They Cannot Be Serious
(( Above: St. Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies* ))
23 March 2008. St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies. Gringotts Wizarding Bank. The esteemed Ministry of Magic. A year ago from January England was challenged by an illicit terrorist group known only as The Deva. A group that had formally been believed to be nothing more than ignorant teenagers breaching Code Eleven of the Ministry, following a trend for "wizarding purity" that has affected the wizarding community world-wide. And they made quite the statement! Led by Wanted Wizard Robert Shaw, they captured hundreds of our beloved children inside the highly regarded Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry right under our pretty little noses. "We are here!" they shouted, "And you should be afraid."
Perhaps we gave them too much credit.
A year ago we were shaking in our undergarments, entirely dismayed that such a catastrophe could have happened. It was a miracle our children managed to rally their numbers and show this Deva that we will fight back! Now, we are no longer shaking. They are running. And I am laughing at how such a "powerful" organization was run off by mere adolescents.
For over a year they have been licking their wounds and attending to bruised egos. The Wizarding World has been standing by, holding its breath for the next attack. Yet, the summer Music Festival came and went. The Festival of Yule was uneventful. Then, finally!, an answer: one year and a month later (February 2nd)... and we have a trio of Dark Marks scribbled on the side of influential buildings.
One was plastered on the telephone booth entrance to the Ministry of Magic from muggle London, another on the sign to the entrance of St. Mungo's Hospital, and finally a larger one (how so very bold) on Gringotts bank. A whole year to plan, and this is what they have? Oh, yes, I'm still shivering!
For any Deva that might be reading this, consider yourself challenged. I do not believe you have what it takes to be the next big bad wolf to threaten the wizarding world. All of this news buzzing internationally about this dreaded "Voice" and Britain, the super power of the Wizarding Community, gets vandalism! Fear not my fellow witches and wizards, there is no threat here.
