Jethro stumbled out of the entrance from the Leaky Cauldron, some drunks yelling after him as he emerged out into Diagon Alley. The lone Gryffindor boy, dressed in muggle clothing, consisting of pale brown All Stars, caramel brown, pin-stripe dress pants, a chocolate brown, caramel brown and dark brown, checkers, long sleeve shirt, rolled up slightly. Also, in addition to the festives, a straw 'pimp' hat, resting on his ruffled brown hair. One could say he looked like a giant caramel bar, others, a guy dressed in brown. Anyway, the boy stood there for a moment, his blue eyes gazing madly around at his surroundings. The snow hiding the cobblestones on the ground, the fair lights glittering the sky like jewels, and the bustle of people, making the air of the night generally cheerier. Sticking his hands into his pockets, one, with his wand (just in case) the other, a small wallet with Magical money concealed within it. Shuffling his feet along the ground, the boy had a smile rising upon his face. Tonight, Jet was alone, but to meet his parents before the curfew time. They allowed him to do this, but only on the condition that he wouldn't go off with any strangers, no matter what the appearance. Finally, after being pulled aside by varies vendors, trying to make him sales of food, drinks, watches, wands and Quidditch things, the Gryffindor managed to shake off the last of them, venturing off into a slightly 'behind-the-scene' area. Now covered in most of the darkness, the Gryffindor slipped through the smaller Alley Way, his eyes facing the ground under his feet. Unfortunately, because Jethro wasn't looking up, he wasn't to notice the person he had just bumped into. Shooting up his eyes in surprise, at first, focusing on the blurry of happy people walking down the street, but in front of him, a person. Their view was slightly fuzzy, due to how close the girl was. "Oh, Sorry..." he mumbled, looking down again. [Closed for Larissa.] [ Out-fit ]

Rissa had been wandering up the busy street for about ten minutes before she decided she wanted to look at what people were selling. As the Leaky Cauldron was only a stop-off before Hogwarts, she had planned to get all of her school things tonight. But she hadn't been told about the Festivities, so she hadn't bought them before. Also wearing her favorite muggle clothing, consisting of a tinted bottle green jacket over a white knitted jumper decorated with a brown pattern at the very top. Her pants Were khaki cargo pants, baggy pockets on either sides. Her hair was curled and hung past her shoulders, it had taken her ages to get to be not frizzy. Her hands swung as she dawdled up the street. The vendors were really over the top in Rissa's opinion, and tried to sell her absolutely everything. She didn't come from a rich family, so she had to be very sparing with her spending. The very few galleons in her pocket weighed the left side down, and made it feel weird when she walked. She had her newly bought wand tucked in her belt, even though she was yet to learn any spells, she felt safer. There were groups of people beside her, which made the young girl feel alone, and unhappy. But she was bound to meet someone, wasn't she? Making her way unnoticed through the many vendors, she snuck into a darker bit. She could still hear the drunks down the street, yelling stupidly. They were probably targeting some helpless eleven year old, but she wasn't to know. Memorized by the thoughts hanging in her mid, she didn't watch where she was actually going, and ended up bumping into a person. She made eye-contact with the boy, after he had looked up, but she immediately felt awkward and looked back down again. "Whoopsies... My bad." She said jokingly, hoping he wasn't hurt at all. Larissa took a step back from the boy, so she could actually see him. Holding her hand out for him to shake, she said nicely, "I'm Larissa. Or Rissa. Whatever really." [ My Clothes ]

Jethro Stevens wasn't usually one to get embarrassed, but bump him into a girl his age and the boy shuts up like a clam. Let's just say he hadn't had much experience around girls, and of that experience, not some very good times either. However, him and Maddy were great friends again. Summer wasn't any where to be seen, and Sally was also counted as his good friend. But this girl, didn't seem familiar, although she did indeed look his age. His bright blue eyes glanced up at her again, this time lingering there. She looked friendly enough. At her words, the boy even bit his lip, to hold back a laugh. "Not at all." his eyes twinkling.
Once the girl stepped back, and help out her hand to shake, Jethro gently took it, and gave it a small shake. "Jethro, or Jet if you like." he said, before taking his hand away from the girls. Putting his fingertip's to the brim of his hat, the boy bowed slightly, tipping his hat to the girl. "J. Stevens at your service." with a playful grin on his face. Straighting up, the boy pushed back his hat slightly, now putting his hands back into his pockets. "So, do you go to Hogwarts?" he questioned, assuming that she was either going to be a student, or was simply a girl he hadn't seen in his year before. That was, unless, she was older than him. That or a relative of someone magical, Jet doubted that any muggles knew about this place.

Larissa too wasn't accustomed to being embarassed, but she wasn't usually so careless. She didn't make friends easily either, mostly because of her past, but she was actually hoping to put that behind her now. Hogwarts wasn't going to be like the orphanage, it was going to be like a home. She had found out the previous day that she had been sorted into Gryffindor, and she desperatley hoped that he was in the house too. She was nervously playing with her pockets when the boy shook her hand and introduced himself. "Well... Coolio." She said, shaking it back.
"Larissa L... Oh Heck... L. Lee?" She stumbled with her words, unable to make sense. She returned his grin and answered his question. "Tomorrow is my first day at Hogwarts. I'll be in my First year too. You go there too?" She hoped. Larissa never had any friends that were guys, so she was already developing into a better person. "Lemme guess. Gryffindor? I hope so anyway..." She said with a smile across her lushing face.

Jet smirked slightly, this small type of smiling taking over the job of his grin. Larissa seemed really nice, and cool as well. At least she wasn't tripping over his shopping bags, and Jet wasn't hugging her to make sure she wouldn't get wet, that was how he had first met Summer. Raising his eye-brows slightly, the boy realised that she was too, mimicking his actions, and let out a small chuckle. "Nice." he mentioned, shaking his head playfully and looking down to the ground. One she spoke again, Jethro looked back up. "Aye. I'm in my first year as well," he said, before adding "You guessed right. How'd you know?" he questioned mysterious, although the kind look on his face suggesting he didn't really suspect her, with his next comment. "I hope I don't have a stalker..." he added, before nudging his head out of the small, dark Alley way.
"Com'on. Let's get outta here before we get lost in darkness." the boy suggested lamely, sliding up along the wall, past Larissa into the open light. Now that his eyes were adjusting to the brighter light, he could see the girl better and probably, vice versa.

After seeing the smirk on Jethro's face, Larissa shyly returned it with her own. She was happy that she had met someone, but she couldn't deny the sinking feeling in the bottom of her stomache. The feeling that this might not be real, maybe he was just hanging out with her because he felt guilty. Or maybe he was a disguised drunk? At least he was a nice drunk, Rissa thought, still trying to shake the feeling of sadness. "Good. I was hoping you weren't a third year or anything..." She said, sighing with relief. "And I'm so happy you're in Gryffindor too. Oh... I'm in Gryffindor, I wasn't really guessing, I was hoping." She said, after hearing the plain but ((hopefully)) joke from the boy, I hope I don't have a stalker....
"Yeah. It's a bit spoooooky here." Larissa was happy that she could see the boy properly. He was quite cute, and looked older than eleven. He had nice coloured skin, and cool hair. She wasn't the type of girl who made crushes, but no girl in the world could deny his cuteness. ((Just to make the point even more clear, Larissa was not falling for him.)) "On y va." She said, usin the French she learnt the previous year. On y va, meaning Let's go.

The boy, pushed his fringe out from his blue eyes, taking another look at Larissa. She was a pretty looking thing, and she wore nice clothes as well, so obviously, Jethro was impressed. However, he didn't know the girl too well, so he wasn't about to amuse anything good or bad about her, all he knew, was that she seemed like a really cool person. The boy didn't know how he should feel about hoping he was in Gryffindor. Flattered, because she was hoping he would be in Gryffindor? Or simply because she wanted to know someone in that house? Heck, it didn't really matter. "A Third Year?" he laughed, before continuing "You too? Thats great!" he exclaimed, now actually having someone to hang out with, in his own house.
"Scared?" he teased, raising an eyebrow, still smirking. On y va... She had said, now where had he heard that from? "Wah?" he muttered, before realizing she was speaking in French. "Ohh... Oui?" he said with a slightly puzzled face. "So where abouts are you from?" the boy questioned. "Wanna go for a walk?" he added, scratching the back of his neck nervously.

Larissa was happy for two reasons. She had made a new friend who was in her year AND house, how awesome was that. And at the same time, she had lost the feeling of insecurity that hung over her, so now she could open up a bit more. "Maybe. You never know. It isdark though," She said, taking a look around her. "Are there many other Gryffindor First Years? Or are we the only ones?" Hoping this didn't bring up any skeletons, she smiled at the boy, after finally analysing his hat. "Awesome hat!" She complimented him.
Larissa actually was scared. She wasn't afraid of the dark, but she hated not knowing what was around her. But was she oging to admit to Jethro that she was afraid? No. Even though he had probably figured it out by now, she was simply going to answer this question in an imparticulate way. "Only if you are." She smirked. Larissa scratched at her forehead, trying to think of something to say. Gald that the boy finally suggested it, she said, "Yeah. Let's go for a walk."

Jethro grinned, shaking his head slightly. "Nah, there's a few other. Loads of cool people in our year as well." he said, before adding "There are also awesome people in our house." Jet mentioned. As she commented about his hat, the boy raised his hand to the top of his hat as an immediate reaction, before smiling sheepishly. "Thanks, my older brother got it for me." he added. As the girl looked like she was caught in thought, the boy pondered on whether or not he should have asked that question. He was feeling a little timid around other people, not really knowing the, but now, this girl seemed nice. Besides, if his parents knew he was hanging out with someone convincing, then they wouldn't mind, after all, he had brought back Summer to their house.
"Thats for me to know, and you to find out." The Gryffindor played along, wanting to seem brave in front of the girl. "Sounds good." he then added, as the boy moved his brown All Stars across the cobble stone Alley Way. "So, tell me a little about yourself?" the boy asked, hopefully being able to get to know a bit more about Larissa. He actually wondered if she was here alone, or with family. Obvious, Jethro was curious, as he was whenever he met a new person.

"I hope they like me. Any cool girls? That I can be friends with?" Larissa noticed the way when she had complimented his hat, he immediately relocated his hands to his head. "He must be nice?" She asked. She didn't have any brother's or sister's for that matter, but she would've killed for one. Just as Rissa had done, she noticed Jet go off into thought. She smiled and laughed. They had quite a bit in common so far, let's just hope they continue to be friends.
"Well then. Can I find out now?" She teased. Larissa loved it when people joked with her, but considering her past, she hadn't played a practical joke in two years. Maybe these two would become the terrible two. "You want to know about me? Ok then. You asked for it." Larissa didn't want to tell the boy everything, but she didn't want to lie to him either. "Ok. When I was three, I was sent to an orphanage. At six, I was adopted, to this really nice family, but they had a horrible nanny. My biological grandparents tracked me down, and I wqas adopted from the family to my grandparetnts. And that's when I found out my parents were dead. I found out I was a witch at eleven, and I came to school late becuase I went on a trip around the world." Larissa laughed and smiled. After all, the boy asked for it.

"I'm sure they'll like you, I mean, I do." the boy said with a playful smile, before his face burning red and he blurted out "I mean as I friend, of course. It's not like I go around getting crushes on heaps of girl in my years and house and... Yeah." the boy added. Rubbing the back of his neck, as he did when nervous or embarrassed, Jet managed to turn his blue eyes back up to Larissa. "There's three really nice girls in Hufflepuff. Maddy, Sally and Summer. I'm good friends with them. There's also other that I don't know that well, but seem nice." he said with a cautious smile. Chucking slightly, Jethro nodded. "Yeah, my brother, Craig, he's nice when he isn't picking on me." the boy said playfully, although truly grateful for his brother.
As Larissa then picked up the boy in his previous 'scared answer' he snickered. "As a Gryffindor, we're known to be brave. Let's stick with that, besides, now I have another Gryff to hang out with, so why should I be scared." the boy admitted playfully. Nodding again, Jet listened contently as they continued to walk through the crowd. Slightly shocked about her first few events, Jethro kept her eyes glued to the girl. "Wow..." was the only thing Jet could manage. "Thats so eventful, much more so than my life." he said, before adding on "You traveled the world? I am so jealous." he teased, but really Jethro thought his fellow Gryffindor deserved a nice trip like that due to her past.

"Don't worry." Larissa said, softly punching Jet in the arm. "But thank you for the thought, anyway." Larissa laughed when he rubbed the back of his neck, something her granddad did ever so often. He was always tricking, and joking with Larissa, she was going to miss him and her grandmother dearly. "I can't wait to meet them. Wait, Mally, Summy and Sadder? Or Maddy, Sally and Summer?" Rissi joked. "Trust me, you'd rather be picked on than have no one there for you." She said, overcome by her past. "I shouldn't have said that... Sorry." She apologised.
"I don't really know much about Gryffindor, but I shall take your word for it." She smiled. Larissa was enjoying the company of Jet, she was happy that she met him. "No one will hurt you with me here. They are ALL too scared of me." She joked, throwing her chest out, like a superhero, or should i say, super heroine. "I don't care if yo life wasn't eventful, I want info." Larissa did deserve her trip around the world, but never would the girl admit it. She's one of the few people in the world that are modest.

Jet let out a small graon as she puched him in the arm, pretend, of course. "Ow. Oh that really hurt." the boy teased, softly punching her in the arm as well. The boy though Larissa was a really cool person, and like everyone he had met, different from the last. His sea blue eyes looking from the view in front of him, in stead shifted to Larissa. "I'll be sure to introduce them to you when Break is over, that 'tis unless you meet them before then." the boy said, before adding at her next comment "It's no problem, I can see how you might feel." the boy said with a kind tone, giving her the most encouraging smile he could.
Nodding again, the boy said "Thats right." Snicking at her next comment and action, Jet bit his lip back slightly. "Oh, is that so now?" the boy teased. Swallowing, Jethro then looked back in front of him, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Lets see... I was born on the twentieth of April, to my parents, Lyn and Paul. My older brother Craig, is sixteen. What else? I have an owl called Pablo. I broke my arm at age ten." Jethro shrugged. "Thats about it. I live in London, if that helps." he said with a small smile.

"Oh HAHA! Very funny." Larissa said, as she was punched back. Larissa too, thought Jethro was a great person, and she was sure that they would be friends. Larissa thought very highly fo Jet, she only hoped that he didn't scrw it up like her last friend. "I'll try my best, and I'll scower the castle, for three girls named... Er..." Lariss joked, but truly forgetting the names of the girls. She felt guilty for telling the boy about her past, but he was bound to find out anyway.
AFter hearing the boy out, she said, "That's not INFO! How did you break your arm? What do your parents do?" She joked, after all, she told him everything. Well almost everything. "Twentieth of April? That's my Granddad's birthday. Although, he's a fair bit younger than you." Larissa had the sort of sense of humor that some didn't find funn at all. She hoped that Jet like it, or they may not get along too well.

Jethro rolled his eyes playfully at the girl. "Well duh!" the boy sarcastically said in reply to her 'Oh haha! Very funny.' comment. His blue eyes returned back down to the ground, as both of his hands still rested in their own pocket. "Maddy, Sally and Summer." he said with a kind smile, his eyes flicking up to Larissa for a moment. "They're all in Hufflepuff, although I know that Maddy and Sally are going away for a proportion of the Holidays. In fact, we might even see them here..." Jethro stated, looking around again as they slowly meandered around.
Snicking, the boy nodded. "Okay okay. Well, I was talking to me friend Ben one day. He was telling me about this girl he liked, and he said she wanted to go out with him. Meanwhile, we were absently walking past this bully teasing this little kid. I managed to blurt ou "Get over yourself." and the big guy though I was talking to him. He began to chase me, so I sprinted up a tree. I fell out and landed on my arm." the boy said, glancing at Rissa from time to time as he spoke. "My mum was, and still is, the Deputy Principal of my old school. And my dad is a fisherman." the boy said. Adding to what she had said, the boy nodded again. "It is? Wow." before smirking and replying "Of course he's younger than me, I mean, it's not like I like two generations before him or anything." the boy added, rolling his eyes. "Do your grandparents work, at all?" the boy questioned.
