Puraexcolo darted through the thick crowds of Diagon Alley as he made his way to the book shop to buy what he would need for the upcoming year at a new school. Today he was clad in jeans of a very dark shade of blue and a black t-shirt. As he darted through the crowd he couldn’t help his stick fingers from finding a galleon or sickle or a knut loosely guarded.
He weaved through the crowd with a practice, even doing such a thing a choosing the most packed crowd he and making a game out of it, seeing if he could go without touching anybody at all or see seeing how money he could “find on the ground”. Of course, he didn’t always win, and this was one of those instances. He was just about out of a group of people when his foot caught on a loose cobblestone and he tripped out of the group and into a passer by.

Celina had just enough money left to buy a few more quills and ink botttles for school. Her mother had told her to hurry up and get the supplies before they had to leave for the ministry to see her father for lunch. Running through the crowds, Emerald on her heels, she could see the store in the distance. She couldn't belive how many people there were just all over the place and getting in her path. Meowing in the background, Celina had stopped to look for Emerald who had lost her way among the people.
"Emerald, come on! We don't have all day. Mum will be upset if we are late."
Turning back around she just barely caught the sight of someone running right into her, knocking her over. Both landed on the ground with a huge thud and Celina watched the last bit of her money fly through the air.
"Oh, no!" She exclaimed as she watched her money get stomped into the ground. She turned towards the person who had bumped into her as Emerald finally caught up with her. "I'm sorry, but you really shouldn't be running into people," she stated softly.

Puraexcolo had barely hit the ground when he saw the money fly out of the girls hand. He rolled to the side and sprung to his feet and in a second he had disapered into the crowd. In only a few moments he reappeared with almost half of the money she had dropped, he had been able to recover about ¾ of it but kept 25% as a ‘finders fee’.
“And you really should keep a better hold of your money.” He replied and shoved the small amount into the older girl’s hand. He didn’t look right at the girl, already he could feel his stomach turning. Should he apologies for knocking her over or for making her drop her money or both? Should he help her to her feet and then leave or stay and try to make the dreaded small talk. Not sure what to do he just waited uncertainty.

Celina looked up at the little boy only barely recognizing that he seemed familiar but she couldn't put her finger on it from where. Then she looked at the money he had given back to her. There was only about half of what she had dropped, barely anything to cover what she had planned to buy with it. "Oh, Merlin," she mumbled to herself as she looked at the spare change.
Emerald went over to the girl to look in her hand to see what was so interesting. 'Meow' the cat looked at Celina with her big green eyes and then at the young boy. She crouched and hissed at him. How rude was he to knock over Celina with nothing to say, and not even a helping hand up, Emerald thought to herself as any cat could.
"Emerald!" Celina scolded. "I'm sorry," she said to the boy. "She doesn't really like new people, but she's never hissed at anyone before." Celina got up from being on the ground and dusted herself off. "Thank you for getting my money for me," she started softly, "but, you wouldn't have found anymore did you?" She questioned the boy. She had at least have to get some quills or her mother would be angry that she had lost the money.

"That was all I could get. Sorry, but I don't know you well enough to risk losing my fingers under strangers feet." Puraexcolo said as he looked at the cat. He was very tempted to give it a good kick. He resisted the temptation to kick it like a football and returned his attention to the owner of the cat. "That was all I found, like I said." He paused and pretned to be considering something. Before he cocked his head a bit and smiled at he just a little. "But, I might be able to get you what you need, if you no longer have the money for it." He actually felt a little bad for her, that combined with her nervousness is what caused him to make this offer.

She watched the boy's expression change from not caring to a little smile. He was actually kinda adorable and his offer to help her really melted her fears of going back to her mother with nothing. "Really?" She asked the yonger boy. A small smile crossed her face and she resisted to hug the boy for helping her. "I just needed to get a few quills and some ink for school before everything starts up this year. I can't go back to my mum until I have them."
"Oh," she softly said, "my name is Celina. And this is Emerald." She continued as she pointed to her cat. "Again, I'm sorry she hissed. She's been really crazy lately." Celina said rolling her eyes at her cat.

“Yeah sure.” He said nodding and still holding that ‘innocent’ ‘I-care-about-you’ smile on his face. But when he looked at the cat he couldn’t help it as the fake smile plastered on his face falter a little as the urge to kick the thing returned. He was more of a dog person or as in the case of Hogwarts pets, an Owl person. Though he would never admit it but cats sort of creeped him out with there big round eyes and slit pupils. “Will four quills and two ink pot work for you?” He asked but before she could answer he had said, “Wait here. I’ll go get them for you.” and diapered into the crowd and could be found entering the shop a little ways down the road where one could buy quills and ink. He had casually ‘forgotten’ to tell her his name for to reasons.
Several minutes later, as in 4, the door of the shop flew open and Puraexcolo burst out and was chased by a very disgruntled looking shopkeeper who he had tried to steal from. His luck had to run out sometimes.
He weaved through the crowd until he was back to the girl and practically flung the items at her. There wasn’t time to be nervous around her because the rather large man had left his shop and was pursing him. “Here you go!” He said quickly as he dumped the items into her hands. Three quills and an ink pot. “That’ll be two galleons or whatever you got if its less than that.” He glanced over his shoulder. The mans large size and the unusually packed streets were on his side. He held out his hand expectantly as he turned back to the girl.

The man yelled for anyone to stop the boy. Celina knew this would be trouble, and couldn't help but think about if her parents had found out she'd be in so much trouble that she wouldn't know what to do with herself. But at the same time, she couldn't think about what to do. The boy held out his hand for money that she didn't want to give him because he had obviously stolen from the man rushing at them through the crowded streets. There was no time to be angry, and even less time to pay the man that was running at them.
Quick thinking was on her side however. She shook her head at the boy and quickly went around him meeting the man on the other side of the young kid. "I'm sorry sir," Celina said to the man whom was so red in the face she thought a vain was going to blow. "My brother, he's a little. Well, we have never been able to teach him properly since the accident. It really hurt him sir, and made him more dim than most boys his age. I had told him that I wanted some quills and stuff for school...and he doesn't know that most things aren't free. My parents really don't know how to teach him," Celina explained to the man as sad as she could possibly pull off. Her head sank low as she tried to conjour up some tears. When she looked back at the man, a few tears ran down her face.
"He really doesn't understand sometimes, and all he really knows is that he wants to make his big sister happy. I lost half of my money and told him that I probably wouldn't be able to buy the quills and ink I needed. But here sir, and I'm so sorry," she handed back the school items that the young boy had given her.
The man's face went soft and so did his heart it seemed as Celina's lie had grown into a watermelon of a lie. She had no idea why she was defending this kid, but she really knew that if it hadn't worked, they both were in BIG trouble. The man shook his head, "Keep the stuff, and keep a leash on that kid. He ever comes in my store again and..." the man trailed off and all he could do was point his chubby first finger at the young boy. He turned around without taking any of the supplies and walked away.
"What in bloody hell?!" Celina quietly yelled at the boy.

He watched in shock and amazement, mostly shock as the girl gave back the stuff. It took all his self restraint not to scream at her and demand that she at least give him something for his effort. He watched as she talked her way into letting the man let her keep the stuff without actually asking him for it, just playing off his emotions.
When he was gone she turned and scolded him but just responded with a big grin that looked out of place on him and said to her, with obvious praise in his voice. "You've got to teach me how to do that! If not for you I'd of had to run probably all the way to the far end of Knockturn alley for him to stop chasing me! So simple! Just a few tears and ‘oh he doesn’t know better’!” He paused for a moment and then gave her a smile, that for the second time today wasn’t the fake one he used when he wanted something and then continued. “For saving me of having to catch my breath, you can keep the stuff no charge!”

"Teach you! Absolutely not!" Celina still slightly scolding him holding the items she had basically just stole. Her stomach turned...what had she just done? "I don't even know you!" Celina sighed.
She looked at the boy. His eyes sparkled and excitment was all over his expression. She didn't usually talk to people, let alone bump into them and then get them out of trouble that could have seriously had them both expelled from whatever schools they went to or worse...at Azkaban! "Do you even realize what could have happened if what I just did, didn't work?" she asked him feeling slightly faint. She had to sit down.

Looking for his sister in the crowd was becoming more and more irritating. He should have never agreed to go to Diagon Alley with his mother and Celina. He hated shopping. Mingling with people who didn't matter, it wasn't his piece of cake in the slightest. However, only having a few days to spend with his younger sister, he didn't really have much of a choice if he wanted to see her. "Celina!" he called through the crowd. His deep voice bellowed as passerbys avoided his glare.
Finally, hearing her voice in the distance, he could sense that she was having problems. As he got more near to the younger Jedynak he noticed her, and what seemed to be a small boy, bickering back and forth about one thing or another. Celina in her hands held the supplies, which their mother had sent her away for. Waling up to her he said, "You should have waited for me. I would have gone with you." His told serious and his glare undenyingly annoyed. Putting his hand on Celina's back, he looked at the small boy and scowlled. "Is there a problem young man?"
