Do they have to be black? (Clair)

Maddy had just walked out of Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour with her mother holding two great big ice-cream cones. They sat down and ate them while Maddy was glancing around looking at all the weird shops. When Maddy finished her ice-cream her mother was only half-way through " Mom can I go and get my school Robes?" Her Mother nodded and gave her money to buy them.

Maddyson Raced to Madam Malkins To get all her things including:

Three sets of plain work robes (black)
One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
One pair protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
One winter cloak (black, silver fastenings)

Maddy got measured by Madam Malkin herself. She seemed to poke a little harder when Maddy complained " This is BORING!!!" or " Do they have to be black?!" Though soon enough, she had finished, and went to fetch the black robes Maddy was dreading. Taking the three sets of black robes in her hands, she then waited for Madam Malkin, while she was busy finding a hat size for Maddyson's head. Gazing around slightly, she took a step back wards before bumping into someone behind her. Swiveling around, she then said in a calm voice "Oh, sorry, i wasn't watching where i was going."

Alright, now this was turning out werid. The second time Claire had arrived in Diagon Alley turned out to be the second time someone ran into her. Well, at least her grandparents let her shop on her own for her school things. Before hand, she was getting her robe mesurements done and was going to pay for them but she was standing behind a girl who was complaining about this being boring. Claire had to admit that though it was.

But as the girl waited, she took a step backwards and bumped into Claire. "It's alright" she told her. "At least you didn't hit me hard." she smiled.

"Phew, again im sorry " Maddy said with a relieved grin on her face. "The other person i bumped into had a fit at me." Maddy wandered around the shop. She could not believe her eyes when she saw how beautiful her winter cloak was. "I'm Maddyson by the way," Maddy said as she held out her hand. "Are you getting all your school stuff now?"

Maddy's kitten leapt out of her arms and started to rub against Claires legs. "Awww, she likes you!!"

Claire just watched as Maddyson wandered the shop. "Nice to meet you. I'm Claire." she introduced, in her scottich accent shaking the other girl's hand. "And, yep I'm still getting my school things too." she continued. Before Claire could continue, she felt something move against her leg. Of course she was familiar with this since she had a pet at home.

"What a cute kitty!" Claire said picking up the cat. "It reminds me of my kitty back at my grandparents house. They normally don't like it when I bring him with me."
