[ Full Character Name: ] Jane Antigone Anwyl-Beaumanoir

[ Occupation Requesting: ] Store Owner of Maelstrom Art Emporium / Musician
[ Country of Citizenship: ] France / Wales
[ Physical Character Description: ] Jane is nothing like your average girl. She is never one to dress down or wear clothes that let her blend into the crowd. Jane is very unique. Ever since she could talk she always spoke about wanting to color her hair crazy colors. It wasn't till she was in her fifth year at Hogwarts that she finally was able to dye her hair. Since then her hair has been a vibrant pinkish-red. Jane's eyes are bright green, a trait she inherited from her father. Her skin is so pale most think she is translucent, another thing inherited from her father. Jane is of good height, reaching a nice 5'7 and her weight topping off at around 125. Jane's lips are usually set in a smug smirk or a scowl.
Jane is very particular about the way she does her hair and the way that she does her makeup. Her hair is usually done up in to pigtails with her bangs covering her forehead. As for makeup she likes to wear darker colors, giving her a sinister look.
Jane walks with feline grace. She seems as if she is always walking on air. Her movements are as fluid as one would do them in water. Many years of ballet have made her a very graceful being. If she was to be asked, she'd say this is her favorite thing about herself.
Another part of Jane that is very unique is her clothing. She favors a very old approach in her dressings. Corsets, floofy skirts, cameo pins, anything from the Victorian era is something Jane would seriously try to put into her wardrobe. She makes all of her own clothing, some magically and others by hand (or with a sewing machine). Many people who know her think that her choice of clothing is a little weird but when they see who she really is they don't question clothing anymore.
[ Personality Character Description: ] Jane is a true Slytherin. She holds her head high as she stalks the streets of Knockturn Alley. Jane isn't considered mean, in fact she is quite nice. To people she wants to speak to that is. She never lets her true colors out, ever. Most people don't know the real Jane. In reality she is just a normal girl who over years of views being pounded into her head finally broke down and joined the ranks of dark. She is well trained in the arts of Legilimency and Occulmens, making her very useful to both sides of the war.
Jane doesn't trust people at all. They're liars and cheats. How does she know this? Well, she is this person. Everyone lies. Everyone cheats. Everyone steals. This is just a fact you must learn to survive. Her parents were both very deceitful to her and each other so this is how Jane thought people lived. She has learned since that this is not true. Jane is also quite spoiled. She can be see pushing her way down Diagon Alley toward Gringotts or some other place of interest. She has no patients for people who dawdle.
Jane is very intelligent, something that she holds above everything else. She could have been the ugliest girl in the world but she would at least be smart. Gaining knowledge is Jane's true addiction. She spends most of her off hours reading whatever she can get her hands on. The one time during her day that she is truly happy is when she is reading. Catch her at that time to tell her bad news and you might walk away with all of your limbs.
[ History: ] On Halloween 1986 the Anwyl-Beaumanior family welcomed their lovely daughter Jane into the world. Her parents loved their little baby girl and gave her whatever she wanted. Living this way did her no good. She grew up to posh parties and lewd affairs. This was a way of life for people like her. Jane didn't know her parents well as they were carted off to Azkaban when she was only 4, finally punished for their crimes. They both passed away in Azkaban. After that time she was taken care of by her butler, Darius. He was an old man but a very energetic one. He trained her in the fire arts of dark magic and Legilimency. The time with Darius was well spent once she got her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. She arrived there, fresh faced with a deceitful smile intact. With the last names of Anwyl and Beaumanior she was destined to be in Slytherin, which she was.
Her years at Hogwarts were uneventful. She made a small group of friends that many teachers equivocated to the now defunct Death Eaters. Old names always popped up around Jane, names that were also on many wanted lists. No one could convict her of anything as she was never caught with anything. Besides, no one would suspect a firstie! She wasn't creating an army to smite muggleborns, just making sure no one forgot about their view. Many thought after the fall of the dark lord that anti-muggle views died out. Those people were idiots. Jane made sure that people still knew they were there and they weren't as stupid as their forefathers. When Jane was in her 5th year she became a prefect of Slytherin House. She couldn't have been happier. A prefect to mold the minds of little ones in her house? This job wasn't as good as she wanted but it would do. Behind the scenes she told little Slytherins hew views, though not outright. She slowly turned them to her side, just like she was taught.
The rest of her years at Hogwarts went by fast. She never got in trouble with the teachers, who all thought that Jane was the perfect little student. Graduation was a less then joyous affair. No one showed up to see her graduate. Her butler and surrogate father had been found dead in what was now her house. Coming home was also quite the 'joyous affair.' People she didn't even know were coming forth and saying they were her uncle or some other relative that would help her with her affairs. She scoffed at them, leaving her house to take a year long trip to see the world. She didn't leave without putting the proper charms upon her parents house, hiding it from the worlds view.
Her year trip was lovely. She went to Germany, Russia, France, Greece, Finland, and many other countries around the globe. In everyone there seemed to be some sort of family of hers for her to visit. During this time she learned a lot about herself. She even became more tolerant of people, though she would never lose her disgust of muggleborns. She could now tolerate them. Every country she went to she learn all about their magic and new spells. Always new spells. Potions too. She just liked to learn.
Upon arrive home she found everything to be the same. Everyday she would wake up and do nothing. Boring. She she decided to open her own store, a magical art store named Maelstrom in Knockturn Alley. It just on the corner of Knockturn and Diagon so that people on Diagon don't have to venture in far to get quality art.
Jane has been there since then, working whenever she pleases, taking days off when she wants. She still has no charges but She's sure the Ministry is looking into her.
[ Pros and Cons : ]
PROS:
Intelligent: Brains are high on Jane's priority list. She'd rather be ugly then stupid. Jane isn't one to sit around and let someone else do the thinking of said operation, she'll be the one planning the operation. If one wants something done right one must do it on their own, without help. She loved to read as much as a Malfoy loves money. If she's not in her store then she is most likely in Flourish and Blotts looking at the newest book on Charms.
Self-Sufficient: Jane was orphaned at the age of 4. Though she was taken care of by her butler he was still not there all the time. So Jane was forced to learn about life on her own and how to survive. She doesn't need anyone else to help her get along. After her graduation and her butler died she was forever left on her own, but she was already ready for that.
Deceit: If Jane was to be voted for anything in a yearbook she should be voted for being 'Most Deceitful', but no one would know about her deceit! Jane is a master at deceiving people. She knows about how people's mind work and how to manipulate it to her use. Cunning schemes and a fast tongue also help this little snake work her mental magic.
CONS:
Lonely: Jane is very lonely. With the one three parental figures in her life dying in all very mysterious ways she doesn't have many people who want to be around her now. Many distant family members have severed ties with the pink-haired girl. From this betrayal she feels that she doesn't need anyone in her life ever. But she is really saying how much she does need someone to help her.
Violent: Violence is another one of Jane's cons. She doesn't know how to contain her anger sometimes and the only way she can think is to hurt people. She tries to stop this and find other ways to vent but every other one takes too long and she doesn't have enough patience for that.
Selfishness: Being an only child, Jane is quite selfish. She hates when she has to share with anyone else. Her selfishness only extends to material items, not to spotlight. Matter of fact, Jane would rather be in the background then be in the spotlight.
[Credentials:] Opened her store Maelstrom in 2004.

Dark, the sky was dark. Storm clouds were rolling in as Jane walked toward her storefront. Diagon Alley was deserted. Knockturn was just the same. Her green eyes studied her surrounding for a few more seconds until she felt she was everything. Jane always studied everything around her. It was her way of learning. You could always learn from your surroundings.
She took out her wand and after a complicated movement the door popped open, letting Jane in. Inside the dark store art supplies were on every shelf. Paints, pencils, magical photo potion. You wanted, it you could get it. Jane closed the door behind her and with a flick of her wand the candles lit all around her store. The soft light illuminated the store with a nice glow. Smirking slightly she walked over to the check out counter and put her coat and bag under it. She then walked back over to the front door and flipped the sign so it says open. Sighing contently she watched a dirty wizard walk toward her store-front. He opened the door and looked around, most likely looking for her. He finally noticed her and gave her a curt nod.
"Mistress. I have the information you wanted." He was grovelling. She nodded back at him, waiting for the rest of his information before she gave him his payment. He shivered timidly at her nod. He knew what to do when he was with her. "There are quiet murmurs about the plan. The Ministry knows little to nothing about it. You're safe to go ahead with it."
Smiling contently she nodding again and turned toward the counter, the hems of her skirt flowing behind her. The click of her Victorian high heels echoing on the wooden floor as she walked. Reaching over the counter she opened the cash register and pulled out a shiny galleon. She turned back yet again to the wizard and flicked it over to him. He caught it in his grubby hands, kissing it. Her smirk turned to a scowl as she watched him. "You're pathetic." Her voice was dark, cruel. She didn't care. He ran outside the store and deeper into Knockturn Alley.
This was a good start to her day.
