Amazing Application! With Much Pleasure, Welcome to Hogwarts!
Basic Info:
Name: Emeric Evan Troy III
Year: Fifth
House: Slytherin
Blood: Pure
Country of Citizenship: UK
[ Physical Character Description: ]
Emeric has very strong features, even at a young age his facial characteristics are strong and defined. He is the spitting image of his father, Emeric Evan Troy Jr., from his piercing eyes to the way he stands.
Emeric stands at five foot ten inches tall, average for males in his family around his age. He can usually be found standing very straight and tall, appreciating the fact that he can tower over those shorter than him. His hair is nothing short of average- brown and looking a little wild and disheveled at times. He is otherwise generally kept in an orderly and fashionable state from his clothing to the way he acts. He hardly ever goes anywhere dressed in muggle clothing such as hoodies or sweatpants. His attire generally consists of pressed dress pants, nice button up shirts, and ties of many different variety and colors. On some occasions he can be seen wearing things such as jeans.
His body is average for his age, but kept lean and slightly muscular by physical things such as running and playing Quidditch. He would never let anyone know, but he is self conscious about his looks, thinking of himself as nothing but average. He has been told otherwise by members of the opposite sex, but at times still finds it difficult.
Due to his overall appearance with things such as clothing, facial expressions, and his actions, Emeric has always been considered older than his actual age by many of his friends and people he is introduced to by his father’s circle of friends. He sometimes uses this to his advantage.
[ Personality Character Description: ]
Deceitful, charming, intelligent and dashing are all words that can be used to describe Emeric Evan Troy the Third.
He is proud of his full-blood lineage and also proud of his family. His father and mother are both anti-muggle, so it only makes sense that their sons, Jonathan Michael and Emeric Evan are the same way most of the time. Emeric is the eldest son, four years older than his younger brother Jonathan. He takes his older sibling responsibility with a grain of salt, always feeling like he shouldn’t have to bring his little brother along with him. His brother always seemed to be in the way, so Emeric found ways of getting around tagging the little one along.
Emeric is an intelligent boy, he does very well in school, especially in the classes of potions and transfiguration, which have always fascinated him. He is cocky and stuck up and he knows it. It’s amazing that Emeric has any friends at all, but he always manages to find at least one or two people who are interested in what he has to offer. He can, on the rare occasion, actually be kind and caring to someone if he truly cares about them. Or just what he can get out of them.
Wealth matters very much in Emeric’s world. Growing up, Emeric never exactly knew what it was that his father did. He grew up with adults who had the ‘ don’t ask, don’t tell ‘ outlook on life, so it was natural that the same applied to him. He didn’t ask too many questions, so therefore he didn’t always know what was going on. However, being the smart lad that he was, he could generally figure things out. He learned that his father worked for the Ministry in some way. He never questioned it, though, learning to accept things for how they were.
Emeric learned to distrust people easily, not letting them get a good look at him. He was not only afraid of what they would see, but also what they would say. So he kept people at a distance and learned to trust and depend on only himself.
[ History: ]
Emeric Evan Troy III was born on January third to Eliza Troy and Emeric Evan Troy Junior, both respectable pure-bloods. He was born into a world compiled of three things; money, looks, and foolery. From a young age he knew that his family was more well off than others. Emeric could tell from the way they all dressed, to their large estate in the country of Ireland. He was born into wealth and he never questioned it. He was accustomed to getting anything he wanted from a small age which made him to be quite an ornery and selfish child. He was never big on sharing and even got into trouble for biting his nanny for trying to take away his toys when he was small. He disliked having to clean up after himself and was accustomed to throwing tantrums until he got his way.
Being raised into a pure-blood family, he always knew he was a wizard. From the time he was small, he couldn’t wait to go away to school and learn of all the things he could. He was always curious, wandering around their vast yard, searching for new things to see and to explore. Emeric grew up in a generally safe environment, doing all of the things a young pure blood wizard was supposed to do. He got into trouble, made mischief, and had fun while doing it. He never got into trouble by his father or mother too much. They were never around, his mother always running off to her ladies meetings and luncheons. She seemed to think of herself not so much as a mother, but more as a commander. Emeric was primarily raised by various nannies and relatives.
He was devastated when he was four years old and his father informed him that he would have a little brother, Jonathan. For most of his life, Emeric dismissed his brother as too young to understand anything. He tried his best to teach his brother despite the fact that he believed he was incapable of learning.
As he grew into adolescence Emeric could hardly wait to go to wizarding school. He began to dream of life away at school, preferably Durmstrange. He didn’t think too highly of the other Wizarding schools he knew of, Beauxbatons and Hogwart’s. It was his hope that, despite the fact that he was born and raised in Ireland, he would attend the great wizarding school of Durmstrange.
Unfortunately, when he was eleven and time came round for schooling, Emeric didn't have the option to attend Durmstrange as he had long since dreamed of. It pained him to not be able to go to the school that his father and grandfather before him had attended, but it wasn’t much of his choice. His father had decided for him that Emeric would go to Hogwart’s instead, it was closer to home and had an esteemed curriculum. This brought questions to young Emeric, such as what was wrong with Durmstrange’s curriculum, and why did he have to be closer to home? He hesitated to ask, however, and missed his chance.
Upon arriving at Hogwart’s, he decided that it wasn’t really as bad as he thought. The only problem he could see was the lacking of Defense against the Dark Arts classes. Or maybe just the lacking of Dark Arts classes at all? It was all very questionable. He also didn’t much like the fact that there were so many half bloods and muggle borns at the place. It unnerved him at times, and he never really got used to it or got over his prejudice.
[ Pros and Cons : ]
Emeric is a very loyal person, to his country, and his family. He was taught from a young age that loyalty was a very good characteristic to have and he took it to heart, applying it to himself as best as he could. He was told by many people that being loyal to your family was the single most important thing a man could have. Wanting to be the best man he could, he knew it was true. He looked to his father, and to the man he looked up to most- his grandfather and saw that all of this was very true. What was a man if not loyal to those he owed loyalty to? Nothing, came the answer.
Emeric is also very intelligent. He has always beem in the top percentile of his class, doing well in all of his classes. The two classes he did the best in were always potions and transfiguration. He wasn’t sure why, but these two subjects always came so easily to him. Another thing that Emeric seemed to excel at easily was athletics. He had a good head for team sports, thinking out plays and formations ahead of time. This also enabled him to prevent the other team from scoring. Emeric also likes some of the more mundane sports as well from football to swimming. He is a very athletic person and doesn’t mind getting into a game, throwing everything on the line for a win. He is essentially a team player when he had to be but never lets go of an opportunity to help himself out.
One flaw in Emeric’s character is that he is very proud. To him, it seems to be a good thing, for everyone should have a small bit of pride for something, be it their country, home-land, or family. For him, it is all three and much more. He is proud of his family’s wealth, how he doesn’t have to work, beg, or even ask much of the time for something he wants. His pride gets him into spots of trouble on the occasion, but he generally pays it no heed. He can also be a very shallow person at times, paying attention only to a person’s wealth, blood status, or looks. While he tries on the occasion to fix this and not be so quick to judge someone on such things, it can be hard. He was brought up with all of these things in mind, so it is rare for him to forget such principles.
One of the major flaws that Emeric possesses is selfishness. He is a very selfish person, never liking or having to have shared with someone. Even growing up he hardly ever had to share with his brother James. There was two of everything around the house, making things a little more peaceful and quiet.
