[Character Gender:] Female
[Country of Citizenship:] Scotland, U.K.
[Age:] 13
[Birthday:] March 26

[ Physical Character Description: ] Claire is a lovely girl when you look at her. With short, jet black hair, deep blue eyes and pale skin. Standing at 4'9", Claire doesn't really stand out amoung the young students at Hogwarts. Besides height, she normally likes to wear her hair down and sometimes just put a few clips or such in it, but rarely likes to make it stand out too much. Mainly because Claire is a bit lazy when it comes to fixing her hair and such.
Clothes...what else is there to say about them? Whenever there is any kind of dance you will find that Claire loves to dress up. Since she mainly wears jeans and shirts, people tend to find the change weird but she looks beautiful with or without the change.
[Personality Character Description:] Personality? Let's see now...well, Claire loves to be sarcastic. It has just been something that never grew out of her system so much. But sometimes she doesn't know how far is too far when it comes to sarcasm.
Claire can be a nice girl, it's just that she seems to think that it's more fun to mess with people's brains than to help them out a little, though that does not mean she is devoid of kindness. And if you say something that is truly offending to her (which is a big if) then you might just find her lurking in the shadows waiting for her victim's guard to go down and wham! Hit with a spell. But does anyone suspect her? Not really, mainly because of her innocent look but the teachers at Hogwarts don't really fall for it.
Music is something else that she loves alot and tends to comfort her when Claire isn't feeling right. Singing and playing guitar are the things she does, but secretly she would like to learn the Bass as well. Though, she is still trying to master guitar first. Any kind of Rock music suits her, but she knows more of the muggle kind even though she was raised by wizards.
[ History: ] Claire was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on March 26 to a middle-class family. Her father works for the Department of Mysteries, so not even his family knows what the unspeakable does and is a pureblood. Her mother is a Healer in St. Mungo's hospital and a pureblood as well. Claire herself has set her sights on becoming a healer herself but you never know if she will change her mind in the long run.
Starting with her childhood, Claire had a pretty normal one, when she still had long hair. At an early age, she showed her love of flying when her father bought her a toy broom and taught her to fly it. This of course were the days before he began working for the dept. of mysteries when he had time for his family. Even day the two of them would go outside and play Quidditch especially with her older brother who is two years older than herself.
Her mother had a hobby of planting a beautiful garden whenever she had the time too. Since her son and husband never helped with it, so Claire would do it and found it relaxing when having a bad day. But, like her father, it was not going to last for a long time until she got caught up with the hospital.
As Claire got older, and her father finally got the job that would kept the house hold standing, the family began seeing less of their father with was heartbreaking especially toward Claire and her brother. Over time, the games with him had stopped and the children were left only with each other since their mother was normally busy at the hospital. Their father’s broom laid untouched and their mother’s garden began to wilt. Because of the lack of attention, Claire and Paul(brother) started to act out out of frustration that no one seemed to be paying attention to them anymore. Especially since her parents hired Mrs. Favre to baby-sit them during the days they were at work.
Broken windows, tables and curtains were only a few things that they destroyed while they messed around. Mrs. Favre had a hard time keeping the children under control. Realizing what was going on, their mother sent them to their grandparents so they would get some attention while they were away. As soon as that happened, Claire and Paul felt loved again now that they had people to talk to and play with them.
But this happiness was not going to last forever. Paul's eleventh birthday soon arrived and that meant he was going to be sent off to Hogwarts soon. Though Paul promised to come visit his little sister as often as he could, his father would not allow it. There simply just wasn't time to take care of such children and that he was better off staying at the school. Feeling betrayed, Paul never came back to visit his parents since he felt so abandoned by his own parents. Instead, he stayed with the grandparents and when Claire was able to go to school, she did the same. Feeling the same thing about her parents, she never wrote to them or they never wrote to her. They were simply to busy to do anything that had to do with their children.
Claire was so distraught over what her parents thought of her that and cut her own hair in frustration and has been short since.
But, Claire was raised right. She knows the difference between right and wrong and will never let anything bad happen to the ones she cares about. She made a vow that she would not abandon her friends and others the way her parents abandoned her.
[Special talents/knacks : ] Claire loves flying. Sometimes she doesn't even bother with her hair when she knows that she is just going to mess it up by flying. When it comes to class work, Transfiguration, Charms and Potions tend to be her best subjects. Even thought casting a jinx or two is strength for her. Guitar is another thing that Claire grew to like as she stayed with her grandparents and turned out to be pretty good at it.
Weaknesses would include the inability to control herself when something bad happens to her or someone does something to her. Tends to get a bit emotional at times. Not to mention the fact she is pretty lazy, especially when it comes to school work
[Role Playing Example:] Claire really didn't want to wake up that morning, but what choice did she have? Besides the sun staring right up at her face. I knew I shouldn't have picked the bed closest to the freaken window. she thought grumpily. Slowly she managed to get out of bed, then stumbling on her own shoes, and got dressed in her everyday school robe so she could fill her rumbling stomach with some food. At least it would comfort her from the thought that she had History of Magic first that morning.
"Squirt! You going to get down here or am I going to have to get you!" shouted her brother from the base of the girl dorms.
"You could try, but I don't think the staircase will like that too much if you get my drift." Claire shouted back down the stairs. She loved her brother, but sometimes he could be a little on the dumb side. Quickly grabbing her bag, Claire ran down the stairs and past her brother. Like he said, she had to get going.
