EllieJaneHopkins
[ Name: ] Eleanor “ Ellie “ Jane Hopkins
[ Country of Citizenship: ] UK
[ House: ] Ravenclaw
[ Year: ] Sixth
Physical Description
To those who don’t know her, Ellie’s looks can be described as sweet, kind and gentle. While she can’t be described as extremely beautiful, she is a pretty girl of rather ordinary appearance. Her eyes are general a shade of light blue although they do change at times from blue to a light greenish color or even gray. Her hair is normally a medium shade of brown, although she has been known to randomly change her hair color. Ellie’s hair is naturally curly, although half of the time she does straighten it. She is frequently found with a small amount of make-up on, little things such as eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara. She prefers to accentuate her eyes with the makeup she wears, finding them the focal point of her face as well as her best feature. Her skin is a pale ivory color, going very nicely with the colors of both her eyes and her hair.
Ellie stands at a height of 5’7. She is considerably shorter than her twin brother and father, but around the same height as her mother. She has a rather diverse style of clothing, it can vary from punk to preppy to indie all within the span of three days. She is a self conscious girl, as most teenagers are, but does try her best to maintain a general look of cool and calm.
There is nothing more than average about the girl’s appearance except that she looks similar to her fraternal twin brother, Beau.
Personality Description
Ellie is many things. She is young, carefree, energetic and silly. But she is also studious, intelligent, and kind. She is a lot more than she makes herself seem to be, a lot of times choosing to hide in the shadow of her brother. While her brother would describe it to be just the opposite, he having to hide in her shadow. Ellie can be rather out-spoken and loud at times, making sure that she’s being heard. This comes from growing up with five siblings total, being the smallest one of the lot she always felt like she had to do or say more than the others in order to be noticed.
When she’s in a mood she can be a rude person, not bothering with formalities or even simple niceties. She can be loud and obnoxious just to annoy people, but most of the time she only does this to her siblings to get their attention. She hates the feeling of being ignored and one of the ways she chooses to better herself so she won’t be ignored is her school-work. Out all of her siblings, Ellie is among the brightest. She is what her father calls ‘ the shining star ‘ of the family. Her plans are to go on and become a worker for the Ministry of Magic or possibly maybe an author or researcher. Her possibilities are endless, and her parents never forget to remind her. The girl’s intelligence comes both naturally and through hard work. She is quite studious and spends most of her time in the library, reading whatever she can.
While she does spend quite a lot of time studying, she does know how to have a good time. She has two different sides to her, the fun and adventurous side, and the careful and studious side. It depends on who she’s around which part of her she lets shine through. Around her family Ellie can be rather short tempered. She grows easily frustrated when she can’t understand something or someone can’t understand what she’s telling them. In her mind, if she understands something so easily, why can’t someone else get it just as easily?
She can, at times, push away potential friends by her closeness to her family. While they can frustrate her to no end, she does stick close to them when given the option to venture out. She sticks particularly close to her brother although she claims it’s always him sticking with her. Ellie doesn’t usually care that people know about her closeness to her family although at times she can be embarrassed by them just as any other teenager.
She loves to be around people, talking with them or even just sitting around doing nothing. She enjoys the company and doesn’t much like to spend a ton of time by herself doing nothing. Even though Ellie would never admit it, Ellie does envy her brother for some things. She admires how close he is to the family, and how he gets along with everyone.
History
Family-
James Allen Hopkins and Jane Elizabeth Malory met by chance on a lovely evening in October at Hogwarts. The two quickly grew close and became ‘ high school sweethearts. ‘ James, being the proud and boastful Gryffindor that he was, encouraged Jane, the shy and reserved Ravenclaw that she was, to come out of her shell. The two’s friendship grew from liking one another to love. Soon after their graduation at Hogwart’s, the two got married. And so begins the Hopkins family.
Their first child, Megan, was born when the two were only nineteen years old in 1971. With the help of both of their parents, the two teens quickly settled into a nice little life in London. They had their own little flat to themselves with their quickly expanding family. And their family soon did expand. In 1975, James Jr. was born, followed by Kenzie in 1981 when the adults were twenty nine years of age. James Hopkins supported his family by various means. His father had been an entrepreneur, pioneering his way into the Wizarding economic scene with his business that created odds n’ ends for wizarding house-holds. James eventually went the way of his father, taking over the business. Jane was a stay at home mother and took care of the still growing family. In 1983 their second son, Allen was born. He was named after Jane’s father, Allen Malory. The two decided to wait a while before trying for another child again. The business was booming, and things were very busy around the house with most of the children in Hogwarts by now.
Nine years after the birth of their son Allen, Jane and James were delighted by the news of the soon-to-be birth of their fifth and sixth children. Yes, twins. The two were as excited as ever to welcome their new children into their homes.

The Twin’s History-
September 2nd, 1992. A dreadfully rainy day, in most people’s opinion. To Jane and James Hopkins, however, it was a beautiful day to welcome their new children into the world.
From the time the twins were small, everyone paid attention to them. People passing in the streets, their older siblings, family members. Twins weren’t such an oddity that none of them had ever seen them before, but Beau and Jane looked so much alike that it was hard to tell them apart. Eventually their parents wisened up and began to dress them in different colors, soft girlish colors for Ellie and dark boyish colors for Beau. As the children grew older there became more of a difference between them, Beau growing into a handsome young man and Ellie growing into a lovely young woman.

Ellie’s History -
Growing up with a fraternal twin has never been a big deal to Ellie. Actually, most of the time she doesn’t think of Beau as her twin, just her brother instead. The two never acted alike, and although they look quite similar, Ellie always hated it when people just slumped them together. From the time she was small she felt like a bit of an oddity. She didn’t quite fit in with her older sisters, and her older brothers were too busy being boys to have any fun and play with her. She was a bit of an oddity, not sticking close to anyone except her mother. Although she was always slumped with Beau, she wasn’t that close to him until they grew older.
Until Ellie was seven and began to make friends of her own around the neighborhood, she was very much a loner. Beau was always doing boy things with their father and older brothers, and her older sisters were always too busy for the antics of her younger sibling. She was so excited when she made her first friend on her very own that she quickly began to make more friends, both magical and muggle alike. She soon began to blossom into the social butterfly she is today. Ellie also showed an aptitude for reading and intelligence at a young age. She found this as a way to out-do her brother, who seemed to fit in much better with the family in general. Everyone liked Beau because he was easy to get along with, but Ellie always felt like she stuck out like a sore thumb.
Although the girl did have her shy moments, she liked to keep up with as many friends as she could. When the twins entered Hogwarts School, Ellie receded a bit into her own little area. She was thrown into something new, a lot of her friends from back home were a little younger than her or attended a different wizarding school. Ellie felt unprepared for the transition to Hogwarts, but quickly grew to love the school.
She the first four years at the school went by without remark, she did very well in her lessons and tried her best in everything she did. Ellie still stuck close to Beau, though, finding him to be somewhat of a safety blanket for her. She grew used to always having her sibling looming about, he didn’t talk much to other people as much as Ellie did, but she still enjoyed his company more than when they were younger.
Pros and Cons
There are many bad and good traits about Ellie. She can be intelligent, kind and hardworking as well as short tempered, obnoxious, and self conscious.
She is a very intelligent person, and she tries to do her best in school. Ellie can also be a bit snobbish about her intelligence just to prove someone wrong. Growing up she always did better in her school work than her brother, so she became very proud of what she accomplished, more proud than what was necessary. She can be a very gloating person at times, and at other times she can be very modest. It all depends on the situation. Concerning her good marks in school, though, she normally boasts about how well she does compared to her brother.
One thing about her that can be considered both a pro and a con is her competitive nature. Whether it comes to school work, pick up quidditch games in the back yard, or even simple things like getting finished with her chores faster, Ellie is a very competitive person. She doesn’t like to let her guard down and is always ready to go head to head with someone. Her looks are sweet as candy, but she likes to be fierce when it comes to going against someone else. It’s this attitude that keeps her at the top percentile of her class. She has a love of sports, but finds them somewhat distracting from her studies.
Another trait that seems to go hand in hand with her competitive tendencies is that she is very hardworking. She likes to give it her all, even if it means exerting herself in the process of doing so. She tries her best to be a kind person, but at times her mouth moves faster than her brain can process what she’s about to say. This tends to be one of her more obnoxious qualities, the fact that she sometimes doesn’t know when to be quiet. She can cause fights in her family by bringing up something that would rather be forgotten, or even provoking people.
Ellie is rather short tempered when confused or frustrated. She sees the world plainly and simply and struggles to understand why others can’t see it in the same light as she. She can be self conscious, as any teenager is. The only time she really allows her self consciousness to shine through is when she’s afraid of something. She likes to keep up her tough girl image, but at times she is just what she happens to be – a child.
