January 25, 2008 Gryffindor vs. Slytherin
Inhaling a deep breath, Alfonz hadn't gotten much sleep the night before. Coughing and scratching, his throat burning and such. He shook his head, figuring that he'd probably caught the bug that was going around, and yet, not wanting to really admit it to himself. After the game, he'd be going to the hospital wing to get something to fix it. What a pain it was to be sick... frankly, he had probably caught it from Celina, but then again, she'd been ignoring him again, so he didn't know. The girl always tended to stay away from him if she was hiding something... it scared him constantly.
Looking around the pitch, the snow was still all over it like it was the day before, but today there was no storm brewing. Light grey clouds covered the day's sky, but it wasn't anything that was too overly threatening, so Alfonz mounted his broom as he did for the previous game and rode around the pitch. It always felt good to ride his broom, no matter if he was sick or not... everything was just at peace when he flew...
Turning around, he could see the players making their way to their locker rooms and he just smirked. This definitely should be an interesting game. After what he'd seen in the last one, between the two of them, Gryffindor and Slytherin just didn't seem to match up. He shook his head. Piece of cake win... he'd put his money on it for sure.

Walking inside the locker room, he noticed he was the only one there. "Dammit!" he screamed. Hating always being first. But he made his way to his locker room, and opened it. Grabbing the equipment, he quickly undressed and equipped the clothing on him. Noticing no one was there, he snickered. "Hehe," he said as he dropped down to do push-ups. Getting prepared for the game. They had lost their first game, but they were not going to lose this one.
"13...14....15...." he said as kept going. "...22.." and he kept going. Not sure how much he could go. He wasn't much of a push-upper.

He was early. Connor looked uneasily around the locker room, not finding it too surprising that he had arrived before his team mates, but still wondering if he should have come so early. He sat himself down on one of the benches and reasoned with himself that someone would show up eventually. He walked over to his designated locker and changed into his Quidditch robes. He removed his broom, leaning it up against the lockers as he sat down again and waited for someone to show up. He peeked out of the lockers into the pitch to see if he could spot anyone. There were some people there, not as many as would normally show up, but he was early. That and it was cold, so less people would make their way down to the pitch. Connor was nervous, after the nightmare of a game they had had last time around, he wasn't sure how the team would fair. He hoped they would do rather well, but he wasn't sure if they could pull it together.

Well today was the day, Slytherin vs Gryffindor and Anna was not in the locker room yet. That was just great, she was the captain and practically her job to get there early. Not even on the pitch yet and already the girl was rushing to get outside. However a light of determination shone bright in Anna's eyes as she made her way outside to the lockers. After losing against Hufflepuff the captain really wanted to make a statement wither her team and beat the snakes. Running into the room, she was already panting, there was her warm up for today. Meanwhile Tristan was already inside doing push-ups but the gryff did not pay to much attention to what her boyfriend was doing at the moment.
"Hey Tristan." Anna said quickly going to her locker and getting changed. "Now how is it you are the one who got here before me?" she continued while throwing on her gear.

The snow had been distracting Felicity, her eyes were stuck to the lightly covered ground. With as many distractions as her mind had been taking hold of lately, she was surprised Anna had changed up the team so she was now playing a new position, one she hadn't ever before. She was nervous, excited, frightened out of her mind, distracted, confused, and still not feeling too well, but she refused to believe she was ill. With Christmas kind of canceled thanks to Raynor, Felicity's heart wasn't really into being at Hogwarts. Not with the anniversary of what happened one year prior looming around the corner, so close and she hadn't seen her family since summer holidays.
However, the lightly coloured brown eyes finally looked up when she realized just where she'd approached, as she didn't want to accidentally wander into the wrong locker rooms. Sighing heavily, Felicity entered, threw a small smile at her captain and Tristan both, then found her locker and quickly pulled her quidditch robes over her head. Hopefully her distraction and her nerves wouldn't beat her out and she'd win the battle of her stomach. One thing was for certain, she wasn't ready to go flying all over the pitch in search of a tiny little golden ball with wings that fluttered faster than anything she'd seen in her life. It'd make her dizzy and she didn't want to be dizzy and in the end up being extremely ill all over the game, players, and anything else within the distance of her.
Instead, she swallowed her nerves as well as she could and sat down on the bench, waiting for Anna to give the go ahead for them to head out onto the pitch and start the game.

To put it simple, the last game had to be the worst game Slytherin ever had and the house was not quite thrilled about that. However today the game was against the lions and by what Claire heard they were not a push over team even if they did lose to the Hufflepuffs. Trudging in the snow the young snake made her way from a very light breakfast in the great hall to the quidditch pitch with butterflies going about her stomach. Well, at least it wasn't actually snowing outside or that would make flying a little bit harder. But that was not what was eating her really. Claire was sick as much as she didn't want to admit it, even the rash on her arm was getting worse.
Entering the Slytherin locker room the twelve year old saw Connor. Heart sinking slightly the girl looked around again but there really was no one else inside. "Hi Connor" she greeted before going over to the locker and changed into emerald green robes. Oh, I really hope I can play well in the mess that I'm in. But if I go to the nurse she would forbid me from playing at all. It did no good worrying but Claire just could not help it as the game crept closer to starting time.

Chris dragged his feet into the locker room. He was feeling very badly and he didn't understand completely why Jethro had quit the team. Was it that bad of a rep if you lose to Hufflepuff? Well, whatever it was, Chris was certain he'd be playing today and for this reason, he slumped himself onto the bench facing his locker. With a heaviness to his movements, Chris opened his locker and withdrew the Nimbus 2001 he'd been able to adopt from the school. It was better than those ancient Cleansweeps.
Anna and Tristan were there already, and he waved a half-hearted hello to them both as he had entered. Putting on the uniform, Chris felt the itchiness in his nose grow until it exploded into a tremendous sneeze. 'Great! It's the biggest match of my life and I'm sick as a dog.' Chris sat down as his head began to spin. Maybe playing wasn't the best idea?

Tallulah got up early to make sure she didn't miss the call for the game. She had the worst case of jitters she had ever had. Tal paced her in dormitory for a few minutes before she even made it to the Great Hall. Once she got there she slowly found her way to the Slytherin table and grabbed a few pieces of toast. She could only eat two pieces before feeling like she was going to throw up.
As she got up to find her way down to the Quidditch pitch she waved at the rest of her table, smiling feebly. It felt like an hour passed when she finally found the pitch and their locker room but when she looked at her watch only 15 minutes had passed. With a sigh of exasperation she made her way into the locker room.
Two of her house mates were already in there. She didn't really know them at all. She walked over to the place that had her gear in it and started to change. She was ecstatic that she got on the team. She may not have looked it but she loved to play Quidditch. She was usually a chaser, but since she changed schools Keeper sounded quite fun.
Her eyes found her broom, the latest model, top of the line Supernova 3000. Her fingers gripped the handle, feeling the cold wood beneath. She smiled, turning to her team mates. "How are we all doing?"

Kari was nervous for several reasons, one not only that it was game day but she was going to be playing keeper this time instead of chaser. Not exactly her best position to play like chaser but being seeker or beater would have been even worse. Their captain changed a few positions for the team so hopefully it would turn out well. Actually, she dearly hoped she wasn't that bad of a keeper but only time would see to that. At least Kari did not get dragon pox which according to mum and dad she already had it. But that didn't stop the two from being upset that their only daughter could not come home for the holidays.
Walking outside through the light snow, Kari took a few calming breaths before entering the Gryffindor locker room. So far there was the captain, Felicity, Tristan and Chris which was not bad since that was most of the team. However the girl then noticed some of her teammates were not exactly in the highest of spirits. 'Oh, I hope they aren't sick or anything.' she thought. "Hello everybody!" she greeted and went over to her locker to get changed.

Emeric hadn't eaten much this morning, he didn't think he could keep any amount of food down for a long period of time. The game was the only thing that had been on his mind for a week. He was good at the position of chaser, and figuring that along with Connor, the only other chaser, they could do alright. At first Em found the sixth year to be rather annoying, his niceness just.. well annoying to the fourth year. But they made an alright team. They were the only chasers for their house, so they didn't have much of a choice. It appeared that several of the school's teams were having trouble filling their quidditch rosters this year. That was primarily his reasoning for joining the team in the first place, he didn't think he could take another loss for Slytherin house like the last match. It was terrible, to be quite frank. Terrible to watch, agonizing to watch Ravenclaw team beat them to shreds. It was just... bad for him, and he hadn't even been on the team at that time.
Em made his way down to the quidditch pitch, preparing himself for the game. He was glad that he wasn't one of the sick ones, it would be terrible to fly while feeling ill. He allowed himself entrance into the locker room and gave a smile to his team mates who were there, Connor, Tal, and Claire. Only four of them there? He guessed the other members of the team were waiting a bit before coming down to the locker room. He walked over to Tal, giving her a grin and saying, " Ready for the game? "

"Because hero's aren't late, darling," he said winking at her while he was doing a push-up.
He then turned around to lay flat on his back, then kicked up into the air and landed on his feet firmly. He then walked over to the Entrance and opened up the door a little. He looked around the stadium, and utterly could hear the chatter going around. He then closed the door. He looked at the team and walked over to his locker and grabbed his broom.
Without saying anything to anybody, he went ahead and walked towards the doors and waited. He sat down infront of the door, facing his back to the team.
Just waited.
Cough.

Matty had always made a habit of attending the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin game. She wasn't really one for house rivalry, but to be totally honest, the Hufflepuff wouldn't miss this game for the world. She likes to see if both teams tried even harder because it was the Lions and Snakes, and the outcome was always interesting. Besides... she was a Captain of her own team, and that meant the girl needed to watch others games, right? She knew that Charlie and Anna both were great Captains, and the younger girl knew their methods may be valuable to look at from a spectators point of view. So really, there were a couple of reasons why she was here today.
The teenager hadn't really decked out in the ways of support clothing, for she simply wore her black converses, gray skinnies, a loose v-neck shirt, a gray cardigan that went a bit below her waist, and a green scarf and gray knitted beanie. Yes, she was going for Slytherin this year. Lats year had been a bit of a mix for the girl, as he boyfriend and best friend had been on opposing teams, but this year Matty's loyalty lied only with the snakes for the first time. This was mainly because she had promised Emeric she would be there to watch his game. Everyone was still oblivious to just how close they were, and luckily enough, there was nothing too suspicious about her supporting Slytherin. She had others friends from the house, and a couple (including Conner) on the team. Matty arrived at the pitch a bit before the game by-passing both locker rooms and taking a high seat up on the stands. She didn't mind sitting on her own, and she wouldn't mind if anyone joined her either. She was here for Em, and the game. Though no one was aware of the first of the two.

Drew ran up to the spectator stands, using his long legs to take the steps two, sometimes three at a time. Usually clad in something blue, he had opted for red this morning, wearing his crimson sweatshirt and even going so far as to paint his face in Gryffindor colors. Though one of his best friends was captaining the other team, there should be no doubt who the Ravenclaw was rooting for this day.
He found a good spot right in front and leaned far over the rail, whooping loudly out towards the pitch though the game hadn't even started. "GO GO GRYFFINDOR!"

With a whistle blown and the balls released, Alfonz Jedynak started the end of the second round of games, hoping for a quick end. He was planning on going to the hospital wing after to visit his sister, although, as he was planning on it yesterday, Alfonz just didn't know if he actually would or not. She had said a few words to him in her delerium that he didn't want coming out in front of anyone who wasn't welcomed into their business. Seeing her suffer, as well, wasn't one of his favorite things to do... but she was by herself, and again, Alfonz found himself thinking more about Celina than the actual game at hand.
The two teams were in the air and flying around playing the quidditch game. One team neared the other's goal rather quick and Alfonz made sure there were no rules broken. That was the job of the ref after all... for he would be soon promoted, or at least he thought he would be since the absence of his boss was by now, obvious.

It was almost boring. Felicity had been given a new position to learn, had somersaults being performed by her nervous butterflies, and was almost bored just waiting for a glimpse of something that would tell her the position of the little golden ball she was in search of. However, her brown eyes were so focused on the movement of the quaffle she wasn't paying as much attention to what she should have been looking for, and she knew it. The blonde liked moving, enjoyed the ability to swerve in and out of the grasp of others, knowing they were chasing or she was to gain possession of the large red ball.
Every now and then her eyes drifted around the pitch, by command of her mind telling her to keep an eye out for it was possible the seeker of Slytherin would beat her to the snitch, making her a horrible player for her team. The fact of the matter was she was kind of afraid to be the seeker. But even though she wanted to be a good one, her broom drifted and she jerked every time she saw the ball intercepted by the other team. She knew a few of the members, Charlie, Artemis, Connor all of which she considered friends, but she knew they were technically like an enemy at this point. And Artemis was a good seeker, at least from whatching the games she thought he was. It was tough to go up against, but she was ready to.
