[ Full Character Name: ] Chloe Archer
[ Character Gender: ] Female
[ Country of Citizenship: ] Wick, Scotland
[ Physical Character Description: ] Chloe has round, almond shaped eyes that are of a warm hazel color with small flecks of mossy green around her pupil. Her hair is a dark shade of brown although she tends to highlight it with sandy brown streaks. The shorter strands fall to the base of her shoulders whilst the longer strands go down to her midback. Her hair is naturally wavy and can be seen in many forms, from frizzy to as straight as an arrow. It is usually left hanging down about her face or pulled back into an alluring method. Ever since she was a child, Chloe has always had a short yet athletic figure. She now stands at 5 feet 1 1/2 with a strong frame and small curves. Her skin is of a very fair complexion, almost ghostly with a small smattering of freckles on the bridge of her nose and cheeks.
Chloe has a heart-shaped face with a petite nose and full lips. Her cheekbones are not that high but when she smiles, a small dimple can be seen on each side of her face. Her forehead is said to be small by others but it is actually quite large, this is because of her fringe which usually falls on her forehead and covers 1/4 of her face. Chloe's attire consists of mostly bright, bold and colorful clothing. Other then her school uniform and robes, she can usually be caught in long flowing gypsy skirts and a tank top, khakis jeans, baby doll dresses and really anything from the 60's or Bohemian chic. She's a fan of accessories but doesn't really over accessorize. A chain necklace and diamond studs in her ears are just fine. The only types of shoes she wears are flats and her make-up consists of eye-liner, light eye-shadow and lip palm.
[ Personality Character Description: ] Chloe is quite the clever young lady. She is very sharp and quick-witted, always the first to understand a certain concept or method. When people look at her, they tend to judge her more by her appearance. They would never think she was ever intelligent. She extends her knowledge way beyond the mere book knowledge that most Ravenclaws become so caught up in. She is independent and prefers to make her way through the journey called life on her own, never wanting assistance or even suggestions from others. She has always known what she wants and how to get it. Chloe is very kind and gentle, making herself available for others when they most need her. She is very passionate about things she likes. If she is in a certain mood, that mood is expressed so beautifully that you wish you could just be by her presence when it happens.
Chloe is not the type of person who likes to see someone suffering or hurt; she goes out of her way just to make them feel better. Sometimes she's such a perfectionist that if things don't go her way or she can't fix something, she completely loses it. She goes on this sort of strike, which she spends just trying to find the answer of a question, no matter how long it takes; most of her mind is just focused on that. When Chloe chooses her friends, she does not look at their appearance, background or abilities but how interesting they are. She is not one to join social clubs but prefers socializing with people she stumbles by.
She has a wild heart and is quite mischievous, especially her cleverness which gets her into it. Although she doesn't want it to happen, she often finds herself in the middle of an argument with a professor concerning a lesson or with a student, trying to prove them wrong. Chloe has always seen herself as right and others wrong, so when a time comes that she is proved wrong; a fiery temper inside her forms with a rude attitude towards them. She is a loyal friend and has always stood by the sides of whom she holds dearest to her heart. Chloe is very open about her feelings and outgoing, though this does not mean that she is bubbly and happy all the time. The girl likes to have fun and will not allow anyone to ruin that. She is also very ambitious, allowing nothing to come in her way of success.
[ History: ] Chloe was born in the small sea-side town of Wick, Scotland. Her parents, Leslie Finlay and Ross Archer were both from upper-class Pure-blooded families. They'd met at a small gathering hosted by a friend and were instantly attracted to each other, so it wasn't a surprise when they'd got married the very next year. Both families were not the type of Pure-bloods who wanted to have no contact with muggles or muggle-borns. They enjoyed their company and instead of hiding away in the wizarding community of Wick, they joined the muggle one and took on muggle careers. Making sure to never reveal their true identities. Ross worked as a merchant who was always off on business and Leslie was a nurse at the local hospital. The careers both took weren't ones that had a high paying salary, and since both the Finlay and Archer family were well known as rich people, their parents had chipped in; making them one of the richest people living in the muggle community of Wick.
Chloe was not their first child. Before her, Amanda had given birth to a baby boy that was the exact replica of Ross and two years after him, she gave birth to a baby girl that was the exact replica of her. Five years had passed and the small family remained the same, they were living in a beautiful cottage just off the coast and were doing very well. Both children, Vanora and Monroe were attending a muggle elementary school till it was time for them to attend Hogwarts. Amanda had started to get morning sickness everyday with a wave of nausea, giving out the sign that she was pregnant once again. On a cold December night, Chloe was born. She did not have her parent’s features of blonde hair and blue eyes but had taken on the genes of her mothers parents instead.
There was no doubt that Chloe was a beautiful girl, even as a toddler. She grew up a happy child with days spent playing with her siblings and mother, although she didn't see much of her father; a day when he came home from work was a joyful one. The time came when Vanora and Monroe were done with their primary schooling and had to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. Chloe didn't want them to leave and her being at such a young age, cried greatly when they'd left. Monroe was in his Third Year whilst Vanora in her First. With her mother working double shifts at the hospital and her father usually out of town, Chloe was left home alone with a nanny who took care of her, became like her second mother.
Her nanny, Bonnie was a kind elderly lady who took care of Chloe for most of her childhood. She had taught her all the things she would need in life and had raised her into quite the young lady. When Chloe had started to develop strange abilities at a young age, Bonnie was scared for the child because she was a muggle, unaware of the wizarding world. She'd informed Leslie and Ross about it but only received a sigh. Not wanting to let out their secret, they made up a story of how Chloe had a medical condition and it would be best if the nanny left.
Bonnie had left with a sad heart, an urge of wanting to go back; always with her. Chloe was devastated when she'd left but had managed to move on with her life. No one knew where Bonnie had gone and if she'd ever come back. At the age of eleven, Chloe received a letter asking her to attend Hogwarts.
Even though Chloe left home, confident that she would do well. It didn't happen. Her First Year started off with a disaster, since she only knew a little bit about Wizarding History and wasn't really a good with others who started discussing it. The school was like an endless maze for her, making Chloe late for lessons and lose points for her house because of it. Even the simplest spells were tricky for her and the writing of essays for certain ingredients of a certain potion, left her in a mess. She wasn't really capable of doing the things, the other First Years in her class could do. She returned home for the summer with a heavy heart. During the summer, she'd regained her confidence with little pep talks which she gave to herself and started preparing. She read books and books concerning other wizarding topics which she'd gotten from her mother and even the books she needed for school.
Once her second year began, things started to look easier. She'd finally got familiarized with the school corridors and spells were much easier to learn and perform. Chloe had a couple of friends which she hung out with during the break and slowly started communicating with a variety of students in her year. As she returned home for the summer, her heart was no longer heavy but had lifted up due to her progress. In her Third Year, a few of her professors had taken a liking to the young girl and encouraged her to maybe join some clubs available in the school so she could meet new people. Chloe had done exactly that. She'd taken an interest in the wizarding sport of Quidditch and spent most of her breaks watching the people who were on the school teams’ play.
Her Fourth year seemed to have both positive and negative events. She was now one of the top students in her classes. During the summer, she'd asked her mum if she could get her a broom and she'd ended up with a Firebolt. She'd learned how to fly better and took an interest in the position of Keeper. Although, many great things seemed to happen; this was the time when her trait of ambition slowly started to take over. So deep into what she wanted to accomplish, she failed to notice the presence of her friends and lost some really good ones. Her Fifth seemed to be the exact replica of her Fourth.
Chloe is now going into her Sixth year.
[ Special talents/knacks : ] She has a lot of faith in herself and others, always trying to be the one to be there for a person when they most needed her. Not only has she helped others with it but it has also carried her in life, just like a best friend that has her back. Her talent in writing poetry which has opened many doors for her, each one leading to a new couplet or quote that gives her a more understanding of her purpose in life and how she has to deal with it. She is brilliant in her studies, both practical and mind work. Her interest in the wizarding sport of Qudditch has made her quite the Keeper, she may not have the body of one but the strength and skills she does.
Everything must be perfect, no crookedness allowed, no specks of dust, laundry lying around, food left out. She wants to make her surroundings so perfect that she fails to notice how others are going to feel about it. Chloe is sometimes a strong judge of character through her thoughts, when she firsts meets someone, to her their first impression must be good because that is the impression she will hold of them. If they're slob when she'd first met hem, that person will always be 'The girl who's a slob' to her. Even though she can control her emotions, she has yet to control her drive in wanting to succeed in being the best. Somewhere in her body, there is a part of her which is weak and won't allow her to stop herself when she's gone too far or crosses the limit.
[Role Playing Example:] Chloe walked down the cobbled stone path with rose bushes growing at its sides. Her head was bent down, concentrating on a blank page of her notebook clutched in one hand. The other hand held the watering can which she'd borrowed from inside to do her gardening services. The can was titled forward, pouring fresh water through its holes and onto the roses. The day was bright with the warm beams of the sun casting itself on all the inhabitants situated outside.
She felt the freckles on the bridge of her nose begin to multiply due to the sun but continued on. When the rays had started to get to her and Chloe could slowly feel herself getting dizzy. She quickly retreated over towards a willow tree and plopped down at its base. A light breeze came by and brushed against her face, as the soft rustling of the briar tree above filled her ears. Overhanging foliage dipped down towards her, sheltering her from the blazing hot sun. Chloe gazed up at the pattern of boughs and breathed in the scent of leaf and bark, the atmosphere was just perfect.
She brought her notebook and placed it on her crossed legs. The page from before was still blank and she felt as if this would be the perfect time to start writing. Bringing out a quill from the inside of her robe pockets, she put quill on paper and began to write. Since her head was down, her brown locks had fallen in front of her face and it would have been impossible for someone to recognize who she was.
Ending the poem with a full stop, she recited it to herself and sat back; leaning her head against the rough exterior of the trunk.
