[ Occupation Requesting: ] Healer-In-Training
[ Country of Citizenship: ] United Kingdom, after moving there from France when she was 14.
[ Physical Character Description: ]
Luce seems to have the innocent, lovable look down pat. Heck, she mastered that look when she was in preschool. Her slim, small figure gives people the illusion that the girl isn’t capable of much physical activity, though it is quite the opposite. Luce stands at 5’3 on petite frame, though she is incredibly fit and well toned out. Her entire body is put together just so over time. Though completely against the stereotypes, Luce does look like the typical French or even European girl. She plays up to this, unconsciously, by wearing vintage clothing with stripes and berets.
Ever since the day of her birth, Luce has been graced with a soft, even skin tone. Sure, she hasn’t got olive skin, but it isn’t too pale, but rather has a milky tan. Her mother was always the type of parent that wanted her children to be beautiful, so most of the time during her childhood Luce could be seen smothered in sunscreen and all kinds of things to make her look ‘beautiful’. At this time, Luce couldn’t have cared any less about what she looked like, but her mother would not take no for an answer.
Another thing that some think is beautiful, and that Luce is lucky to have, is her hair. Being almost the same color as her skin, Luce’s blonde hair is incredibly enviable. Slightly curly, definitely wavy and almost perfect, that’s how you can describe it. Luce’s hair never annoys her, as some people complain that theirs does. She usually wears it out, but on some occasions she’ll put it up into a bun or a pony tail, and sometimes she’ll frenchbraid it.
Luce’s best facial feature is probably her eyes. Blue, and deep as the ocean, Luce has learnt how to use these to the best of her advantages. Some describe them as being pure, enthralling, but in her own opinion they are the window into the mischievous, lovable part of her. Her nose sits right where she’d want it to, and is dotted with not freckles, but beauty spots, as she likes to refer to them as. Her mouth is a subtle pink, and surrounds a set of straight teeth, medically fixed by braces. She was the only one that needed something to enhance her looks, but it really wasn’t her choice to get them.
Growing up in quite a sophisticated family, she has always dressed to impress, not for comfort. Its only now that she’s moved out from her family home that she’s started buying clothes that fit her needs. You can usually find her in skirts as apposed to pants, and likes to wear blouses and sweaters as apposed to singlets and jackets. That’s just the way she grown used to them, and it isn’t really her choice as she doesn’t know any different. Luce loves to wear cardigans, and has a knitted beret in almost every color.
[ Personality Character Description: ]
Confident. Intelligent. Lovable. Just three words seem to be able to sum up Luce’s personality. Although she has many other characteristics, she believes that these are her best and the most suiting to her happy self. She is basically like any other nineteen year old, but she believes that she has so much more than that. For instance, like other teenagers, she likes boys, money, parties, celebrating and relaxing, but Luce thinks that she has the sophistication levels of a thirty year old and the maturity of her mother.
Luce has always been the life of the party, ever since she was born. She was regarded as being confident, but a lot of the time people find that hard to get past when it comes to making friends with her. Luce has never had too much trouble making friends, its just when it comes to keeping friends that she finds it hard. Something usually happens to make them not want to talk or socialize with her again, and that breaks her heart. It’s not something that Luce does on purpose, she can just be too over-bearing and way too confident.
Ever since she was young, Luce has also been quite intelligent. She was always the top of her class, she even learnt how to read at a young age. When she began attending magic school, Luce didn’t really know what was going to happen, whether she was going to be good at it, or whether she was doomed. The young girl picked it up quickly, and that thrilled the girl. Luce knew that her career was important, and she also knew that she needed good marks to get a good career. Sghe had the maturity levels of her person finishing school, most kids her age still liked playing in the mud. No, Luce was way past that.
Luce has that tendency to be cute, and lovable. Despite her ‘sophistication’, she has a bubbly personality that never seems to rest. Many cannot stand this, and get annoyed with her easily, but sometimes she manages to wrap them around her little finger, and make them love her. It’s something that she does subconsciously, but she still does it nevertheless.
[ History: ]
Born on the twentieth of July, 1988, Luce was born into a loving family. With a both parents being magical, there was no doubt that she would be attending magical school, and was brought up in the usual magical fashion. Having a younger brother and a younger sister has actually aided the girl in her confidence, as she was always the bossy, yet lovable one. She was the favourited child, and her siblings knew it, although her mother and father would never admit to it. She was brought up in the small town of Besaçon. Here she was always the most popular kid, and the safety of the community allowed them to roam free with their friends.
Luce’s mother was never the one o work in a muggle workplace, she always stayed at home with her children. When her children outgrew this need, she decided to stay unemployed. There was no real need for her to work, as her husband brought back plenty of galleons. Of course, when the time came, she began to work again, her husband getting her a job at the local pharmacy, as they were in need of Muggle money, because of the community. Soon after she began working here, her boss became sick, un well, and was forced to sell the business. By now, Luce had saved money, and they were able to buy it from him, by paying him in small deposits.
Luce’s father, Piérre, worked as a healer in a French hospital near to a magical community. It wasn’t far from home, and of course, they had the skill of appariation to get there. It didn’t really bother Luce, having a father that wasn’t usually there, as she was a mother’s girl. She loved her Peré, but she got used to not having her around. It was sad really, but Piérre didn’t really care, as he got to spend time with her as well, when her father was working.
Luce’s brother and sister were always a lot closer to each other than she was to her. This may have been because she didn’t really like them, and found them annoying, but she was sure that they thought that about each other too. It was a pretty weird relationship, sometimes she was angry at them, and sometimes they were thick as thieves.
When Luce was 3, her younger sister was born. Emillé was Luce’s best friend, up until the age of six, when Luce began going to school. Maybe this was why they didn’t get along well when they were older, their past wasn’t exactly great. Luce was the one to infect Emillé with dragon pox, and Emillé returned the favor by giving her chicken pox, the muggle disease. They had their ups, and boy did they have their downs.
When Luce was 8 and Emillé was 5, their younger brother was born. Named after his grandfather, Philip, he was the one that was picked on. It was a loving thing of course, a sibling affair, but he still didn’t like it. Luce didn’t care really though, that wasn’t going to stop her. Of course, Emillé stopped, and this is probably the reason as to why they are closer together than Luce has been with any of her family.
There wasn’t any big reason why Luce moved. Her parents were sick of living in a little town, so they moved to Paris. Luce was only 11 at the time, and thought that Paris was incredible. The Eiffel tower was her favourite of course, but living on the outskirts of the city of love, they hardly ever saw it. Luce missed her small little community, but she knew that Besançon didn’t even compare to Paris. This city was going to be a lot of fun.
Soon after settling in here, Luce found herself the subject of bullying. It was just because she didn’t dress like the kids, she wasn’t into the same music and she spoke a different language to the people, not entirely of course, but these city-dweller’s spoke a lot more slang, and Luce found herself confused by the dialect. Of course, by this time, Luce’s eleventh birthday was fast approaching. On the day of this special event, Luce knew what awaited her. The biggest, and the best birthday present of all, a letter inviting her to go to Beauxbatons. She wanted to go so badly, she itched to go. She just wanted to learn magic, and be able to perform it whenever she wanted.
Getting her wand was one of the most exciting parts, but it took a while. She wasn’t sure what would happen when she waved it, but the first few that she tried hadn’t been that good to her. After about three tries at it, Luce was almost reluctant to wave her next one, not knowing that her next try would be her last. Finally, her mother got her to wave it, and a light appeared out of the end. 11 ½” Mahogany with a dragon heartstring core. She felt oh so special, and there was nothing that would take that away.
After four years, when Luce was in her fourth year at Beauxbatons, Luce’s family moved once again, but this time, it was to a place farther away. The United Kingdom. She knew that it was going to be different, but with all the English that she had learnt from classes, she figured that she’d at least have the language down-pat. She couldn’t wait to see what kind of music they listened to, what kind of food they ate, and of course, as any tourist does when they go to another country, their accent. She didn’t know what was going to happen with schooling, but she figured that there would be a magic school somewhere in the United Kingdom that she would be able to attend.
Luce applied for a transfer from Beauxbatons to Hogwarts, where she was happily accepted. This meant the world to the girl, and there was no way that she wasn’t going to go. She didn’t want to forget all her magic lessons now, and there was no point trying to pick up on her math and other subjects again. She was hopeless at that, and really, she didn’t want to find out how bad she was.
After settling into England, and trying to fix her accent so she didn’t sound different to the rest of the population, Luce went to Hogwarts. She was in her fifth year, and was going really well. She was excited, because she got to take her OWLs, and she knew that she would ace them. She was quite smart, and didn’t really have a best subject. She was good at everything, except History of Magic and Astronomy. They really just weren’t her cup of tea.
She was always a good student, and when the time came for her NEWT examinations, she was more than ready for them. She had prepared herself well, and knew that she wasn’t going to do badly, but really she hadn’t thought too much about what she was going to do. At this time, Defense Against the Dark Arts was her best subject (( this is prior to the banning of the subject )) but she had her sights set on becoming a Healer.
When Luce received the marks that she had been hoping on, there was nothing that was going to change her spirit. The seven years that she had spent at magical schools had really paid off, and she was on her way to becoming a Healer. But of course, there were some objections to the girl doing so. Her mother was that of a Hufflepuff, although she never attending Hogwarts. She was caring, and wanted Luce to go into teaching, or something that she'd be able to help people. Luve thought of this as stupid, as healing someone sure did come under helping them. It didn’t put her off at all, despite it having made her fight with her mother, something that rarely ever happens.
After a bit of negotiating, Luce got what she wanted. She had the rest of her family on her side, and her mother wasn’t one to disagree with groups of people. She just couldn’t wait to become an Healer, but the training would have to happen. Soon she’d cross the line, there was just a pit stop first.
Of course, like a lot of muggle students, Luce wasn’t keen on going straight back into training. Instead, she went backpacking over Europe, and visited her hometown again. It was great to see all her friends again, and after a year, she was ready to get back into things. As long as could still be a Healer, she’d be quite happy.
[ Pros and Cons : ]
Pros:
1. Luce is incredibly intelligent. She reads a lot, and loves to write, which is why it was hard for her to choose to be an Healer, which is more on the science side of things.. She has high expectations of herself, but she had small aspirations of being the editor of the daily profit, but she was glad that she chose to be a healer. She can easily just pick up a book and read it from start to finish, but she has to get into it a bit. This is a slight con as well, as she can sometimes over analyze the situation.
2. Luce is athletic and sporty. Ever since she was a kid, she’s been flexible, sporty and fit, but she has made sure that she has kept that attribute in her later life. She figured that when it came to her career she’d need these sort of things, so she trains once a week.
3. Luce has a killer sense of humor. She's always quick to pick up on a pun or a joke, and everybody knows that. Sometimes she can laugh at the stupidest things, but at the best of times, she can be regareded as begin quite witty. She loved the english styled comedies, and would give anything to have that accent; everything sounds funnier when they say it.
Cons:
1. Luce is easily intimidated. Its been something that she's been working on, yes, but it still happens. She was bullied at muggle school and she's never really gotten over that, even though she is quite confident. She can't stand people picking on others, and can't really see why they aren't standing up for themselves which is incredibly hypocritical. When someone stands up to her, she freezes.
2. The blonde is over bearing. Some people just cannot stand this, the way that she is always full of life, and love, and sound of course. She hates it herself; she tries to shut up but the words just come out automatically. She can't not be loud and boisterous, but its just one of those things that happens.
3. Luce is one of those girls that gets jealous easily. She can't see herself has being beautiful, but she can see it in everybody else. When she looks at herself, she can't see perfection, but flaws, flaws that follow her everywhere she goes. This is another thing that she has tried to fix, but she can't. She really needs professional help.

[Writing/Role Playing Example:]
Lucy couldn't believe that she was back in her home town. Besançon was her paradise, she couldn't believe that her parents made her move away from there. She had always wanted to go back, but when she began attending Hogwarts, she knew that the U.K was her hometown now, and there wasn't anything that was going to change that. Luce made a promise to herself that when she was finished with her education, that she'd go back, and visit all her friends. Luce had wanted to evyer summer, but her parents wouldn't allow her to leave. Her sister had began going to hogwarts, but she hated it, and was transferred back to Beauxbatons. Her brother didn't even go to Magic School, he was a squib, and that annoyed Luce.
But here she was, regretting having ever learnt that she was magic, wishing that it was just a dream. Luce didn't like thinking like that, but sometimes she was forced to, and she couldn't help it. She was pessimistic at the moment, that was the way that she was feeling. Luce had hated leaving her friends, and once she had finished at Hogwarts, she was tempted to go back to live. But Luce knew that she couldn't, not after she had made a life in England. That was where she was now, and she couldn't go back on that, not now, not after all that she's done.
Sitting on the train always made Luce feel sick, but this time, she wasn't sure that that was where the nausea was coming from. She was nervous to see her friends again; she didn't even know if they'd remember her. It was six years ago that she moved away, and a lot could have happened in that time. Would her mother's pharmacy still be there, or would there be something else there? Would her house still be standing? Would her friednships still last?
Grabbing her things as the train slowly rolled in to the familiar station, Luce beamed as she saw a group of people standing outside the doors. They were carrying a sign that said Beauvais upon it, but she didn't really recognise them.
They smiled at her as she walked up to them, but no one seemed to notice that she was the beauvais that they were looking for. With a slight chuckle, Luce opened her eyes. "Oh non. Vous ne vous souvenez pas de moi! Ce n'est pas bon! Je suis Luce!" She smiled at them. Saying that they didn't not remember her, and that her name was Luce, they all grinned, remembering the familiar face. "Je suis desolé!" They apologised, one by one giving her a hug.
Boy, was it good to be back home... The only thing Luce was dreading was leaving again.

Luce seems to have the innocent, lovable look down pat. Heck, she mastered that look when she was in preschool.
Luce’s best facial feature is probably her eyes. Blue, and deep as the ocean, Luce has learnt how to use these to the best of her advantages.
Luce hasn’t had any experience in the healing department, nor in the health system at all. Attending Beauxbatons from Year one to Year four(2001 – 2004) and Hogwarts from Year Five to Year Seven (2005 – 2007).
