"It seems I've met myself an optimist!" Keagan exclaimed as Finn proclaimed that this night had been great despite all the truly horrid things that had occured. If only Keagan had realized that each and every one of the bad things had been her fault, then the mood might just be quite a bit different at the moment.
She shook her head with a smile as she watched Finn skip ahead of her to the next staircase. "That depends; are you planning to make it take forever?" she asked, quirking an eyebrow.

Finn grinned broadly and nodded his head furiously. "Yes," he replied innocently before cracking up once again, "Well, the longer to takes to get there, the more chance I have of causing myself more bodily harm. You're actually quite lucky I haven't caused you any yet."
The Ravenclaw couldn't help that he had difficulties walking. It was all because he was too preoccupied with who he was with, not what he was actually doing. Finn was never the greatest at multi-tasking, and it was rather hard when Keagan was there.

"And the more bodily harm you inflict upon yourself, the longer it will take," Keagan replied, sticking her tongue out at the Ravenclaw boy. "It would be nice if there could be one without the other, though, as I don't want to have to risk hurting you with my Charms work anymore than I have to. Is there anything we can do to help prevent the harm part?"

At Keagan's question, Finn's voice got caught in his throat. He was so close to just blurting out what was in his head, but his teeth clamped down on his tongue so he wouldn't be able to make a total idiot of himself. Yet. It would happen eventually. After all, it was Finn. It was like his gift or something.
"I, uhh...don't think so," he said lamely, but it was better than nothing, "But maybe if I watch where I'm walking, I might be able to ward off the injuries for now." Good save.

Keagan raised an eyebrow slightly as she thought about his plan. Hadn't he been doing that already? Maybe he had trouble concentrating on things...She knew some other people with that problem, but they were Muggles and on medication. ((J/K...XD)) It didn't matter anyway; she just didn't want Finn getting anymore injured than he already was.
"Sounds like a plan, then. Shall we continue up and watching where we're walking?"

Finn chuckled softly and scratched his head again nervously. It was just an unconscious thing now. He wasn't even aware he was doing it. Finn probably would have been able to scratched right through his head before he even realized what he was doing.
"Sounds like a plan," Finn repeated with a nod and continue up the stairs, his hands shoved into his pockets again. He sighed as he walked, wishing it would take all night to get back to the tower. It was possible that it could take that long, but he was sure Keagan would ditch him before that happened.
It was probably the most random thing ever, but thinking about being at the Lake tomorrow with Keag reminded Finn of the first time they'd met. He'd loaned Keagan his sweater because she had been cold, and Finn couldn't quite remember ever getting it back. Of course, he had told her to keep it so they'd have a reason to meet again, cheesy as it sounded. "You still have my sweater, don't you?" Finn questioned with a smile.

Hearing the sigh, Keagan gave Finn a funny look, but she didn't ask any questions. She never really felt comfortable asking about such things, unless she was incredibly close to the other individual, and she didn't know if Finn and herself were at such a point yet.
"I do have it, don't I? I'd almost forgot about that; I wasn't quite sure how I'd ever be sure to get it back to you, but I know exactly where it is," Keagan replied, remembering more details about their first meeting now that he'd brought it up. "Though I suppose I could always summon it."

"Oh no, it's ok," Finn told her, "Just keep it and I can get it tomorrow. No worries." He flashed her another grin as they resumed their trek onward and upward, trying to reach the Ravenclaw Common Room before the sun started to rise again.
As they walked along, Finn began dragging his feet and straggling behind. It hadn't been that far yet, but Finn was pretty lazy. "I'm tired," he complained, taking long and slow strides, "This is too much like exercise."

"Alrighty then. I'll try and remember," she responded with a wink. She was trying to joke about her forgetfulness, but it was only to cover up the truth. It was very likely that she would, indeed, forget the sweater in her dormitory, even though it was, in truth, only a very short time until she would meet Finn again.
Keagan slowed as the Ravenclaw fell behind. "Come now," she replied with a joking scowl. The Gryffindor nudged him forward before speaking again. "It's only a couple of flights of stairs; haven't you gotten used to trekking like this by now?"
OK, so maybe Keagan was a bit of a bully. ((^_^))

"No," Finn answered in an angry, childish, complaining voice. He made a point of walking extra slow now, but couldn't keep the playful grin off his face. Now he was just being an idiot.
"Alright, alright, I'm going," he agreed finally, speeding up his pace and walking normally again. It really wasn't that far, but Finn was a big couch potato. The only activities he did were usually just Muggle video games. The boy was the very definition of 'lazy'.

Keagan swatted at him again. "If you don't cooperate, I might just have to start pushing," she threatened with a stern look. It wasn't like she could really do it, though. He was much taller than her, and male. The circumstances really didn't bode well for the slightly petite female.
"Good, good. Move along, then," the Lioness winked up at him.

"Yes, master," he replied jokingly, winking back as they walked on. The suddenly came to the next floor and Finn skipped ahead once more, leaving Keagan behind, to the next staircase.
"Now who's slacking?" Finn called back, sticking his tongue out childishly.

"Still you," Keagan answered with her eyes wide as she thought to herself, 'Oh! Burn!'. "At least I'm taking normal sized steps and not moving like a sloth just to be difficult."
She returned his childish behavior with the same before unexpectedly darting up the steps ahead of him, laughing evilly now. She figured it would be a bit redundant to add a comment like 'Look who's laughing now!' as, obviously, she was the one laughing.

Finn half-laughed/half-groaned as Keagan ran past him, laughing as she went by. He turned and took the steps two at a time, passing her easily and waiting at the top. "Come on, slow poke!" he hollered before running off down the corridor to the next set of stairs. He reached them, taking those two at a time as well and lying down on one near the middle, posing casually and waiting for Keagan to catch up. If that was the way she wanted to play, he was game for it.
"You comin' sometime today?" he called loudly, hoping she would hear.

Rather than groan as Finn had, Keagan flat-out growled as Finn dodged past her, using his long legs to his advantage. If she wasn't feeling responsible for him getting back to his common room in a timely fashion, she may have just stopped and pouted, the stubborn Gryffindor that she was. She didn't like to lose, and she really didn't like to lose because she was at a disadvantage.
"Not fair," she pouted as she rounded the corner onto the next staircase after all but stomping her way along the corridor, and then continuing to do so up the stairs.
