Emma strode into the Great Hall with a purpose behind each step. Feeding time was turning out to be her favorite time of the day. Even if there were designated times to eat each meal. That had confused her in the beginning, she had not understood why there was a specific time for lunch and a specific time for dinner. Everyone got hungry at their own time, they couldn't exactly control when they wanted to eat. However, she had learned that eating lunch early was pretty much out of the question unless her class right before it got out early. Highly doubtful.
The hour of dinner was upon them and Emma was one of the first people in the Great Hall. The skies were dimming outside of the windows and there were only one or two professors that had trickled in so far. Taking a seat at one of the grand tables, she wondered exactly what she would want to eat tonight. There were always so many options to chose from that she sometimes had a hard time deciding.
Tonight the young Gryffindor was stuck between a few options that could easily satisfy her. However, she was temporarily distracted from narrowing down her options by what was taking place at the end of the hall. Her dark brown hair flew through the air as her head swung in the direction that the noise was coming from.
Rising up a bit from her seat on the bench, she tried to get a better look at the commotion that seemed to be taking place. It was exciting that something was breaking the normal monotony that was Hogwarts meal time.
