Lainee was standing beside the door with her roster in her hand. She was looking at the roster, but thinking back. She wasn't so sure if the fifth years could handle this potion. Maybe she should change it.

Deryn stood outside the door to the classroom. She took a deep breath and pushed the door open a crack. She looked in to see if anyone was there and stepped in when she saw a woman standing there who she guessed was the professor. Deryn had nearly bumped into her, but she stopped herself. "Oh hello. I'm very sorry about that, ma'am. I didn't see you," she said quickly, her face turning red again. Deryn walked further into the room and dropped her bag on a desk and sat down, opening it and taking out a quill. There wasn't anyone else in the classroom yet and Deryn was terrified to be the only one there. She hoped someone else would come soon.

Although Deryn had caused quite the scene, Brendan had collided completely into her side. He had tripped over his own school shoes, for they were box style, and straight into the teacher. Standing himself back up he said hurridly, as if it was nothing hinting this often happened, "Sorry sorry miss... Didn't mean to... I'm dead clumsy."
Hurridly, he stepped into the classroom to get away from the embarrassing moment. Looking into the classroom, he saw but another Gryffindor by her badge. Good, no Bailey. At least he hadn't embarrassed himself completely. He shuffled to an empty seat not too far from the teacher's desk, but still far enough to not get in trouble, and almost the furthest point from the other student. She kind of scared him...

Deryn looked up when she heard someone else come into the room. She saw the boy fall over and she snickered. She heard him quickly apologize, she turned away from him. Deryn looked around the classroom again, growing bored. Deryn was bored and starting to get agitated. The dark, damp room wasn't improving her mood very much either. She looked up again to see where the boy had gone. He was sitting almost as far away from herself as possible. Prat... Deryn thought to herself Can't even say hello...

Lainee was just about to open the door when it opened on it's own accord. Lainee smiled down at the girl and nodded her head. "No child it's fine. Quite alright. I thank you for opening the door for me."
Before Lainee could move to the side she was practically ran over. Luckily she only was pushed back and was able to regain her balance. "It's fine," but it seemed no need. He was already walking away. Lainee glanced at her roster to find the two names highlighted in Red.

Deryn looked over at the professor and then at the other boy who had come in. He was still sitting there with his back to her. Deryn shook her head and leaned back in her chair. From a previous experience, she knew not to lean back to far. She took out her wand and examined it. She had nothing better to do while she was waiting for the class to start, so she waved it around at nothing in particular. She realized it would not be a good thing to make an object explode, so she put her wand away.
It was a shame that Deryn had got to class so early. She cursed under her breath, wishing she was outside or back in the Common Room. The lonely, and somewhat cold, classroom seemed more unwelcoming then it did when she first arrived. Deryn closed her eyes and thought to herself This is gonna be a long class...

Gail headed down the damp stairwell into the dungeons. She had had a long walk, and her shoulder hurt from carrying her schoolbag so far. With the door to the classroom in sight, Gail gave a sigh of relief. However, the door was closed, which seemed odd.
She edged up to the door and felt the handle. Slowly, she tried to turn it, finding that it did so easily. With that established, Gail opened the door. Heading in, she narrowly missed running into the Potions professor. “Sorry, ma’am,” she said.
Looking around the classroom, she could see only two other students. They both appeared to be Gryffindors. One was a girl leaning her chair back near the rear of the room. The other was a boy sitting not too far from the teacher’s desk. It almost seemed like he was trying to make himself smaller and not get noticed.
Gail smiled wryly. That was the easiest way to get noticed. If you really want to avoid the teacher’s attention, you avoid their eyes, sit normally, and pretend to be paying attention. If everything’s normal, they have no reason to pick on you.
Gail normally preferred to sit by herself in classes, but she was a weak potions-maker. And the poor boy looked in need of lessons in avoiding attention. Her smile growing larger, she walked forward and sat down next to him. Hopefully he was good at Potions. If not, at least she could have a little fun.

Ash, Morgan, and some unknown, and now himself, comprised the bulk of the current fifth year lesson, unless the corners were really as dark as they seemed and one other was waiting to jump him. They could try it...
Murmuring something of a "Good day." and supplying a nod to each in their respective turns he took a seat on the left side of the room and folded his hands. In anticiapation yes, of the lesson being over.

With a small chuckle, Arianna had darted in past the little bit of commotion and found herself a seat in the back corner of the classroom. She liked it here not because she didn't want to be sociable, but because it was easier to hide any mishaps with her potions. Even though Arianna's brewing ability had improved greatly, she certainly wasn't the best at it. At least this way her mistakes couldn't be pointed out to the rest of the class.

Krissy grinned. Classes were always so boring, so she didn't see any problem in making them a little more entertaining. As such...
Krissy rolled into the potions class. Yes rolled. Having flung the door open, she took two steps and then fell into a forewards roll, rolling straight past the professor, coming back up onto her feet and continued making her way to a seat near the back of the classroom. Krissy grinned. Anyone who had been watching the door would be wondering what in the world just happened, but for those who didn't see...
Krissy feel into another forewards roll as she made her way between desks. It looks almost as though she had tripped and then miracuously rolled out of it. Of course it was all staged though. Krissy had once again returned to her feet and continued walking, trying to withhold her laughter.
She sat down next to Ari who she had noticed after coming out of her second roll hidden in the back corner. Krissy grinned, she wondered how well her potion would explode today.

Deryn looked up when some new souls had wandered in. She saw Corey come in and quickly looked away, avoiding his eyes. She looked back at the door and saw a girl come in, but then she fell. Deryn almost jumped out of her seat, but then she saw the girl do a front roll. Deryn sat back and watched her as she continued to roll around the room. Deryn looked back at her desk and sighed. She took her potions book out of her bag and started to skim through it. Deryn glanced over her shoulder at Corey who was sitting with his hands folded. She glanced at her watched and looked at the time, her stomach dropping. Class was going to start soon...

Lainee watched the students entered and as the names highlighted themselves. Every other name Lainee would mouth the words to herself trying to commit the names to memory.

Bailey hurried along the corridors, muttering to herself, "First day of classes, and you're going to be late!" To any passerby she would look completely out of her mind. But upon reaching the classroom and seeing the door still ajar, she breathed a little easier. Walking into the room, she glanced around and spotted Brendan. Nodding to the Professor and giving her a quiet, "Hello", Bailey took a seat next to Brendan.
Looking over at him, she flicked his arm to get his attention. He seemed very shaky for some reason.
"Hey. Why are you all jittery?" she asked him.

"You'd be pretty jittery too if you pretty much fell atop of the teacher... Me and my clumsyness" Brendan said shaking his head with a slight crooked grin. He looked at the teacher for a second before looking back down. He rubbed his arm where she had flicked him. It kind of hurt.

Keagan skipped up to the classroom, not yet realizing that this was Potions class she was going to. Her energy level might drop once she came to this realization, but until then there was no knowing when her spirits would drop. In any case, it was all a front. For Keagan, being energetic and silly wasn't just a way to express happiness. It was also a way to cheer herself up, and on the inside, she felt like she needed a lot of cheering.
Peering around the door before she entered, Keag figured that class hadn't quite started yet from the position of her classmates -mainly Gryffindors, which made her happy- and the professor. Therefore, she strode in with no worries about tardiness and took a seat beside the agitated looking Deryn. "Hey, you alright?" she asked.
