Charlie needed some cheese. Really bad.
Almost no one could resist cheese (except the lactose intolerants), and for this late evening it was the time to hunt for some good old gouda. Or chase for some cheddar. Or make plans for mozzarella. Mmmm, Mozzarella....
Basically, Charlie was missing her father's cooking and every little nuance that came with his dishes. There were times her heart ached for some of his lasagna, or his stuffed cabbage, or just about anything and everything he made. She never went home for Christmas (out of embarrassment and fear), and so she could never refresh her urges quite that soon. At it wasn't like she knew the secrets to his trade. She could only settle for something simple.
The routine was usual-- tickle the fruit portrait, enter, get hounded by elves, demand some mozzarella, insist on not having anything else but that, and sitting as she waited for her own chunk of cheese.

Out on hall patrol, Dragos paced back and forth in the dungeons, really hoping to catch somebody in the act and get them in trouble so points would be deducted. Slytherin was in desperate need of points if they wanted to be out of the negatives by the end of the year. If it happened to be a Slytherin he caught tonight, Dragos didn't know what he would do. Other than just be really, really pissed.
Coming around the corner, Dragos just caught a glimpse of someone disappearing into the kitchens. He grinned, following after them. The prefect tickled the pear and the door opened and Dragos stepped into the kitchens, ready to catch whoever it was that was out this late and breaking the rules.
Until he saw it was Charlie.
"You suck," Dragos told her, defeated as she walked toward where he was sitting.

Charlie had her hand outstretched to the elf who had a plate of mozzarella cheese and a knife, but she didn't almost accept it when she turned to see who had come in. "You suck!" She said with a laugh and a roll of the eyes as she accepted the plate at last and began cutting herself some pieces. "Ahaha, can't even find yourself a firstie to put 'em on a walk of shame," She turned and shrugged. Nowadays it was hard to bag themselves some people to get in trouble. All the prefects were pretty easy going and it didn't matter who was out as long as it didn't get the prefects in trouble.
She held out the first slice of cheese. "Mozzarella?"

"What good is a prefect if there's no one breaking the rules besides you?" Dragos replied as she told it that if was in fact him who sucked. He frowned at her and plopped down in the chair opposite the girl, grumbling to himself in Croatian with a few choice words that he didn't feel like he should repeat in English. As Charlie offered him a slice of cheese, Dragos just kind of looked at her. Cheese?
"What have you done to it?" Dragos asked, almost completely serious as he took the plate from the girl and inspected the cheese up close.

"Hey!" she exclaimed in protest, "You should be glad to be 'catching' me, 'cause I'm way cool." She rolled her eyes at him and continued to offer the snack. It had been a long since she'd been able to do anything fun with him-- both had their own things to worry about. But when it came down to it, he was going to be leaving soon, and she was barely going to see one of her closer Slytherin friends. The same happened with Reina and DJ-- once they graduated, they were gone from her life. It would be another sad shame to see him go unless she saw him around after she graduated.
"Dude, it's totally fine! Nothin' but good ol' cheese. Now eat some," she gave him the plate and cocked her head to the side to tell him to sit next to her.
