Shay scoffed. Again, she found herself thinking, He doesn't know even half of it. Though she experienced truly dangerous events rarely, they were more than some would feel in a lifetime. By now, her definition of danger was a bit more refined. "Do you honestly think this face of innocence hasn't seen much?" She raised an eyebrow and laughed again. However, she focused a little on their hands as her ring finger popped up from under his and tenderly caressed his knuckle.

"Innocence? I rarely think any of us are really that innocent anymore." The wars from the past, and the newer rumors of others raising to "purify" their kind. No, innocence wasn't the question, but how much could be afforded to lose. And getting emotionally attached to anyone or anything, was a mistake. Anyone who was anything knew that. Alfonz already had the problem of protecting one...his mind asked him if he dared get close to another? Even just for fun...could he afford to lose?
He had almost talked himself into leaving her there at the booth, until she started to caress his knuckle. He bit his lip slightly as if to try and tell his mind to knock it off, but his rational side told himself to calm down. It was nothing...just fun. And then without thinking, his started to speak. "Though, it's how one comes out of the danger that really determines who they are truly meant to be." His fingers began to lace themselves slightly within her own. "And who your in the danger with...that's always something to experiment with," his grin mischievous as he looked into her eyes with his own.

Bonnie y Clyde. Shay didn't want to think it, but it naturally came into her mind. Long before finding out about her magical heritage, she would indulge in an old movie or two (obviously dubbed in Spanish) with her mother. And one of those instances was the story of a man and a woman living the life of danger... danger.... and so it ran in her mind how much danger could he give her. Never in her life had she realized it... but maybe she did like the danger and darkness that would sometimes be encountered in her lifetime. Even if that meant the source of it came in from the men.
As her twirling mind mused, she licked her lips as well as narrow her eyes as she smiled. "What do I have to lose from an experiment?"

"Exactly."
His response quick, but slowly said. It was whispered, but still growled from the back of his throat. And his mind told him that if he was really going to continue with this, that he might as well get another drink so he could at least blame it on the alcohol. The little man in the back of his mind rolled his eyes, but Alfonz refused to listen.
"Now, we need to determine what kind of danger should be....." he thought for a second, pausing ever so slightly "...conducted." His smile grew as he kept his gaze locked with hers, hands still interlaced. He was indeed ready for another drink.

Her eyes happened to widen at his comment. "Tonight?" She asked, though with an eroding judgement, it was a passive shock, one that could be interpreted that she wasn't about to resist just because it was perhaps past ten on a Friday night.
With the intial reaction of her old friend the worrywart Shay come and gone, she opted to raise her eyebrow and ask another question, maybe something more to his liking. "What kind of danger did you have in mind?"

"I was brought up where the woman gets to choose the excitement of the evening, however, it does not necessarily have to be tonight...I was just saying," he slightly tightened his hand around hers. He hadn't meant that they really try anything that night, but he did have a sense about him that was a different sensation. Maybe it was the three firewhiskey's talking or just the lack of companionship that he had. The most dangerous move he could make, almost asked him to take the chance but he refrained. Anything done, could not be done still sitting where they were.
"While you deciding, we have a couple of options. Another drink?" He paused momentarily. "Or we could take a walk?"

She didn't want to be the person that she feared. No-- she wasn't talking about being one known to danger. She feared becoming intoxicated beyond her control and her will. That sort of fear seeped through the two firewhiskies she had no matter what. Though something told her that she would either embrace or regret this 'experiment' she wanted to make once she was sober.
"No more drinks," she laughed sincerely. "Anymore an' you'll have to carry me home." And that seemed possible even with just two of those drinks. She just couldn't hold it like her Uncle Eugenio, the star alcoholic in her family on her muggle father's side. Even if he could experience this alcohol, he'd be taking in at least five or six before feeling even tipsy.
"But I'm going to have to say that I have no idea what kind of danger I want to anticipate. I've gone through pranks, an' I've gone through an ordeal where a wand has been pointed at me and my life. Nothing quite between." She shook her head, as if refusing to actually think about these things, not when she could barely remember the school schedule she followed in California. It was perfectly memorized even six months after graduation, until this night.

"That's understandable," Alfonz nodded in agreement. He was more looking forward to the walk home any ways. Did he dare? Yes, and he wanted to try something that was more dangerous for him than her. But he had to wait. Not yet. "May I walk you home then?" The night was still young, but the walk would probably do them good and sober them up a bit. "I'm sure on the way we could figure something...out," his smile still as mischevious signaling that he indeed was thinking something. He would figure out the consequences when he go to them. Right now, it was just a matter of thinking it all through. Just one last time.

With that promise of a walk home, she was able to give a bit of a stretch. It did her some good as it revitalized her lazy bones, but it still brought a bit confusion before she could reply. "I think some walking an' talking is a great plan." She brushed back her brown hair back, and sighed. This state of feeling had her wondering what she was doing. But more importantly... what was coming up next.
Without much thinking of if he was ready or not, she stood up almost a little quickly. The rush of blood to everything as well as the tilting world brought her back to supporting herself on the table. She could only hope now that walking straight was possible.

Alfonz stood next to Shay as they went to leave. He put his hand out in front of himself and gestured to her. "Ladies first," he said to her. Reaching the door, he made sure to hold it open for her when she past. The cool night air flowed into the bar and it cleared his senses. He always had loved the night, and the breeze was just a bonus.
Looking outside he noticed that there was a full moon, or close to it, lighting their path. He was grateful for the shimmering of light because it seemed almost mysterious, yet not. Like the night was hiding something. Now what was there that they could talk about? The silence was comforting and he wondered if he had to start the conversation, manner wise. As he took in the surroundings he breathed in and exhaled while whispering, "Beautiful night."

While he was seeing the night as beautiful, she was seeing the night as wobbly-- which was was considerably better than seeing it in twos, but it was still awkward. Still, for her sake, she held onto him, even bring her head to his shoulder. Unfortunately, this was more of a let's-not-fall tactic and less romantic. But she meant well.
"It's, um, nightly," she remarked, unsure of how smooth her words sounded. Now that she had a task of moving while talking, she was getting worried about what she said.

He wrapped his arm around her slightly when she leaned against him. It was probably a good thing she had not had another, for she could hardly hold what she had ingested. Alfonz caught himself smiling, as if he actually cared for the girl his arm was now around. "Are you going to be alright, Miss Loire?" He figured she would be, but the sooner they got back to her apartment the better. He'd need to drop her off and make sure everything was alright before he left. The manners he had would bother him if he did not. "Come now, if we walk maybe you'll feel more at ease. However, if you are to be sick or something, tell me and we'll stop."
His mother being a healer, he knew a bit of magic that would cure her ales, but only if she said that she was going to be sick. With the back of his other hand, he gently rubbed the arm that she had in front of her. It wasn't everyday that he felt concern from someone that was not his sister...he could honestly say, that was probably his most dangerous move in a long time. Snap out of it! he scolded himself. "Come on, let's walk," he said as he guided her down the sidewalk.

"Oh... no, I've got a strong constitution," she stated with as much conviction as possible. While she had to tendency to succumb to the vanishing sickness, she didn't easily throw up or faint at several things. So she had some faith in herself. However, she did perceive the worst when she was sure the feeling in her esophagus wasn't quite heartburn.
When they began to walk, she was sure she wouldn't last the first few steps. However, his support and even the strokes on her arm seemed to help. With that, she made sure to follow his lead as it was better than going at it on her own and most likely ending up against the wall to keep the floor from moving. "Yo-You know where I live, right?" she asked, despite the past talk of locations and such.

Alfonz had just recently moved into the area, and only really knew where he lived. His concern had clouded his mind and he hadn't even realized until she asked her question, where she lived. "A reminder would help," he stated calmly, but softly. At the moment, his normal tone of voice would probably not render well, nor would his usual attitude about himself. This was the first time that he could say that he actually had to walk someone home, supporting them the whole way. If it were Celina, he would have already picked her up and carried her back to his apartment...in this case, however, he had no experience and no luck.

Shay chuckled under her breath. Although she knew where she lived perfectly, it just took some time to push out any thoughts before getting to the one that needed addressing. "Let me think... London, um-- Soho! It's called Wendelring, you know." She nodded again, and then oddly touched her lips. "Is my mouth supposed to feel warm?" It was an out-of-the-blue question, but she wanted to know how normal her state of being really was.
