, I guess I break even..." Lianna offered, a small shrug accompanying the words.
(writers block...sorry)

Koren nodded. Now the name was familiar. Lianna Maylorn. She had to stop forgetting that. Lianna Lianna Lianna Lianna. "Yeah, your always with ummmm Abigail something." Koren was not good with names. If she did not talk to them, or care for that matter, then she forget about them. There were some people who stuck out though because of stuff they did to her. Those were usually the people who Koren wanted to forget but they stuck anyway. Oh well. At least she knew who to watched out for. "Not everyone is nice." Koren said to what the other girl had said.
That was true. Koren could be very mean when she wanted to be. So it was best to stay on her good side. That Patrick kid had to find out the hard way. Koren smiled deviously at the memory. She had only shot a tickling spell at him, but it had been effective. She'd know more spells to use on him next year. Her second year was going to be fun.

Sabrina was really confused. There's so many different stuff in here. It's deffinately not like the stores back home. She thought to herself. She just kept lookin around the aisles of books about spells and charms and just about anything else you could think of. I don't think I'll ever get any of the stuff that they teach at Hogwarts. She told herself. She then saw a group of three girls talkin to each other by the counter. Well...if I'm going to make friends, here's a start. She thought. After a couple minuets of just standing there, she started to walk to the bunch. She thought of what she would say to them as she walked. Wow, this seems like the longest walk I've ever taken. she thought yet again. As she reached the girls, she said, "Umm...could you guys help me, I'm a firstie and I'm really confused."

Michelle smiled at Lianna then turned to Koren. The other two girls talked for a moment giving Michelle a chance to focus her gaze at the many books around them.
There's so many....I wonder how long it would take to read them all?
Just then another girl approached their group. Umm...could you guys help me, I'm a firstie and I'm really confued.[/color]
Michelle shrugged. "Don't ask me. I'm a firstie too. In fact, I'm a firstie to the wizarding world if you catch my drift. I'm probably more confused than you are."
Her smiled widened as she glance from Lianna to Koren. "Maybe they could help you?.."

"This is just all so new" she said to the girl. "I mean, I've grown up all the way in the States, in a muggle city. i don't have a clue of what I'm doing." she laughed as she told the last part. She turned her attention to the other girls. They seemed nice enough. I hope they don't make fun of my lack of magical...knowledge i guess is a good word for it. she thought to herself. They must think I'm realy stupid, I mean how hard could getting books off a list be? Gosh I'm so embarassed! "Well thanks for your help any way. Wait! Where are my mannors, the name's Sabrina." she stuck out her hand as her mother had taught her to do so when meeting new people.

"Koren," she introduced herself to the girl who had joined them. "I've never even left Europe. So I don't have any idea of how America is. The "States" as you called them." It was the truth. She had never left Europe but she had left England. As far as she was concerned she neither cared to go, nor wanted to. Just as she had said this a clerk had reappeared. Koren assumed she "reappeared" because she carried a stack of books that looked familiar. They were first year books. Things Koren was kind of aquainted with. She studied when she wanted to. Which was not all the time. She did enough to get by.
The woman clerk walked over and laid the books on top of the desk, and eyed the other girls that were there. Her eyes were sharp and looked wearily at the girls over her glasses. "I 'spose you girls need books too. What year?" the lady clerk asked. Koren handed her list to the lady, being glad that she didn't have to do all the heavy work. She especially did not want to search for books. Shoes maybe. Even clothes. Not books.

yea "You should realy consider going over to the States. It's just wonderful there. Somtimes i wish i never left." she started telling Koren. To the store owner she said," um....I'm a first year." Wow this year is gonna be just fine. she thought to herself. I can't belive i was so worried about making friends! It's easy! She turned to Koren yet again. "Yea...I've never been out of Wisconsin. This country is totally different. i think I'm getting used to it though, hopefully!" she said with a wink.

"Lianna." The Hufflepuff introduced, a moment after Koren. She hadn'tt alke to much of anyone last year, she would change that this year, No, she wasn't about to talk your ear off, but she would definitely meet more people. At least she knew that most of this year's seventh yars wouldn't do much damage to the firsties. She wasn't sure about a couple of them though.
When the store clerk looked to her to take her order, Lianna shook her head. "I'll find mine, thank you." The girl politely replied, dismissing the woman with a small smile. It was a bookstore, she could easily find a couple that weren't on her school list while she was looking. "I'll, see you guys around I guess, I'm going book hunting." Lianna claimed before giving a small wave and disappearing off among the shelves.
(Sorry guys, my writers block keeps kicking in and I don't want to hold you guys up)

(no its totally ok...i get that alot...probably why mines sounds so lame... lol) After saying Hi and bye to Liana, Sabrina got her books from the store clerk. She looked them over in her arms because she was a very curious girl. They looked very complicated. Well, how complicated could they be? I don't know anything anyway. she thought. Well at least these girls are nice enough to say hi and try and help me out. She turned again to the two girls who were left standing there, "Well I guess I'll see you all at school. Bi Bi."
