"I...I think so," Arianna gasped, nodding her head. Yes, it did hurt a bit, but most likely because she'd hit her funny bone. It felt like it, anyway. That numb, tingling feeling running clear to her fingertips. No one ever liked that feeling. Unless they were weird, of course.
"No blood, right?" she asked, lifting her elbow for the boy to see. It looked a little red where she'd hit it, but it doubtful there would even be a bruise. The pain was actually already subsiding.
Kian raised his hand to her elbow and touched it with one of his fingers as he checked it, "Nope no blood. Just a little red." He said with a slight nod having made his inspection and then withdrew his hand. "You should be just fine," he smiled as he looked up at her since he still had remained sitting when she'd jumped up. "Well all things considered at least you were able to laugh when you'd hit yourself. That's always a plus eases the pain a little."
"Yeah, it does," Arianna replied, nodding in complete agreement. She didn't know if it actually helped healing-wise, but it certainly did keep you in a good mood and forget about whatever pain you might be feeling.
"And so does good company," she winked at Kian before turning and reaching for her glass of orange juice.
"Good company does help," Kian replied with a smile to complement the wink she'd given him. "So is the pain all gone now? That is if your in good company right now," he said a smile still upon his face somewhat teasingly as he looked over at her before grabbing another crepe. He'd never had the things before in his life but he actually had to admit to himself that he liked them quite a bit and wouldn't mind having them again sometime.
Arianna set her glass down and checked her elbow again. It was still red and throbbed slightly, but not so much as earlier. Even so, she could pretend it did.
"Um..." she rubbed at her elbow, wincing slightly when she found that it was much more tender than she thought it would be. "Not yet. But good company keeps me distracted from it, so...in a way it does. Feels better at least."
He couldn't help but laugh, "Ouch that hurts. I would have though it would have taken instant effect," he said smile still upon his lips and humor in the depths of his eyes. "Well at least I can be distracting," Kian said. He'd meant from the pain and hopefully she'd caught what he'd meant because if she hadn't then his words could be misconstruded to mean something else entirely.
"Aw, I didn't mean to hurt you," Arianna frowned slightly. For a moment she thought he had been serious and that Kian was just trying to laugh it off so she wouldn't feel bad. When she caught his smile, though, Arianna shook her head. He was just being a bugger. Of course, it wasn't like she wasn't being one back.
"Yes, very much distracting," Arianna nodded in agreement. He'd certainly made her forget how they'd come to be in the kitchens in the first place. Nor did she remember Juni until the cat pattered over and curled up on her lap.
Kian couldn't help but grin as she shook her head at him she should have expected him to come back with something like that. After all she was messing with him just as much as he was messing with her. "In a good way I hope," he replied with a smile before Juni jumped onto Arianna's lap, "Well seems someone didn't want me to be the only distracting one here." Kian had honestly forgotten for a moment that their cats were both with them which meant that Midnight was somewhere around them as well.
"I think Midnight's more fascinated with the crepes," he said with a slight laugh as he spotted Midnight atop the bench on the other side of the table paws upon the top sniffing at the food.
"Fortunately for us, Juni doesn't care for them," Arianna claimed, scratching Juniper behind the ears as he purred. She doubted she would want crepes if she'd upchucked the first time she'd tried them. Either cats weren't supposed to eat crepes, or Juni was just an oddball who couldn't handle the food. Whatever the reason, it meant he wouldn't be poking or nibbling at their food.
"So...any plans for the rest of the day?" the girl questioned out of curiosity. She didn't have anything planned, but thought she might get some ideas as to what she could be doing instead of wandering around aimlessly.
"Midnight no eating," Kian said with a slight laugh as he looked over at his cat who met his eyes as he was spoken to. "Well that's better than Midnight having to try anything he comes in contact with. I'm just surprised he's never gotten ill because of it," he said as he looked away from Midnight back to Arianna as he spoke. He didn't really think he'd climb onto the table top or anything so he wasn't to worried about Midnight at the moment.
"To be honest, no. I hadn't really planned on anything expect finding that guy," he said with a slight nod toward Midnight. "I usually don't really plan anything I just kind of end up doing anything that presents itself to me," Kian replied with a smile. "What about you? did you have any plans?" he asked.
Arianna slowly shook her head. That didn't help her any.
"Nope, not really," she lifted Juni from his possition on her lap and brought him up face to face. The silly cat decided then was a good time to kiss the girl, rubbing his scratchy tongue against her cheek. There were some days Arianna thought Juni had a little dog in him.
"I thought I'd end up doing nothing today," Arianna replied, giggling at Juni's actions. She set him back down on her lap, where he twisted onto his back and started batting at her sweater. "Maybe some reading or....whatever the day brings me, I guess."
