Snake thought her friend might have very well gone mad. With a quizzical look on her face she watched the Ravenclaw in silence. By the time Jax had stopped laughing Snake was certain that the reason for her laughing was that she was laughing at Snakes confession. With this idea in mind her eyes flared up a little bit in anger and her cheeks once again turned red in embarrassment. She was still not sure how to feel towards her friends reaction when she came and sat next to her. And then she admitted to the same thing as Snake had, or close enough to it.
Her friend looked frightened by admitting her preference. Snake was still not sure how she felt about the other girl and the fact that there was actually a possibility between them made things even more confusing. She was not certain why she decided to do what she decided to do but she had already done it once and couldn’t see any extreme harm in doing it again.
Swiftly she leaned over and kissed her for the second time that night, one hand rising to touch her face gentle as she did. She waited to see how she would respond.

Jax was still in a bit of awe as a minute had passed between her own admition and Snake's lips pressed to hers once more. Now, as Jax was intertwined with Snake another thought passed in her mind as she tried to control the raging butterflies that jumbled within her stomach. Did Snake like.......her? Jax's face blushed mid kiss as she realized next that Snakes hand was on her face, holding it gently in place. Jax though, was unusually comfortable. Placing the hand that wasn't holding herself up on top of Snakes, Jax wasn't sure if she was even kissing correctly, but that was what practice was for....right?
Pulling a way slightly to breath a bit, she tried her best not to breath to heavily. "Snake....I...." Jax looked away smiling, and blushing. Did Snake like her? Better yet, did Jax like her friend that way? And was this the understanding that Jax had wished for? Well, at least, with whatever happened, now she wouldn't be alone.

Snake smiled, happy at the fact that she had kissed back instead of pulling away. To prevent Jax from launching them into an awkward conversation she said, “It’s a bit cold out here. I should get back to my motel room or somewhere warm.” She wrapped her arms around her in an attempt to keep her body-heat from escaping so quickly because she was cold. She wanted to leave, not only to get warm, but to be alone so she could think over the events of the night and her feelings but she did not want to just suddenly get up and leave. She smiled a little to herself imagining the confusion she might cause if she just suddenly stood up and said ‘Well, I’ll see you around’.
She stood up and offered her hand to help Jax up. With or without her friend she would be leaving the little alley soon, if only to get warmed up over a butter beer in one of the shops.

It was true. The time the two of them had spent together had taken up much of the time that Jax had to wander away from her father. Though, she still had some time, so when Snake quickly started claiming to be cold and her want to go back to her motel room she was in it slightly broke the young girl's heart. She was confused about everything, even more now than before. What was the kiss? Did it mean anything? And now was it being tossed aside it seemed to Jax and all she could do was give a lopsided smile that was even fadding a bit from sight.
As Snake stood up, it didn't much help Jax's confusion, but she still took the older girl's hand. As she was helped up, Jax didn't know what to say or do. "Oh," she finally was able to spit out. It was then she remembered her choker and the fact that she had never gotten anything for Snake for Christmas. Playing with the pendant, Jax looked up into Snake's face and said softly, "But I haven't found anything to give you for a present yet...." she trailed off, hoping for just a bit longer with her friend.

She noticed her confusision and wondered what it was about until she said that she had not gotten Snake anything. Thinking that the reason behind her confusion was because she thought she had to get her something in return she started to laugh. “You don’t have to give me anything.” She stopped laughing and smiled. You’ve certainly given me enough to think about! she thought. She looked around absently rubbing her arms for warmth. “Now, weather you are coming or not I’m going to go find myself a nice warm store that is still open that sells butterbeer!”
She turned around and walked out into the crowd, glancing over her shoulder to see if her friend would follow her. At the edge of the crowd she stood on tip-toes and looked around for a shop the looked warm and like it sold those delicious drinks.

Jax bit her lip a bit at the offer and rocked back and forth on her feet. "Well, if you insist." Jax was off quick following Snake into the crowd. Jax was a fan of butterbeer and if she bought Snake her drink, at least then she could say she got her something for the holidays, especially with how cold she really must have been. Not realizing Snake had stopped, Jax ran right into the back of her with an 'oomph!'
"Oh! Sorry," Jax said as she giggled a bit. "I wasn't watching where I was going...."

(Wow, so sorry for not being on in like ever. Life has been totally crazy…)
She stumbled forward and narrowly missed several people before coming to a stop. She turned around and hit her playfully on the arm. “Jeez, watch where you’re going!” She laughed before turning around again. She scanned the alley for a moment more before grabbing Jax’s hand and leading her through the crowd into a small but packed little place rather resembling a coffee shop.
(yeah, lame post…)

(S'all good. Don't mind if I God a bit?)
As Snake grabbed Jax's hand, she smiled and followed her into the cafe. As they entered Jax slowly pulled herself away from Snake's grasp, and smiled, shoving her hands in her pockets. Giggling, Jax lead the way to an empty two person table, pulled the chair out, and mockingly bowed gesturing toward Snake to sit in the chair. "After you, m'lady," she giggled and stood back up. "I'll get the drinks."
It was the least Jax thought she could do, and frankly, she was happy to do it. So, before Snake could even get out her money, or say anything in retort, Jax was up at the counter ordering two warm hot chocolates. It was warm, and Jax had totally forgotten if Snake had said that she wanted anything else, so she didn't bother with asking. Who didn't like hot chocolate? Coming back to the table, she set the drinks down, and took the seat across from the one she had gestured for Snake to sit in. "Do you like hot chocolate?" Jax asked nervously, taking a small sip from her own.

(not at all)
She followed Jax over to the table and giggles and blushed a tad as she sat down in the chair that she pulled out for her. Before she could say anothing word Jax had gone to buy the drinks. She knew she had more money than Jax but didn't dwell long on the fact that she had bought. It was to fun a night to worry over such things.
She grinned and wrapped her hands around the warm mug of hot chocolate when Jax brought it back to her. She had been expecting a butter beer but like hot coco equally as much so it was a nice surprise. “Love it,” She smiled and took a sip then grinned over the top of her cup.
