A storm was on its way, the clouds in the sky gave no chance for another to think any way but. Looming just beyond the horizon were gray skies, nothing but a dreary colour waiting to take over what were the lands of Hogwarts, sending many running inside. It was hilarious in a way, to see so many bodies scampering in, grabbing up their papers and pens and wands, holding onto their dear friends, glaring or staring in awe at what was on its way. According to The Daily Prophet it was going to be the storm of the century, bringing winds that haven't howled in hundreds of years, pelting rains that were to leave nothing but damaged living quarters in its wake. Felicity couldn't wait.
Calmly wandering about the castle, listening to the news reports students were able to get, the chatter between ghosts, and just taking in the activity was making her restless. It'd been nearly ages since she'd had a good time outdoors, had planned on going for a swim earlier that morning, not having known anything about the coming storm until one of her classmates mentioned it in Potions earlier that day. In fact, she was almost as excited about the incoming weather as others were shying away from the outdoors.
That afternoon, she found herself wandering, outdoors. What plans she had were not going to be ruined by a storm, how many times had she sat outdoors and watched them come? What wasn't fun about lightening cracking through the sky, thunder rippling, and water finding gravity hard to beat in sheets as it hailed down? It would be something to do, homework was caught up and she was rather ill of the library. The common room had become too crowded as she sat with a book up there, finding the games of exploding snap to be distracting from the story.
As it was, the pretty blonde managed to find her way to the lake, where she sat upon the edge, long legs dangling in the cool water, facing what a few others were running from. Hilarious indeed. Graham cracker brown eyes took in the rush of activity, keeping mind of what creatures lived in the depths of the water she was partially submerged in. At least if she sat out here long enough, she could get the quiet she searched for, or perhaps a fling of her own activity she rather longed for.

And stars may collide..."
