Unable to hold back a small crooked grin of anticipation, Curtis Sutherland heaved open the doors leading to the The Apothecary, though he needed far more effort than he had originally intended to display. For when Curtis reached the large, heavy wooden doors leading into his destination, he found himself forced to tug on the bronzen handle with as much strength as he could provide. Naturally, this was very large in comparison to most boys his age as Curtis possessed a remarkable thick form, and was at an advantage due to the fact that he had spent the earlier years of his life avoiding manual labor. Fortunately for him though, he possessed a strong will and an impatient nature and so after several large jerking motions, he finally ripped the wooden door open. The smile that had curved around his pale feature moments before in anticipation instantly exploded into a full wide and straight grin and he stepped into the shop.
This smile could be easily explained by the fact that Curtis was one who had always dearly loved the Apothecary as he saw each visit almost as an adventure. After all, the store, though arguably creepy not to mention retched in stench, always displayed such incredible and unique items that Curtis, having lived the life of a muggle until he was eleven, found fascinating. Even though he was a pure-blooded wizard, he hadn't had much of an opportunity to visit the Apothecary.
With his deep cobalt blue gaze brightening with delight, much as a child’s would had they been set free in a candy store, Curtis began to make his way around the shop. As he passed through several different aisles, he casually let his hands drape amongst the shelves in a carefree fashion as he touched everything he passed whether it was the fang of an unknown beast or a bag of indefinable powder. He finally came to a halt in the center of the store, far from the view of any store owners as something shiny suddenly caught his eye. Ever curious, and ever amazed by anything exceptional, Curtis set his gaze on a small bottle of a shimmering blue potion that had caught his eye with its metallic appearance. With a gentle touch usually unknown to such a wild boy, he then lifted the potion up from its holder and brought it closer to his eyes and gave it a quite shake, and quickly grew enchanted as he immaturely watched a small speckling of silver float gracefully amongst the deep royal blue coloring of this strange liquid brew.
