[ Physical Character Description: ]
Celina Icelyn Jedynak has dark brown (almost black) sometimes wavy hair that reaches the middle of her back that flows gracefully along side the circular figure of her face when she’s allowed to wear it down. Mostly, if seen in public, Celina’s hair is tied tightly back into a bun behind her head, sometimes escaping would be a strand in the front, but rarely so. She has no bangs that fall from her forehead, for she has to keep all of her hair at the same even length. Above her eyes are thin, naturally even brows. Her eyes are the color of dark chocolate, and just as rich but when one looks into them, the young girl that used to be seen has long disappeared and now what shows through are a hard and buried individual. Emotions seems to run endless within them, and yet, are indescribable from one emotion or another.
When she smiles, a small dimple appears on her cheek just below her left eye, and other than the dimple Celina’s face is uniquely symmetrical. This is one feature that helped her become what she is today. Molded into the perfection within the eye of the pureblood lines. Celina Jedynak at the age of seventeen has seen too much for a young girl, and knows less than what she should for someone who hardly has control over her own life.
When it comes to appearances, Celina is always in her nicest clothing purchased by her father after the summer following her sixth year. Long dresses that cover most skin that could be seen, and robes that are made of the finest cloth materials. Highly ineffective for anything but showing oneself off. At school however, she wears the same uniform as everyone else, except there's just something about them that makes her stand out more. Made of also fine materials, they're crisper and bolder, making a statement that she could never make with herself.
Without shoes Celina stands about 5’ 6”. She’s thinner than what she should be, and when it comes to body type she’s lost what hour glass shape she used to have to more of a straighter figure. From the stress and wear that life has had on Celina recently, her body has begun to show the tolls. Celina isn’t sickly, but almost looks as if she could be soon.
[ Personality Character Description: ]
Right back into her self, Celina Jedynak has been trained to speak only when spoken to. It only seems the young woman actually talks or converses with that of her school connections (friends her mother has told her to retain for future reference) and her cat, Emerald. At first glance this appearance also makes her look as if she's stuck up, and acting better than everyone she comes into contact with. In turn, however, it's just her way of protecting not only herself but her family name as well. Since the summer of '08 (what year are we even in?) Celina cowers more than normal, usually hiding behind that of her brother in large crowds (when they are actually seen out and about together) and she keeps to herself, afraid of who could be watching and what could be over heard if she was to say anything.
The only time that Celina Jedynak seems at ease is when she is playing her harp, or taking care of her studies. It's at that point where the young woman is comfortable and doesn't fear anything. It's a time when she can think and be as close to the girl she used to be. It's also a time where appearance isn't everything and the pureblood name she carries doesn't matter as much as if she were in public.
Celina has a very low self esteem and does as she's told to do. She's a sheep, and probably one of the best that anyone could find themselves being when there is no apparent way out of the situation at hand. No matter what she had ever wanted, it no longer matters. Celina has been conditioned in a way to where her life does not matter, only the pureblood cause does... and producing a male heir. Other humans are also not her concern, and making them as such, would be to go against not only her father, but her family name and position in life as well.
[ History: ]
After graduating from Hogwarts, Elizabeth Rose Buckley, was hired as a Healer as St. Mungo’s Hospital. During one of her regular work shifts, she was permitted to heal a professional Quidditch player by the name of Feliks Henryk Jedynak. Unfortunately, due to the extent of the damage done to the Quidditch player’s right arm, it was unable to be completely healed ultimately ending his career.
From that day on, Feliks worked as an assistant Healer within the walls of St. Mungo’s hospital. The longer Feliks worked at St. Mungo’s, the closer he and Elizabeth got as friends and soon after that they stepped up their relationship to lovers and eventually became married. It was, as some have called it within the hospital, your typical patient/Healer relationship.
After their marriage, Feliks moved on to more exciting and higher paying job. He became an Auror for the Ministry of Magic. After about a year of living on the salary of an Auror and a Healer, the two decided to have their first child. In 1986, Elizabeth gave birth to Alfonz Tytus Jedynak.
A few years later in 1992, Elizabeth gave birth to their second child: Celina Icelyn Jedynak.
Because of Celina’s age difference from her brother it always seemed like she was living in his shadow. He always had the top grades, the best manners, and the most accomplishments. No matter what she did, it was never enough for her father. When he was accepted to a magical institute, he was accepted not only by Hogwarts, but also Durmstrang where their father had gone when he was growing up. Because of this, their parents (father) decided to send him to the Durmstrang Magical Institute for his education. However, when it was Celina’s turn to attend a school she was only accepted to Hogwarts.
She was fine with this, but her father on the other hand took this as a direct disappointment. It was as if she didn’t portray herself well enough to make it into the same school as her all-star quidditch playing brother did. He was following in their father’s footsteps while Celina could never seem to match up no matter what she did. In response, she looked towards others for comfort and guidance because she felt that if she did anything without consulting another first she’d be a big disappointment to anyone who she cared about.
The only true friend that she’s ever had was her black cat named Emerald, named for her eyes were just as green as emeralds. Celina had once been showed the jewels by her mother once when they were out jewelry shopping in the muggle parts of London. The memory of it was one of Celina’s only fond memories, and so Emerald carried with her black coat, already a fondness that Celina always would treasure. Celina found Emerald as a kitten curled up in a ball in a small box on a side street of London, while taking a walk one day to clear her head.
BACKSTORY OF EMERALD:
Her and her father had gotten into another fight about how she wasn’t living up to the Jedynak name like her brother had been at Durmstrang. She ended up running out of their house crying fleeing to the muggle streets of London. She had been down the streets only a few times before, wondering when there was no one at home to talk to or play with. It was probably the only thing Celina had ever done that was against her father’s wishes. As she walked through the streets with her head down, she walked into a dark alleyway wondering if anyone would care if she didn’t return home that night. That was when she found the box. Emerald was the runt of a cat litter that no one wanted; curled up in a ball barely alive, Celina knew that she had to return home in order to save the cat’s life.
Since that point in time the two were inseparable, and she could talk hours on end to the cat knowing that Emerald would always be there to listen to her and comfort her in no way that she had found another person to comfort her. They went everywhere Celina could take Emerald without getting into trouble.
To Emerald, Celina was everything and her lifesaver; and to Celina, Emerald was everything and her reason for hope.
Through her time spent at Hogwarts, Celina grew into a beautiful and intelligent girl always second-guessing herself in everyway possible. She worked towards goals such as Prefect and Head Girl, only to never obtain any such position of authority. Her father would always be disappointed, and she’d always take the fall for it. Not even her brother’s overlooking and overprotective presence at her school could watch out for her as much as Alfonz wished he could have.
HISTORY CONTINUED:
SCHOOL YEARS:
SCHOOL YEARS:
Celina was a shy and lonesome girl when she began her years at Hogwarts. Until her fifth year, the brunette always lingered off in her own world, content that her cat would be her one and only friend, and that her studies would one day get her somewhere in life, that her personality didn’t. It was for that reason and that reason alone that she made no effort to make friends, nor did she really have any sort of social life other than her homework and playing her musical instrument, the harp.
However, as her fifth year began, all would change. A young woman by the name of Felicity Hjort entered the boundaries of not only Hogwarts, but also Celina’s life and like a parasite, took hold and quite literally wouldn’t let go. It had become Felicity’s mission to make Celina Jedynak her friend, and when Celina finally broke down, giving into the whim of the girl that most people were attracted to, they did in fact become friends; but not only just friends, best friends.
The two seemed inseparable. Talking about everything under the sun that had to deal with school, boys, Felicity’s family (yes, Celina left hers out of most of their conversations), and of course school. But though the two girls were friends, Celina also made a friend within her own house by the name of Drew Thornton. At first both relationships were fine and Celina thought that she should have made friends years prior to what she had, but it was when she was becoming comfortable with the idea of them around where everything started to get shaky.
Between her brother trying to take her friends away from her, or make them stay away from her, Celina helping Felicity and Drew get together as a couple, and ultimately, the ‘third wheel’ she was getting in the way of most things, Celina was eventually left with more downs than ups within the relationships she’d made with both of her best friends and though she loved them both dearly, she began to shut herself off from them again and keep quiet about most things that bothered her.
Sixth year swung into action and everything went smoothly, right up until the welcome back feast after everyone’s winter holiday. It was then that Felicity became suspicious of Celina’s real intents on what feelings she had for Drew, (which in the end were purely plutonic), and she outright question the both of them and how one another interacted. Celina and Drew had no idea on what to say to the accusations, but in the end, it pushed the two further apart. Neither Drew nor Celina wanted any more disputes between Felicity about such things, and in turn, the blond Gryffindor unintentionally confined the Raven girl even more to the insides of her head. Vulnerable and quite alone, Alfonz picked up a position within the school of Hogwarts to more closely watch his younger sister and help her stay away get through her problems that she was having.
Through her times of trouble, Celina strived to find herself. Realizing that Felicity had gotten Prefect, Drew, Head Boy, Celina only wondered why not only had she found herself ‘not good enough’ once more, but even in her friendships, she just couldn’t understand why certain things were happening. She wasn’t a social bug of any kind, and in most social situations, she had no clue as to what to expect. So, understanding her friends, took time and a huge toll on her. Eventually, tensions rose so much between the three that Celina pointed Felicity out for something so extreme that it left the friends not talking, so Celina was completely alone; except for that of her brother.
Alfonz was happy to see that there was now, no one that could influence and transform his younger sister’s mind into something foolish and demeaning. Being purebloods, Alfonz felt that her place was among their own kind, and not with muggle lovers or half bloods, as her friends were. Celina clung to him, asking his guidance and sticking to his side as much as she could between her school schedule and his working schedule. However, there was one other that found his way into helping her out…
Toward the end of the year, Celina and her friends finally spoke to one another about everything that had gone on. Things were said, forgiven, and told to be forgotten (though, who really forgets everything?) and things seemed like they may go back to normal. Celina could feel however, that it wouldn’t. There would always be a weird wedge between the three now, and it was one that Alfonz approved of greatly.
Connor however, was another issue. Connor was one that had also helped Celina through her times of being lost. And continued to do so even into her seventh year at Hogwarts. The two were, as it seemed by some, meant for each other. And secretly, both held deep desires for one another… it wasn’t until her seventh year however, that it was found to be impossible for them to ever actually be together.
The summer between her sixth and seventh years at Hogwarts was probably one of the worst times of the young Jedynak’s life. Without her brother’s protection, and her friends by her side, her father was able to have her all to himself and her disciplining and training began. Because he felt that she could do nothing right, there was one thing that Feliks knew Celina would not be able to fail. All summer, he brainwashed her. Spells, along with training sessions on how to be the perfect pureblood bride, Feliks knew that his daughter was meant for nothing more than being arranged to marry, as they used to do more often in older times.
When Celina returned to school for her seventh year, she was a completely different person. She dressed differently, spoke differently, even walked differently. Higher, taller, her hair pulled back, clothed so that no skin was showing… but though she was different, a piece of who she was remained in her mind, screaming to be freed.
[ Pros and Cons: ]
Celina is a skilled player of a magical harp that has been known to lock doors magically, calm even the greatest of beasts (*cough*herfater<-example*cough*) and calm the most restless of souls. She has no talent for flying, unlike her lost brother, but she's a natural caregiver and caretaker. It's why she's so well at taking care of not only her pets, but also her friends.
Out of any worker, however, she's probably the best at taking orders and getting jobs done that are in needing of getting done. This of course is probably because of her conditioning and brain washing, but unlike most during this time period, she doesn't complain or fight what is done to her.
Celina also has a knack for talking people into doing things. Not often used because the Jedynak woman doesn't talk much to begin with, Celina has found that because she's hardly a talker, it surprises people enough to want to listen to her. She's a great listener in return, and therefore, those who think they know her, tend to trust her because of the way she only slightly responds.
Celina Icelyn Jedynak is not to be trusted, however, for her best talent that she's been bestowed upon is that of being a spy to the her father without really knowing that she is. She cannot lie, and therefore, doing so around her father is futile, and utterly hopeless... in all but one aspect of her life, however.
One part of her life that her father has never been able to infiltrate with his brain washing and ligilemency talents is any information about her feelings for a particular individual. Because of the affection she feels for Connor Manning, Ceina has been able to completely keep him safe inside herself... taking that much of her own memory with the girl she used to be and completely hiding it out of reach from her father. Celina Jedynak has hidden strength though she is unsure of how to use it or even if she hasn't already given it up just in general.
