Deryn looked up when Keagan sat down beside her. She shrugged as a response at first, but then decided to speak. "I've been better," she confessed, "Just a lot goin' on right now. It'll pass." She sighed and looked at Keagan. She appeared to be very happy, as she entered the classroom. "I saw you come skipping in. What's up?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Nuttin'," Keagan replied, glancing away as she did. She was trying to keep up the semblance of being alright, but she didn't want to lie to Deryn just to keep up that pretense. As long as she wasn't forced to say anything, she wouldn't have to. "Does any of the stuff have to do with a certain Gryffie boy?" Keag asked, trying to pull the attention off herself, even though the vague mention of a Gryffie boy brought to mind her own worries about her Gryff.

Deryn nodded solemly, looking over her shoulder at Corey. She looked back at Keagan and forced a small smile. She had a feeling that Keag wasn't really alright, but she wasn't going to press the matter if Keagan didn't want to talk about it. "Yeah," she said quietly. She was silent for a moment before she spoke again,"But that's life, right?"

"You'd be pretty jittery too if you pretty much fell atop of the teacher... Me and my clumsyness" Brendan said shaking his head with a slight crooked grin. He looked at the teacher for a second before looking back down. He rubbed his arm where she had flicked him. It kind of hurt. Bailey cringed slightly, her smile turning to a frown. "Eek. What a way to make a first impression, huh?" she stated. The boy seemed to be one of the clumsiest people she had ever met. Actually, he could probably be awarded the most clumsiest person she had ever met. Watching him rub his arm, she rose a brow. "Was it really that hard? I guess I don't know my own finger strength." she smirked.

Clara entered the classroom and frowned for only a moment at the sight of people she'd found upon entering all of them seemed to be a cheery bunch and not her kind of people. She wasn't in the least prone to talking to people or initiating conversations so she headed toward the back of the classroom.
Finding a spot where no one was currently sitting she sat and glanced around the classroom to inspect how this schools potions classroom was set up.

"Hey, you," Arianna grinned as she reached over and poked Krissy in the side. She glad to have a friend nearby. Especially in this class. Even if they both weren't the best at potion making. Fortunately, Arianna wasn't as terrible as Krissy was and had long outgrown her 'blowing things up phase.' This didn't mean she didn't have a few accidents here and there. "How're you doing today?"

"Children we are going to begin class now. I'm Prof. Jamboreema. My name is Swahili. It means Hello Mother. This is a term of respect to an older person in my country. If Prof. Jamboreema is a mouthful you may shorten it. Just don't call me Prof. Something."
Lainee laughed alone at her own joke. Lainee cleared her throat and moved on. "Alright. We are going to learn the potion Aging today. I want to make very clear that we are not going to use this potion or the knowledge of it for any pranks or anything else that it is not to be used for."

Wanna bet? He thought as he saw Krissy in the room, as well as a few others after has period of zoning out. He had caught Deryn glance his direction as well, but he made no real aknowlegement to any of it, he just wanted it to get over with it all so he could go eat. Lunch, was lunch.
"Its all bloody stupid..." He muttered to himself, doubting highly Professor whatever-she-said-her-name-was could hear from the center front of the room to where he was sitting on the left.

"Hear that?" Arianna asked quietly, giving Krissy a poke. She let out a snort, careful to keep it quiet enough that the professor at the front of the room wouldn't hear. "No pranks, okay?"
Arianna chuckled quietly to herself. She could think of a few things she would do with an aging potion. Most she should probably keep to herself.

Clara's eyebrows rose at the professors attempt at a joke which to her was just that a joke. She was definately not going to call her mother or anything for that matter. She preferred a hands off approach with professors especially one's that tried to be funny when they weren't. Not that it wasn't amusing sometimes hearing them try.
All Clara wanted was for the professor to get on with it allready so they could start the lesson. At least actually making the potion wouldn't be as dull.

Krissy put on a mock frown at ari's comment "Aww but thats no fun..." Krissy knew she would use the potion, wether this professor something or other wanter her to or not. Krissy could just play the good girl routine today and the professor would be none the wiser of Krissy's real pesonality. Krissy grinned at her marvelous plan. Krissy also grinned at the thought of shortening the professor's name, many a names popped to mind, professor jam, jam jar, boreing, ja... and many more wihch she thought about trying out, her mind making a mental list of names readying her to use them all, she wondered how many different names she could call the professor in one lesson.

Lainee looked around to and nodded satisfied that all questions were answered. Lainee raised her hand and looked at the board watching the ingrdients appear on the board. "Everyone please grab the ingrdients. I will give you the instructions before you begin."

As long as I don't fall atop of her again..." Immediately, Brendan stopped rubbing his arm almost reddening on the spot. He had always been more prone to pain, and since he wasn't normally in a situation to feel pain, it hurt. Brendan didn't have time to respond however, as the teacher began the lesson. Grabbing the ingredients eagerly, he almost dropped his entire potions kit to the ground. Even sitting he was clumsy... Strange boy for sure.

Arianna scanned over the ipotions list, ready to get herself ready for the day's lesson. Eyes stopping on the second ingredient, she already feel her arms starting to itch and reached a hand out to grasp Krissy's wrist.
"Krissy," she muttered quietly. "I don't know if I should do this potion."

Corey's eyes too skimmed the list, only his eyes landed on not the second, but the third ingredient. And it actually made him feel rather uncomfortable. "Er, Professor, really now, cat's blood? This is a potion, and not a sacrificial ritual thing, right?" He questioned, his whole focus basically shot now. something about the word blood on an ingredient list just didn't suit him.
