Jax's conversation with Snake had just started as they had entered the feast. From waiting she noticed that as soon as she entered the hall, the feast had already begun. So, where she was now was no surprise. Crouched in a corner behind the faceless men she sat among the debris of the door. She couldn't see Snake, had no idea where the Gryffindor was. Her mind and body screamed and a few places even hurt from being his by flying concrete and door. She was alright though, for the most part.
Her body shook, her mind raced, and her eyes were fixated on the man that she had seen only months earlier on the sixth floor. Shaw, that's what his name was. It wasn't Sham or Shark...though Shark may have fit him better. What was he doing here? Why and what did he mean by the fact that they were here for them? What did they do to deserve such hostile company? Jax knew she should have stayed in bed that morning...then again, the image of Snake rushed back into her head. Where was her friend? Was she ok? Scared and alone in a corner she knew she probably was known to be in already, she just hugged her knees to her chest. This was ridiculous, but the young thirteen year old didn't know what else she could do. If she called out, she'd totally be found. If she just sat there, no telling where Snake could be. So, that was what she did...until told that she could move or should move, she would just sit there, her body still quivering in fear and in some pain.
There was one thing she knew for sure though...she wasn't handing over her wand. Not over her dead body, which unfortunately she had no idea how literal that could have been.

Their wands were collected and now with Jeremy under cover of the table he wished he had kept hold of his. He glanced at Allegra, wondering if he could get use hers if the time came for it, but no luck. He saw his sister place her wand on the table right after Brady threw his own down.
The faceless man who collected their wands seemed to take a strange interest in Celina and Drew tensed as the man leaned in to speak to her. The prefect couldn't hear the words (later, he'd wonder if Hiro had) but the action itself was menacing and the message quite clear. Celina threw her wand down and the masked man still persisted with her.
"You got her wand! Leave her alone!" Drew growled at the intruder and he grabbed at her arm to pull her away. He knew there was little he could do to protect Celina at this point but he had to try something.

Dean had been sitting at the Slythering table, bored out of his mind for some time now. He turned his head to see some of the younger kids conversing along the table. He just wished the darn feast would be over. Moral boosting and all as it was, Dean had just returned to Hogwart's after not being there for six months. What he didn't need was this. He wanted to talk to people, see how they were, but now wasn't the time.
It became even more less of the time for such things as the Great Hall was overtaken. Dean looked shocked as he saw the former Professor Shaw walking into the Great Hall, apparently the leader. As they requested for wands, Dean didn't move. He merely looked down the table to Artie and another little Slytherin girl and motioned them to get down, under the table. He turned to see that alot of the other older kids were telling the younger ones to do the same. He wanted to make sure they would be okay, whoever these visitors were, they weren't here for tea and dessert. A worried frown took over his face as he looked down the Slytherin table, trying to spot any other young Slytherins who should be under the table right now. He spotted several others down the way and tried to catch their eyes, motioning them down. " It's okay.. " He muttered to a young frightened looking girl next to him. " Down you get, it'll be alright. "
He was tempted to set down his wand but couldn't bring himself to it. He knew he didn't stand a chance when it came to dueling with any of these wizards, but he just couldn't. Not yet.

It set in. It really set in. Charlie looked around, scared for her senses when she was was absolutely sure all the of the sounds became muffled in the Great Hall. Instantly, though, she heard everything again. The screams. The cries. The war cries. The cold words coming from Shaw's mouth. It was lost but it was gained in so quick of a second that she didn't hear the motioning of her wand from the Deva accomplice behind her.
She jerked back from the person and set her face in an expression of hard anger. "Step off--! I'll give you my damn wand," She had gripped the wand until her knuckles were white. In one motion though, her power was relinquished. She would use her fists if it didn't mean her life. But that was all she had for now. Her fists.
Her heart tightened within herself and her brain twisted in some form of silent agony as she recalled her personal event not too long ago. Since getting back control over herself, she had been trying to get help from anyone skilled in DADA to help her update her knowledge. But with the very class that helped banned, she was closed off from truly defending herself from it. Mostly she had her intense fear and paranoia of the dark arts, and each day had that small grip of horror that maybe this was the day a dark witch or wizard would come around and bring her torture without any time for defense. Those moments of fear rose up until it came down again with distraction and leisure, but she still had it within her. And now that it was really happening, she wasn't sure how much her sanity could take it.
She just wanted Shaw to shut up.

Fingers felt latching onto her arm, Celina almost thought it was another faceless creature. She tried to recoil, but was only brought into the person further, then realizing that it was Drew. She leaned into him a bit to get away from Alfonz. No matter who it was, she was afraid and at the moment, she didn't see how in the world Alfonz being there with people who were supposed to be....horrid and evil souls was protecting her. Was it from the same idea that had changed him so over break? Whatever it was though, she couldn't give away it was him. She could help him, like he obviously needed it. Alfonz was in trouble, and if he was there to protect her, that only meant one of two things to Celina, either he was a spy in the Devas or they had brainwashed him somehow into thinking that with there help he could protect her better than he had been.
Taking the ribbon from the table, she did as she was told by Alfonz however, and put up her hair with it. It was a symbol that she believed the man was telling her the truth that he infact was her older brother. But....but why? She leaned back into Drew a bit and put her hands in her face. She'd wouldn't say what was said to her, not out loud. Not at that time. There was too much to think about, to much to digest and no time to do it in. A small sob escaped from Celina's lips. "Wha...what's going on?" Confusion spread throughout her every being...Alfonz couldn't be a Deva...there just had to be more to it.

Hoping Jethro would continue to comply, Felicity turned her gaze back down to her gravy covered wand. All right, so it wasn't a joke, but what in the world was going on? The faceless people were a little scary, but at the same time quite intriguing. Whatever it was they were there to do, she was pretty sure they chose the right way to do it, they were terrifying, who wouldn't comply?
Glancing up, she watched the interaction between the leader and the professor Celina had done the interview on. He didn't seem to be a very bright person, the way he was going about what it was he was going about. True, a few points could be given to him for his bravery, but a few could easily be taken away for his boldness as well.
Watching the faceless people walk around, beginning to gather wands, she held her breath as she watched one in particular go to the Ravenclaw table. Her light brown eyes followed the movement of the person in particular as he approached her friend and appeared to move seemingly close. That poor, crazy Ravengirl. Felicity hoped she wasn't going to panic more than she probably already was. Then something else happened, something she couldn't help but frown about.
There was something wrong there, and it wasn't the Deva.
That jealous twinge made it's appearance once more as she watched Drew pull her friend closer to him, away from the frightening person. And Celina didn't back away, from where Felicity sat it almost looked as though she were nearly collapsing into him. What a time to feel the way she was.
Why in the world was she so upset every time her friends got close like that? She knew Celina didn't like Drew, but it was always Drew making the initial contact in such situations.
Turning her gaze away, she concentrated on her plate, waiting for what was to come next. Her heart was pounding, her nerves wracking her body badly, and they weren't the same ones she liked Drew making.

Mark was incredibly ticked off. He had been awaiting in the Common Room for Lianna Maylorn to come, but she never did, adding to the horribleness of his winter holidays. Defeated, he had headed down to the Great Hall, and flabbergasted saw Lianna on the opposite side of the Hufflepuff table. He himself resided as far away from her as possible until the feast actually began.
Mark hardly paid attention when the oak doors slammed open, and Shaw walked in. He was too busy pilling mashed potatoes on his plate, but turned to face him none-the-less while he spoke. Then he remembered that the man was a convicted member of thirteen, and that the people slowly walking in around him were blank-faced and looking omnious. Once Mark's mind clicked that he was no longer part of Hogwarts staff, his mouth dropped a good four inches.
Deafening screaming. Terror. And he could do nothing more than sit gap-mouthed, his fork still drooping with mashed potatoe. Mark bit his bottom lip hardly, turned to face Lianna and saw her disappear beneath the table. That seemed to be the smart thing to do. He too ducked beneath the table, though with all the legs in the way, there was no possible way he'd be able to reach Lianna... His heart was racing, his mind foggy and unresponsive, and he suddenly wished he took the seat next to Lianna than those by the oak doors.
((ooc;; worst post ever... sorry Lianna D:))

Hiro just wanted to enjoy this fine meal that he was about to receive. However a small food fight and Drew letting power get to his head prevented such a thing. Then the meal ending event happened. There was an ominous aura in the air for anyone who could notice the signs but Hiro was too excited to be around his friends to notice.
The moment the blast came Hiro stood and remained standing during Shaw's speech. Like Drew Hiro pulled out a six inch oak wand and placed it on the table. Had they not needed to worry about Hannah or the others around them Hiro was sure he and Drew would have gone down as the muggles say 'guns blazing'. Since their entrance Hiro paid close attention to the voices, the masks may have concealed the face but the blind prefect didn't identify people by that. As one of the Deva came nearby to where they were and collected the wands Hiro took close notice as he taunted Celina.
"Back off!" Hiro warned, like Drew had said moments ago they were in charge of Ravenclaw. If anyone was messing with the Ravens Hiro was going to answer, he had more than one or two tricks up his sleeve.

Jeremy took hold of Emerald and nodded seriously. Knowing that the cat's safety was in his hands meant that he couldn't be scared. He was in charge.
He tugged at Hannah, urging her to follow him a bit deeper in. Jeremy wasn't about to go far from Drew or Celina but he didn't want to be near the space he had just vacated. He shrunk back even farther when one of the men came close, pointing in his direction and threatening him. Could they tell he was part Muggle, just by looking at him? He was pretty sure that man was scaring the cat very very badly and he stroked her fur and whispered to her to keep her calm.

It all happened so quickly that it was still hard for the gryffie to believe what the heck just happened. Anna had bearly even touched her silverwear when the doors of the great hall were blasted off their hinges and the unwelcoming sight of her old herbology teach came into full view. No way! There's no way thats him! she thought hysterically. How the heck he managed to get into the castle? It took awhile for the sight to finally cement itself into Anna's brain. But she did not surrender her wand when commanded too.
Heart pounding, Anna chanced a small glance at the Ravenclaw table. Things didn't seem to be going well based mainly by what she heard. Taking another glance down to where Felicity sat a few seats down staring down at her plate. Her chest began to tighten as she saw the faceless figures starting to go up the house tables seizing up wands. Anna did not want to relinquish her own but what choice would she have by the time they managed to get her her. She dare not underestimate what these guys were capable of doing.
Face turning pale, Anna just looked up and down the table waiting for her turn to come. The only question looming around in her head what what was going to happen to all of them.

It was a very awkward moment for the auror or so it appeared, they were taught that they had command, thay they were the authority. It was a pity that he wasn't one anymore, but that was certainly the only thing keeping him alive -- well, that and what bits of his brain he continued to logically use. As Davenport and Miss Thornton likewise tossed theirs forth all he could do was incline his head in silent approval, scoop up the three wands given and begin a wonderful but equally dangerous trek back. However it seemed his underlings had other plans for themselves...
"Mr. Jeden, Mr. Schmidt please control yourselves they're children, not savages. Do treat them as such and act yourselves accordingly!" It wasn't a suggestion, and it certainly wasn't any sort of jest. Quite frankly he didn't need a riot, nor any other circumstance before they were properly secured. The doors -- or lack there of -- were still a small problem. It was one point among many that he hadn't thought completely through as he'd done it but waltzing in calmly with a wand out wouldn't've gone very well with anyone. Including himself.
It was during a series of three steps and with all these thoughts scavanging about his head for solutions to themselves that the seventh year Hufflepuff's potato passed within mere inches of his face -- it was truly impecable accuracy. He hadn't seen the movement, and certainly hadn't seen the airborn vegitable and while it was not the foolish stunt of wandwork he'd expected it was still downright foolish. While he couldn't prove who'd thrown it, it was easily narrowed down to somewhere in the Hufflepuff table, as it was far too straight to have been shot from toward the Gryffindor wall. Irinic realy, since bravery and stupidity weren't generally a Hufflepuff trait.
The former professor halted in his walk, glancing each available direction for a mere moment before shaking his head and resuming his walk. The only word coming from his lips was that of "Cute." before he cleared the gauntlet once more. "This can be easy, simple and painless or it can be difficult, unwanted and painful. We're quite content with either option but the overall choice remains yours, although personally I'd rather not hear anymore screams tonight." With that his voice became much more quiet, orders being passed around to fan out and secure the pre-planned positions as well as put the armor sentries in place. The ground floor would now become contested territory. "Go ahead and finish your meals! It's all you'll get until morning..." With that he left the hall to check personally the rest of the floor and positioning. People could never be entrusted to do anything correctly the first time. He would be back, too many people wanted a piece of to not do so.
Occupational Status: Achieved. And so began Phase Four.
(Note that now leaves eight (8) Deva in the hall and for reference the courtyard sentries and the two for the dungeon and kitchen/Hufflepuff staircases are in place. I leave the field to the rest of you.)

Elizabeth watched with mild curiousity as the faceless humans entered the hall. Despite the seriousness of the situation, her brain could not comprehend just how bad it was and therefore she felt no fear. Nor any need to hide or cry or scream. She simply watched, facinated more by the faceless being than anything else. How'd they do that? she wondered. It crossed Elizabeth's mind that she should ask one of them if they could teach her how to do that to her own face. That would scare the piss out of her siblings. Maybe even get them to stop bothering her. And if she had to join this bunch to learn it...well, Elizabeth was more than willing to do so at the moment. Especially since they seemed to be fellow bullies. People like that should always stick together.

Hiro took the opportunity as it came already trying to find out the odds and forming a plan. A number of the Deva left whether to secure or search he didn't know. That meant that there were less in the hall packed with teachers and students, students that weren't all panicked out of there minds. Sure the fear had crushed most of the student population but there were still those ready to do whatever it took to protect themselves, their friends, their state of minds or show their true colors. The first thing was to find the strengths and weaknesses of the moment.
"What's our status?" He muttered to Drew finally taking his seat once more. He physically looked defeated but mentally the battle had only started.

So he had mashed potatos on his face, Shaw had asked for wands (and apparantly had gotten quite a number of them) but while all this was going on he hadn't moved except to remove the plate of food from his face, spit alittle out and curse under his breath. He was the spititng image of the village idiot, but it was a price that for now he was more than willing to pay. "Your wand boy."
The voice belonged to one of Shaw's lackeys, a right impatient bloke who right now towered above his blinking eyes and that no face thing -- that was right bizzare, bizzare but also pure genius in the same respect. He had to make a note to get one of those for himself...provided he actually got out of here in one piece. "Don' 'ave it bucko....up in my dorm now coul' ye kindly get off my bloody hand before you break my bloomin fingers?" Apparantly the wand answer satisified, but the smart remark only caused him to apply more pressure before he moved along. Now he knew his hand wasn't broken, be Merlin be damned if it didn't sting a quite good deal of something awful -- actually it was about as bad as a bludger hit...only centralized to a four inch cube called the palm of his hand.
Awkwardly the boy hauled himself up out fo the aisle and seated himself in such a fashiopn as to be able to see most of the hall. By the time he'd managed to sit up, Brady's confrontation was over and Krissy's potato was just going airborn. It was a bold but equally stupid and amusing move but he wasn't tookeen of pressing Shaw's buttons this early in the play. He was prepared for this, that much was evident he expected them to not succumb fully willing. Heck the man probably expected them to do alot of things, he'd taught most of them for over a year after all -- he knew how most of what everyone would do before they did it. The students hadn't changed, the staff had, but they were obligated tot he students...the setup was perfect and Ticloon's apparantly near constant absense only made it all the more easier. Fate had a bitter sense of humor, and this night it was at its highest peak yet. So after all this disruption and all this chaos and the faceless blokes and everything else Shaw expected them to eat as if they weren't there? Well, that certainly wasn't happening, his appetite had disipated when his dinner became his skin, and vanished comepletely as he saw a face where he'd nearly contemplated blindly sticking his foot.
"This is bullocks. S'everyone all well?" Corey questioned with a half-hearted glance around the table, disregarding the food remements stuck to his face. Everyone looked fine within certain respects and ages but he was quite certain everyone was feeling just as right pissed and nervous as he was -- and he added partial guilt on top of it all. the boy took another look at an empty plate and pushed it away. Shaw would be hearing his complaining tonight -- even if it did make him sound like a first year.
It was from the corner of his eye however he saw the sight that scared him most, even though she hadn't been the housemate with whom he'd maintained thebest of steady terms. Deryn Morgan, paralyzed with fear in the midddle of the aisle between the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor tables. With wands collected already it was a wonder she hadn't been knocked over for amusement, perhaps this conspicuous b******s weren't quite as cruel as he'd thought them to be...or maybe they had their kicks already. Either worked and he wasn't about to let her stand there looking like a ninny until Shaw came back.
"Oi Morgan, just pick a table an' sit at it an' eat somethin'...I don' think it matters anymore which one!" He called with a small smile of what he hoped looked like encouragement. Humor...lighten the mood and calm everyone down, that was primary, right?

Deryn heard Corey's voice and turned her head to look at him. Was it really the time to make jokes? She just kind of glared at him, scared to even follow his instructions. She didn't really want to move with Robert Shaw standing in front of her like that. Looking around, Deryn watched as one of the wizards came over to where she was, taking her want out of the inside of her robes. She flinched away from him, wanting to push him off but thinking that wasn't a good idea. "Don't touch me," she snarled at him once her wand was gone.
Whether it was stupidity or bravery she wasn't sure, but Deryn turned her back and walked away from them all, going to the Gryffindor table and sitting down as close to Corey and Keagan as she could, waiting for whatever Shaw had for them. "What are we gonna do?" she whispered to the Head Boy.
