Accepted! Welcome to Hogwarts.
[ Full Character Name: ] Abigail Charlotte Greenwater
[ Character Gender: ] Female
[ Country of Citizenship: ]Efail Isaf ,Rhondda Cynon Taff ,Wales
[ Physical Character Description: ]
Abigail is just your average girl. Her hair is naturally brown but with a few spells (coaxed out of her mother)she changed it to a dark reddish/brown. Her hair falls down to her mid-back and is usually left hanging to its own accord, but sometime Abigail will pull it up as to not tangle it. Her skin is stark white, contrasting with her hair. She, like many other kids of the day have a ongoing fight with acne. She does use some potions as a quick fix but sometimes they get away and she has a nice blotch on her face. Light grey eyes sit on her face, something she gets from her mother's side of the family. Same with her nose which is small and very ordinary. Make up is also something she doesn't really use. A little eyeliner in the morning and Abby is good. It is all useless to a girl like her. If she could change anything about her body is the dark circles that plague her every morning. She may get a full night of sleep, but these purple rings of doom just seem to keep coming back.
Looking well groomed and nice means a lot to Abby. She believes that what people see is the most important thing to them. She doesn't believe that herself, but for everyone else it is how it is.
When she is standing she is reaches a good 5'3, but she wishes she was taller. Same with her weight. She is about 120-125 and she wishes she was smaller, but really can't do much about it when you have a love of food like she does. Abby is a little pudgy, but she is not overweight in anyway. As for clothes she adores muggle clothes. Her wardrobe consists of plain jeans (usually straight leg), tee shirts, and sweaters/hoodies. Her shoes on the other hand are something she does splurge on. Cowboy boots, colorful sneakers, glittery flip-flops, you name it she has something close to it.
[ Personality Character Description: ]
Abigail is shy in general. She doesn't try to stand out in the crowd. She'd rather not stand out in the crowd. When someone stands out people look to them for answers and many other things she doesn't have. Abby would rather just follow quietly in the background. In social situations she freezes up and has no idea what to do or say. It's as if someone taped her mouth shut. Abby would rather watch people and see what they're doing and try to copy them in hopes for some sort of idea. In the end she is socially awkward.
When she was ten some of her friends turned on her and gave her up to the police she changed. She was a lot less trusting after this and much more keen to make enemies rather then friends. She didn't (and still doesn't) believe she needs many friends. All she wants is a few people who she can trust and can confined in.
When you do break through her quiet shell she can be a very talkative and interesting person. She likes to see her friends happy and will do almost anything for them to be happy.
[ History: ]
Abigail Charlotte Greenwater was born on October 31st, 1993 in Wales. Around the same time she was adopted by Darius and Ava Greenwater. Her mother was Ava's twin sister who (with her father) were sent away to Azkaban when Abigail was only two years old. They treated her well, doting on her like any parent/guardian would of their child. During her early years she spent much of her time in her house playing with various wizarding toys and with other children of pure blood. Her adopted parents were maniacs about pure blood. She was only allowed to play with children who they though were pure enough to be with her. A kid was just a kid to her.
When she was ten her aunt and uncle had their first child, a boy named Marcus. Abigail couldn't have been happier about this. Someone for her to play with? Her aunt would give her small tasks to help her around the house with little Marcus and Abby would do them without a whine. Life couldn't be any better. In that same year she was introduced to a group of children who's parents had the same view as hers. They would hang out all the time. Little did she know that these children were brought together for a more sinister reason. All of their parents were either Death Eaters or the offspring of Death Eaters.
When they would hang out they were allowed to roam free in her town and wreck havoc wherever they went without reprimand. Something about their freedom when it came to this really rang with her. She felt powerful, invincible, and yet thoughts of the horrible things she was doing never even crossed her mind.
That all came to an end when one night they were caught doing something stupid (vandalizing a building). The police came and all of her friends turned on her, pointing their greedy fingers at her. She couldn't say anything. What they had to say against her was too great. Abby just bowed her head in shame and let herself be taken away.
Her parents were furious. How could their daughter slip up? Well in reality she wasn't theirs, but they forgave her. She was only ten. After that she stopped hanging out with other kids. Abby would rather stay at home, a place where no one would turn on her.
When it came time for schooling there was only one place for her, Hogwarts. Everyday that summer she would wait near her bedroom window for her owl. She was like a gargoyle, silently waiting. If her letter hadn't come she would probably still be there, waiting.
[ Pros and Cons: ]
1) Abigail is very good at reading people for who they are. Years of being shunned and left behind by others have given her a good idea about people and how they act.
2) Abby is very studious. Studying is very important to her. Ever since her arrest she makes sure all of her work is done and done properly. Abigail wants to make something of herself one day.
3) Once she gets to know someone she cares, truly cares about them. Nothing will get in her way if they're hurt, scared, or anything else. Abby is fiercely protective of her friends.
CONS:
1) Abigail freezes up in social situations, especially with boys. It is like she has no control over her body. Her instinct is to fun and hide in the bushes.
2) Abby thinks everyone is lying to her about being her friend. After the accusal of her by her "friends" when she was ten she doesn't believe anyone anymore.
3) Abigail is deathly afraid of spiders. Get her within ten feet of one and she will run in the other direction screaming like a banshee or will hex the closest person to her into oblivion. Whichever works for her.
[ Role Playing Example: ]
Abigail ran down the hallway without looking back. She had to get out of there at any cost. At. Any. Cost. She glanced to both sides, seeing only windows and no escape route unless she wanted to throw herself out of a window. Which she didn't. She just wanted to get away from the beast she found in her room. Colors whizzed past her without showing their shapes as she ran at breakneck speed away from an unused classroom.
Abby felt her chest tighten up, a sure sign she had run far enough away. As she stopped she bent over, breathing in and out quickly. In, out, in, out. She finally regained her breath and looked back toward the way she ran. A small chucked escaped her lips. She couldn't believe she ran that far that fast.
"Well, I guess I should go back. Maybe if I just don't look in that corner I'll be able to get my stuff and get away again." With that she turned back and started toward the classroom again. All of that running and fright for one spider. One. Spider.
