Delilah still hadn't really spoken to anyone since her father passed away, but her heart had been a little bit relieved because someone some where had once said that time heals all wounds, and since a couple of months had passed, she was becoming healed. There was only so much grieving someone could do until they realize that life goes on with or without them, but Delilah was too stubborn to let life pass her by, she wasn't about to let everything her dad ever taught her go to waste.
The small girl was shy for a Slytherin, at least at the moment. She wasn't in the right mood, her normal mood which was more peppy and up beat, but seeing as the past couple months hadn't been normal at all, her mood simply matched.
Delilah headed down to the kitchens rather than the dinning hall for dinner, at least the house elves still spoke to her. As she entered, a couple of them greeted her and brought her the pork and rice that everyone else was having for supper just above her.
The small girl smiled at them, and thanked them for their kindness, and she ate the pleasant meal. She couldn't feel more at peace with herself, maybe she didn't need friends after all, maybe she just needed herself. Not that she didn't want friends, but no one had seemed to care when she was most alone in this world. Now, she just wanted to eat.
Open.

Hungry.
That was all the seventh year could think of, food. It didn't matter what time it was or where he happened to be, he always craved something. At this particular moment it just so happened to be blueberry muffins. It was the middle of dinner and he had cleared his plate from the seconds he had just served himself. But muffins... those would be harder to come by. The Head Boy glanced around the Slytherin table, looking for the foodstuffs he was searching for. No such luck. He didn't think there would be any muffins to go with this dinner, but he had hoped...
Drat. That meant one thing.
Connor looked around and as there was some shuffling of people starting to head back to their respective commons he sidled his way into the small crowd, heading down the corridor and into the dungeons. It would merely look as if he was heading to his own common room, when in fact... he was still in search of muffins. He headed in the opposite direction of the Slytherins, scanning until he found the portrait he searched for. With a light scratch the pear gave a wiggle and a squeal, the portrait then swung forward. Connor walked into the kitchens and was met by a combination of smells. He only hoped one of them would be blueberry muffins.
He looked around, trying to catch one of the elves to hopefully help him out. Instead of an elf, though, he caught sight of Delilah. " Hey, D. " He said with a small hesitant smile.

Delilah looked up at the sound of a voice. And it wasn't an elf. The small brunette couldn't help but smile, "Hey Connor." She said, looking around for the same creature he was, "Fancied a little something to eat also?" She asked, as her eyes met with one of the elves. She smiled at the little guy and motioned with her eyes towards Connor. The elf got the hint and approached her partner in crime hesitantly. Delilah had gotten to know the elves fairly well, and she remembered what happened the last time she had been ignored by them for all of 2 minutes... Surely she could prevent a self beating this time around.
The girl scootched over on the already empty bench she was sitting on, and patted the empty seat next to her. She decided to was better to be happy, and not dwell on what just happened. There would be plenty of time for that later, besides, Connor already knew what was going on, didn't he?
