A sleepless night was what it was. People were spread out everywhere, and using what they could as blankets and pillows. Alexander had given away his robes and whatever else was appropriate to spare for one of the younger huffles and was now with his own head down on the Hufflepuff table. His eyes would slowly close only to reopen in shock as his nightmares filled his mind of faceless men and hexes at his friends. It was almost too much for the poor Huffle boy. He was unsure how many times he could see his greatest fears played out right in front of his eyes.
Filtering through his hand through his hair, he breathed deeply to calm himself and itched his skin. He hadn't been able to take a shower that night and already his skin was making sure he knew it. He could already feel the hives starting on the back of his neck, eventhough the doctors had told him more than once that he didn't get them. Alexander was sketchy about the doctors though. Hadn't they been the one's who had prescribed all the medicines and stuff to clear up his skin in the first place? He would have scoffed at his memory, but instead just turned around and swung his legs over the bench to sit facing away from the table. Leaning over a bit, he took another deep breath and looked up at his surroundings.

Sleep seemed miles away and though the girl hadn't slept much the night previously she still didn't allow her eyes to close. She has failed, early in the night, and allowed her eyelids to drift slowly downwards, welcoming her to the land of sugar plumbs and water fairys. However neither came. Instead of sugar plums there were cars and instead of water fairys dark faceless figures, laughing, taunting. The ambulance kept coming into view and now Krissy was trying harder then ever to see the faces of the captors. Yet none came. Instead she just saw her best friend lying there injured and herself not doing a thing to help. Instead badgering her, about? About what? What had she asked Ari? What had been so important for them to capture her to ask her? The whole situation was haywire. She had woke from that slumber in a cold sweat, her eyes darting around only to find her dreams had been turned into reality.
Krissy hadn't risked closing her eyes since that moment. Fear gripping at her insides yet not penetrating her outside shell. She knew she had to stay strong because if she didn't, who would? The younger Hufflepuffs needed someone to look up to, someone to try and keep the calm, let them know it would all be okay. But would it? Short of the deva retreating and leaving the school unscathed Krissy couldn't see a way out without someone getting hurt. A battle was sure to result in death, yet would the entrapment of it all do the same? Some of those deva member seemed only to not attack the students on Shaw's orders. What if they rebelled?
All these thoughts tore at Krissy's mind, mingled with those of her dreams and troubled imaginings. Now instead she walked, pacing slowly around the hall, her every movement being watched by the stationed deva members. She was checking on the students who were scattered around sleeping. It didn't matter now which house they belonged to, or who they were. They were students, all in the same situation as her and the Huffle's. She would check on them reguardless.
Her eyes had been scanning over a few young kids when a sudden movement to her right made her jump. Starteled she almost drew her wand. However knowing how bad a move like that would have been instead her arms had shot up instinctively to block any muggle type attacks that may have came at her. She had trained a muggle martial arts slightly and her instinct led her into its positioning. However it took a moment to realise there was no thread. Her arms lowered slowly as her eyes darted around the hall, checking the sentry's positioning hadn't change and making sure there was no trouble.
Her eyes focussed on where the movement had come from, and though the room was dark she recognised the figure of the one who had moved. It was Alexander. He seemed, for the moment, unaware of her presence. Or perhaps just ignoring her. Both were just was likely. Krissy moved towards him quietly "You should get some sleep you know.." she said softly. Though not to keen to speak to him, due to the nights previous events and her ever lurking feeling about him and the gryffindor blonde, some company right now was not unwanted.

A cold sweat crept down his forehead, and with his hand Alexander wiped away what threaten to breach his eye sockets. It was then he heard a sweet, and familiar voice. Though at this moment, he almost wondered where in all of Huffle and Hogwarts they stood.
"Sleep? I've treid," Alexander looked toward her and gave a little but brief smile. He shrugged not knowing what else to do. Every time he closed his eyes, horrific sights and fears were brought to his attention. His mind was much to active to sleep, and he could imagine anyone getting a good night's sleep that night. "But what about you? Shouldn't you as well?" he asked her, a bit of concern seeping through his tone.
Alexander looked around, avoiding her eye contact. He still wasn't pleased with her, and the fact they really hadn't talked aobut anything that happened irked him a bit as well. He hated caring, hated to admit that he cared. But Alexander did care, and about Krissy of all people. As out of his league as he thought and had always assumed she was, he hated that now he had some kind of feelings towards the girl. Especially as rash as she had acted that night. What if she had died? Did she care? And above all, why did he care so much....?

What time was it, she didn't know. All sense of time had left when Robert Shaw had first entered the room. She had tried to pick at the food Seanna had give her and yet regardless of how hungry she actually was, Lianna found that she simply couldn't eat. Every time she tried to take a bite, nausea from her nerves took over and reminded her of just why she was trying to eat at what she knew at least knew was a very late hour. The whole situation was looking extremely bleak for the morning.
After alot of struggling she'd finally managed to get herself to be able to lay down, but with nothing to use toward a pillow (or mattress for that matter) it was a futile attempt at obtaining sleep. She was hungry, tired, scared, slightly irritable and she still wasn't sure where Mark was but she had --with much effort and having shed the bulky robes -- managed to worm her way alittle bit closer to the other end of the table to look. Currently she was somewhere in the middle (of the underside of the table) and just both physically and emotionally exhausted, there was just no other way to describe it.
Silent tears left marked paths down her cheeks as she tried for the thousandth consecutive time to actually sleep. It was only to become shattered once more though by the horrific picture of that person (she wasn't sure whether it was male or female) who had come by the table for wands. They had no face, but each had a voice, no reason, yet she was the reason... None of it made sense and she wanted so badly for it to all just be a nightmare of her creation; that she would wake up in just another second. But she wouldn't...because reality in this instance hurt worse than the demons of her mind.
"Want my dad...home..." The girl murmured eyes her heavy eyes threatened to close to the land of nightmares once again. She knew she wouldn't be sleeping, but her body seemed bent on trying to make her. She didn't want the nightmares, nor the pain that came from them, if she didn't sleep they wouldn't come. It was that simple, even if it was an unknowing form of self-destruction...
And simple things at the moment was all that truly made sense to her.
(Find her as you will, since I forget which end of the table you guys were at...)

"I don't need sleep.." Krissy reasoned with Alexander, skipping over the part about her trying and failing. It wouldn't be good to scare anyone with talks of what her dreams contained, or to let anyone know that if it hadn't been for her this all might not have happened. Had the information she had coaxed out of Ari led them to this action? And what would everyone do if they knew she had helped the deva? The whole concept was scary on its own. All she wanted to do was help the others, but if they knew all that they might think otherwise.
Krissy's view of the small wormgirl was blocked by Alexander and the bench's and as she was standing up away from the table a bit she didn't hear her voice. Had she she probably would have worried and scooped the girl up into a hug or something. But she didn't so she continued to look at Alexander. He seemed to be trying to look anywhere but at her. Krissy frowned slightly. It seemed he was mad at her. She hadn't meant to make him mad, but he could have at least told her he had a girlfriend. Though Krissy didn't even know if that was what was wrong. Krissy hadn't worked out why seeing him and the blond together gave her an irksome feeling but it did.
"You need sleep though." She said, glancing away from them "Try and get some will you..." she traield off, looking up the table. She took a half step away from the boy in that direction. She didn't really want him to be mad at her but she didn't know how to make him not be mad. Not to mention, if he was mad she didn't really want to stay around him because he probably didn't want her around.

Sounds from behind. Words of wants and hopes from all huffles and now another from a younger one of her father and home. Thinking she was speaking in her sleep, he nudged her slightly with his foot and let it linger. No, he didn't know the girl per say, but any sort of comfort he could give with the acknowledgment of someone just being there would hopefully be enough. Krissy, however, didn't look as if she had even noticed the young girl's whispers and continued to speak about how she didn't need sleep and how he did. Somehow, to Alexander that made little to no sense to him.
"I won't sleep and find myself tortured with dreams I don't intend on dreaming..." Alexander whispered at Krissy and shook his head. Lifting his gaze towards her, he didn't know how to think or what to feel. Looking back toward where the young huffle was he reached down and touched her leg slightly..."You ok?" he whispered to her.
Turning back to Krissy slightly, he patted the seat next to him. "Are you going to patrol more?" he asked her, not really wanting to ignore his friend completely though, his attentions were divided among the two huffles.

It wasn't really an invitation, or request for her to leave. Alexander questioned her movements yet also patted next to him. Krissy glanced up the hall once, looking for any movements, her eyes then darted to the sentry's that were placed all around. They still stood in their same positions. Krissy glanced back to Alexander and with a slight reluctance sat next to him. She didn't know if she wanted to get involved in this conversation. Did she want to talk to someone who was mad at her?
Krissy hadn't noticed him prodding th Hufflepuff under the table, or him whisper to her as she had been looking up the table. Krissy was a little troubeled that he was having bad dreams. She knew just how bad dreams could get and always hoped no-one else would have to deal with them. For some reason, this especially applied to Alexander. "You don't have to worry.." Krissy began, her eyes looking at the ground in front of her rather then at Alex "I wont let anything happen to you in your sleep... To any of you..." Krissy's intentions, although humanly impossible, was to stay awake forever to look after everyone else. It wasn't like sleeping got her anywhere anyway.
Krissy leaned foreward resting her elbows on her knee's and her head in her hands. It was obvious just from the way she sat and stood that she was tired, but it was also slightly obvious at the moment that she was slightly stressed. "I'll look after you" she said softly. She didn't want them to worry.

As Krissy hesitated to sit down, Alexander almost wondered if it was because she knew he was a bit upset with her still, or if she herself was still upset with him. It wouldn't matter either way. Alexander knew that not talking would only further their distance in a time where friends should be sticking together. His parents had fights all the time, but in the end they worked it out. They had to in order to keep their marriage alive and well. Alexander figured the same went for friendships. They needed to calmly talk, even if it wasn't about what went down, at least they could talk.
Krissy, however, as she sat seemed distracted. Alexander could see that sleep threatened to take over her being and he felt for her in ways he didn't know how to control. So, he did as any guy in his situation usually does, and ignored them. As she spoke, Alexander felt safe, but at the same time he was worried that she was taking it all on herself. Putting his hand gently on her leg, (because taking her hand was out of the question since it was probably the only thing holding the tired girl's head up), he squeezed and looked directly at her. "You don't have to be the only one doing the protecting. I'll watch your back if you watch mine," he matched her tone and softness. He wasn't about to let Krissy do anything by herself and it looked like she needed just as much sleep as the rest of them.
"If you'd like to rest your eyes..." Alexander said, not exactly knowing how to propose what he was. "You could lean up against me...that way, I'll watch for a while...." Lifting his hand off of her leg, he caressed her cheek and warmly smiled at the head girl. "Even the most courageous of Head Girl's need their sleep."

At first she wasn't sure if the nudge had been purposeful, she hadn't cared who heard her, nor had she even realized she'd been thinking her wants aloud. But when his hand touched her leg she did two things, the first of which was to flinch. The second, she turned her tear lined face toward the elder boy anyway, if only to show that she had been in fact awake. She didn't know his name but she had heard Krissy's voice, and while she couldn't see Krissy, the fact that she was talking to him told her that he was alright.
"You ok?"
Two words, two simple words, and as much as she could tell the elder boy actually cared for her safety, the tone of concern carried little power to redeem the damage that was done. Lianna could only shrug her shoulders across the floor in resonse to his question while her fingers fiddled absently with themselves. She wanted to go home, and while she knew that Manchester held little along the lines of friendships for her anymore, at least she knew that there she was truly safe. At Hogwarts, safe was apparantly nothing more than a relative lie as opposed to the concrete fact she had been led to believe for three years. Hogwarts wasn't safe; no place in this wizarding world was safe as long as people like those who held them captive drew their breaths. Her voice came in nothing more than a shallow whisper, again carrying a plea that even now she knew simply couldn't be answered, couldn't be granted.
"I want my dad..."

Alexander's hand gripped her leg and she tensed a little, as much as she loved his touch and the comfort that it brought she wasn't even sure if he should be doing such. Afterall, wouldn't that blonde get upset if she saw it? Krissy didn't particularly wish to have a complete stranger yelling at her about things. She was sure there was enough troubles and high emotions flying around the great hall without adding more to the fray. However she couldn't bring herself to remove his hand. She liked it there and it was comforting.
Alexander continued to speak to her, offering her assisstance and the ability to sleep but she couldn't take him up on it. As tempting as it was to lay her head down and sleep she would just worry him more. Specially if she woke up in his arms shaking and scared. That wouldn't help anyone. She couldn't stop the dreams to the only thing she knew how to do was avoid them and that was by avoiding sleep. He offered for her to rest against him, she was tempted to agree but she knew she didn't want to sleep, perhaps just use him for support? His hand that caressed her cheek was soft and warm and she smiled slightly at his touch. Her eyes looked back at his, noticing his smile in return. It was nice. She grinned a bit more at his comment. There was only one head girl - her.
However the moment seemed to be broken as a small voice piped up. Interrupting the quiet calm that had overcome Krissy momentarily. As the voice spoke she jumped. She hadn't expected there to be anyone else around. She turned suddenly in her seat to see where the voice had come from. Lianna was there. Krissy took a deep breath out. She wasn't used to this whole situation. Krissy looked down at the young Huffle while she tried to process the words which she had only heard as noise originally.
I wany my dad...
Krissy finally understood what the girl said. "Hey Li" Krissy said, her normal visage having returned to try to be strong for Lianna. Though most of the tiredness was still visable, she wasn't letting much else show. Krissy moved from the seat, kneeling down outside of the table so she could look over the seat to Lianna "You alright darling?" she asked the young one gently "I don't think we can get your dad right now" Krissy frowned slightly. What did you tell someone that wanted their family and couldn't have them? "But I'm going to try my hardest to get you to him." It was the best Krissy could do. Promise to try.

"I don't think we can get your dad right now, but I'm going to try my hardest to get you to him."
She'd try, they'd try, everyone was going to try something but no one was confident enough to say they'd succeed, no one was confident enough that they'd be able to go home. Was no one confident about anything other than the obvious fact that they were prisoners in their own supposed sanctuary? She didn't want anyone to try to get her home, she wanted someone to get her there, someone to take her.
"I lied to him...I told him I was safe here," the Hufflepuff murmured in what was describeable as nothing more than a fatigued monotone. In truth she wasn't talking to either of them but to herself, it wasn't shock any longer that made her such but rather the realization. She was only thirteen, nothing more than a mere child in many aspects and yet she felt like she'd violated some unwritten or unheard law and no one had told her. No one told her and they simply locked her away. No trial, no judge, no jury, nothing.
"And he believed me..."

Krissy left Alexander's side to be by the young girl's. It was probably best that Krissy dealt with the situation, for Alexander found himself not even being able to think straight about anything that could have possibly helped the girl. His mother, too, praised this school for it's security and it's education.
At the moment, both which Alexander was finding quite useless. Yes, it was true that he didn't want to be a wizard all of his life, but that didn't mean he wasn't well equipped with the wand he called his own. However, the education and spells learned with it, was now not of any help of him being without his wand. And as for security, the still patroling Deva members were enough to shoot that one down as well.
As the girl said that she lied to her father, the older huffle's heart went out to the younger girl. Looking down at the ground from the bench he sat on, he shook his head and spoke. "No....you didn't lie. Even the toughest and safest places have their weak spots. But don't worry....they can be fixed....right, Krissy? This is nothing..." Alexander didn't look at his friend, nor did he want to. It wasn't her this time though, it was that he didn't want her to see the doubt he held in his eyes. Most of the older ones heard of the past days and the Hogwarts history.
It was in their books, not that he had the best history grades but that was also besides the point. The younger students, however, didn't need to know that if they didn't know it yet. They'd find out soon enough, but as Alexander pondered and clasped his hands together from nerves, he only hoped that the school bounced back like it had so many years ago. "This school always turns around and saves the noble....trust me...." Alexander said, trying to remember exactly what happened in the past years of Hogwarts. If there was any time to be wishing he never fell asleep in History of Magic, now was the time.

Krissy knew the past of hogwarts, although she never seemed to pay attention to the crazy hufflepuff head of house, she always got decent enough grades meaning she was actually paying attention. She knew the school had been penetrated before. Krissy frowned as Lianna had said she had lied to her father. She would have spoke but Alex got in first and Krissy allowed him to speak. Once he finished Krissy spoke up. "Yes, they can be fixed" she agree'd with Alex, helping him in what he was saying.
"And you didn't lie to your father" Krissy said to Lianna without a doubt in her voice "You are safe here. Because I will not let any halm come to you." Krissy was telling the truth, she would give her own life to save any of the other's, even if she knew them or not. It was just her way, but Lianna would be one Krissy would keep extra protection upon because she was like Krissy's little sister and Krissy was never going to let anything happen to her. Krissy moved in underneath the table to where Lianna was and pulled her friend into a hug. "It'll be alright. You will be safe" Krissy whispered softly to Lianna.
Krissy had noticed that Alexander had refused to look at her. Krissy wondered if it was because he was still mad at her. Krissy's eyes watched him, slightly hurt that he wouldn't look at her. She of course didn't know why. She hoped he wouldn't stay mad at her forever. Krissy's eyes dropped away from Alex and back to Lianna, a frown visible upon her face.

Both claimed she hadn't lied, both claimed she would be safe, everyone had claimed alot of things over the past several hours but there was no action taken to support any of it. Everyone had said words of hope, but the only action she'd seen was the rotation of the faceless sentries that stood a tenaciously consistent watch over their young bodies. Her faith and hope were fastly fading and her trust was now placed only in what she could see, which at the moment was nothing more than the underside of a table. Some savior that was being...
"It'll be alright. You'll be safe."
Her formerly crying eyes met the seventh year's for only a brief moment, but anyone could see the defeat she held in her eyes. "It's not alright," Lianna replied, voice and tone unchanged. "As long as they're here I'm not safe...I'd be safe if I'd listened to dad...I wouldn't be here if I'd listened to him..." The girl trailed off before whatever barrier she'd formed inside came crashing down and fresh tears resumed once more. "None of this would be happening if I hadn't begged him to stay...I want my dad...I don't want to be here anymore!" Everyone talked but no one acted, what faith, what belief was she supposed to retain from that? Everyone was saying they would get out, everyone was saying they'd make it through, but no one told her how they would obtain it, no one was making any effort to achieve such a goal. Faith without works wasn't faith at all...
And her faith was nearly gone...

Krissy could tell Lianna had basically given up hope and Krissy didn't like it. She needed to shelter Lianna, to keep her safe and try to reassure her, but Krissy wasn't able to promise much more then to do everything she could to keep Lianna safe. It seemed thats what was needed. Krissy would definitely be throwing vegetable at some of the deva the next day, not only in frustration but also to test their boundaries, if she could get Lianna out she would.
Krissy tightened her hug around the girl as she spoke, her frown growing. "No-one wants to be here darling, but we are and what matters now is not what we want but what we do to get it. You are safe as long as I'm around because I will not let any halm come to you while I am around. None at all" Krissy's voice was soothing, comforting, yet unlikely to get an effect. But she was also honest. Her life would be given up before Lianna's. She would even give it up as a bargaining chip to keep Lianna safe.
"Wait it out with me, I'll do everything I can to get you out of here" Krissy glanced away from Lianna now to Alexander, she knew he wouldn't approve. He never seemed to like her decisions and she wondered if he would be glaring at her about this statement too. She hoped he wasn't. She didn't want him mad at her but it seemed everything she did made him mad and she didn't know how to prevent that. Krissy didn't want Lianna to cry but it seemed that was what she was doing and not being able to promise to fix this was difficult. Krissy herself wasn't even sure about all this and she would love nothing more then to go to sleep and wake up in her bed in Hufflepuff and realise everything is okay. But that was not likely to happen, especially not with the way her dreams were. Krissy's eyes stayed on Alex, she wanted to tell him she was sorry and to not be mad at her, she wanted to tell him she hoped he was happy with that blonde but as typical Krissy she put everyone elses problems in front of her own so instead she just looked at Alexander while trying to comfort Lianna, instead of saying what she wanted to him.
