Stepping up to the painting behind which the kitchens hid, Arianna reached her hand up and tickled the pear. The fruit giggled as the painting swung open, revealing just what they were looking for.
"We want crepes!" Arianna called out to the elves before they could get a chance to huddle around her and Kian. They hustled off to make the preparations as the Ravenclaw continued making her order. "Lost of them. With peaches and raspberries and strawberries on the side. Oh, and orange juice to drink. We also like something for the cats. Anything you've got."
Done with that, Arianna asked Kian if there was anything else they should be getting. After all, he might want a pancake or something in case he didn't care for the crepes. Which Arianna was certain was impossible. Crepes were just too good and anyone claiming otherwise was just plain odd.

Kian followed her into the kitchens to find they were the same as always, spotless, along with of course pretty much every houself that presided in the castle that was not currently cleaning somewhere. "No i'll trust you on the crepes. I'm sure i'll like them," he replied with a smile as the elves hustled around to comply with the Raven's requests. "I think you pretty much asked allready for anything we might need," Kian smiled before letting Midnight down to stretch his legs, who'd been cooped up the whole way down in the circle of his arms.

"Ah, thank you," Arianna smiled at Kian's confidence in her. It might seem like a small thing for someone to trust you with their breakfast, but it made her feel good all the same.
Letting Juni leap from her arms to join Midnight, the girl reached for Kian's hand and headed off to the nearest table.
"Come! Let us sit!" the girl proclaimed with a loud voice before chuckling at her silliness. She quickly took a seat, straddling the bench with one leg on each side so she could face the boy as they talked.

"Your welcome," Kian replied with a grin before Arianna reached out for his hand and met her the rest of the way. He then let her lead him slightly to the nearest table to the entrance. Since they'd allready held hands before and after a moment it had felt natural, it felt the same this time.
He couldn't help but laugh softly at her exclamation, "Excited about eating crepes?" he asked with a smile facing her to allow them easier access to talk. Kian wasn't too sure about crepes and orange juice but she was the genius when it came to them after all.

"Excited to be eating them with...together," Arianna quickly corrected herself before she could make the same silly mistake Kian had done earlier. Her statement was perfectly honest, And though she was just getting to know Kian, she couldn't think of anyone better to share crepes with.
Smiling shyly at the boy, Arianna ducked her head down as she felt her cheeks redden again. It wasn't like this was her first time talking to the boy. They'd had a few conversations before and she hadn't thought of him as anything more than a friend. So why was she suddenly wishing they could be more?

Kian's smile grew somewhat at her near slip that would have been similar to his own only minutes beforehand. He was glad that she hadn't slipped because that would only have landed them both into slight embarrassment and grasping at straws to continue their conversation.
Noting her shy expression and quick avoidance of his eyes it was more instinct then anything, in the moments that occured afterwards. Lifting her chin gently with one his hands until she was once again, forced to make eye contact he smiled softly. "You have no reason to be embarassed. I think we've both had our share of embarassment today to last us at least a few hours," he joked slightly to make her feel better, less embarassed or shy.

Thinking she could simply wait until either her ears turned back to their normal colour, or the elves brought their food to the table, Arianna closed her eyes as the boy gently lifted her chin. Waiting until he had finished speaking, she opened her eyes again and found herself smiling again, a smile that reached into her eyes and caused them to sparkle.
"I'm not embarrassed," she claimed, her voice soft as a sigh. Her insides churned as the butterflies took flight once more. It had been ages since she had felt like this. Perhaps, after ages of closing herself off to such emotions, she was ready to open up again.

Kian was taken aback by the drastic change in Arianna's expression when she opened her eyes again. She seemed almost like a completely different person, but in a good way. Her expression spoke volumes of contentment and perhaps true happiness, he liked that smile.
"Good," he replied with a grin also having noted her voice had softened. After a moment he withdrew his hand from below her chin, having released he still hadn't at his initial surprise. "I like your smile," Kian commented as he looked at her. Now he was even more certain of where his feelings where perhaps churning toward.

"I'll have to smile more often then," Arianna spoke a bit louder this time, but still a little softly. She was certain she wouldn't have any trouble with that goal. Especially if Kian were near. The only thing that could make her happier at this moment was if he were to touch her again.
Any thoughts of butterflies and gentle touches were disrupted, though, when the elves arrived with their food. Arianna felt herself slightly annoyed with their clambering to place the goods upon the table, but was also a bit glad. There was no need to rush into things...right? Take things slowly and enjoy it longer was her thinking.
"Food's here," the girl commented unnecessarily, her head motioning to the table, but her eyes still on Kian. Yep, she probably looked like a love sick puppy, but she really didn't care. It felt too nice to do anything to prevent her from looking so silly.

"Good," Kian said once more his smile firmly in place as he looked at her, "Plus why should you hide that pretty smile for very long." All he truly knew was that for the first time in a long time he was actually happy, not the half hazard kind but true contentment and by her smile perhaps the same was true for the girl who sat before him.
He hadn't noticed the clamor of the elves for a moment until their apparant appearance could no longer be denied. Kian looked over at them and gave them a small smile of thanks before looking back at Ari to find she hadn't taken her eyes from him. "Now how about we try these crepes you've told me so much about," he smiled.

"Yes, we should," Arianna was finally able to tear her eyes from the boy and turned her body toward the table, careful not to kick Kian as she lifted her foot over the bench. The butterflies had calmed some and felt she could now eat something.
"But..you know..." the girl started as she reached for a crepe topped with raspberries. She didn't think it was necessary, but Arianna really wanted to tell him what was on her mind. "We've known each other for what? Two years? And, well....we don't get to hang out very often, but I've always considered you as a friend. Today, though, it's like that's all changed suddenly and....well...I could see us, you and me, in..in a different light. As being more than just friends. Odd how things change so quickly, isn't it?"
The girl then fell silent and munched on her crepe, amazed at herself for spilling everything out like that. She still wasn't sure what to make of it. Weren't feelings like this supposed to build over time? Or perhaps she'd had those feelings before and had simply ignored them. It wouldn't have been the first time. The only difference was that Arianna no longer felt the need to fight it. Nor did she think she would be able to.

He hadn't been expecting the words that had come out of Arianna's mouth in the least, it had been so out of the blue. Despite his initial simultaneous shock and surprise he quickly came to the realization that her words made him happy, in a way that he hadn't been in a very long time. It hadn't been something he'd been expecting, not now after everything that had happened, after so long. At first he wasn't sure what to tell her as he let everything just sink in.
"I'm glad it wasn't just me that felt this way," Kian replied as he looked at Arianna who seemed to be distracting herself by eating a crepe. "Yes. I wasn't expecting... I didn't think this would happen when i'd set out to find Midnight," he said looking over at Midnight for a moment as he recalled Arianna's earlier reactions of perhaps worry or uncertainty about something.
He wasn't too sure about asking what came to mind but since it seemed she'd been honest and put herself out there so to speak he resolved to. "Earlier you seemed kind of unsure about something. Distant at times. That's why i've tried to keep us on neutral ground. Is there a reason why?" Kian asked looking at her once more.

So he felt the same way. Arianna was ecstatic to know and lifted her eyes back upon the boy, a warm smile upon her face. It fell slightly at his question, though. It was a bit difficult to explain and...well, she hoped he didn't take any of it the wrong way.
"Well...it's just..." she sighed and set her crepe back on the plate before shifting herself so she could face Kian. She chewed on her lip a moment before continuing. "I think had this meeting happened a few weeks ago, we probably wouldn't be talking like this.....I thought maybe I had....something with someone else, but I haven't been able to corner him to find out what's going on. And maybe it's good, because then I'd never get the chance to feel the way I do right now. It's like...right when I was about to give up, something.....better comes to me out of nowhere and I...I don't know if I deserve it."

Kian looked at the table for a moment as he allowed himself to disgest everything that Arianna was telling him. He wasn't sure what to make of her words and he didn't want to push her into anything or in anyway if she was unsure. Because that was one thing he was certain about that she wasn't sure about how she felt for that other guy for the simple fact as she'd stated it herself, she hadn't been able to get him alone. Yes a smile had come to his face at his words that something better came along, him but that didn't change the rest.
He met her eyes once more, "But your not sure if when and if you run into him again you'll still feel that way toward him. Don't get me wrong i hope that isn't the case but...i'm not going to push anything. Not until your sure." It had pained him to say that but it was the honest truth. Their was no point in beginning anything if in a heartbeat it could all change for her at least at a perchance encounter. He wasn't about to put himself in a position where he could end up the only party hurt. Also considering his past he just couldn't.
"Why don't you deserve it?" Kian asked in an attempt to get a better idea of what exactly was going through her mind in those moments. "I can't be one to judge but... i think that we all deserve it, when it comes along."

Arianna watched Kian carefully as she nodded in response. She was glad of his words and while she could tell that he didn't like saying what he had, Arianna was grateful he was willing to be so honest with her; to let her know he would go with whatever she decided possibly just to know she would be happy whether it was with him or someone else. That certainly gave him a one up on any other candidates there might be, but Arianna didn't want to use that as her whole bases for a decision. She knew she'd rush into things too fast if she did.
"Well...no...I think...maybe 'deserve' is the wrong word," Arianna commented after Kian's last question. She bit her lip, her pointer finger placed lightly on her chin as her gaze fell onto the edge of the table. She tried to think of a better word, but could think of none and so continued on.
"I've just...I haven't bothered looking for a relationship these past two years," she started, turning her eyes back on Kian once more. "I haven't had much luck with them in the past so I just kinda shut that part down, I guess you could say. I'd still go on dates and stuff, but I didn't want to leave myself open like that.... Now I feel ready and....I thought I'd have to keep looking and looking for someone. And maybe my eyes have simply been opened and I'm seeing things that were always there, but...it still feels too good to be true."
