Finn was so unbelievably hungry, he could have eaten a hippogriff. He'd been hiding out lately and not really feeling all the sociable, but now he couldn't stay cooped up anymore. Finn needed something to eat before he passed out, so he snuck out of the Ravenclaw Common Room and sneakily made his way to the dungeons. It was a lot farther than Finn had expected and more than once he had to dodge into a room to get away from a professor, or patrolling Prefect. He even had to dodge into the Armour Gallery and ended up crashing into a suit. Needless to say, Finn will now make it a priority to avoid that room for the rest of his time at Hogwarts.
When he finally reached the dungeons undetected, Finn scurried along until he came to the portrait and tickled the fruit. It swung open to reveal the kitchens and the house elves that were bust at work. "Mr. Finn!" one of them called. Finn just smiled at him and entered the kitchen. The smell of that night's dinner still lingered and Finn breathed in it deeply. A few other elves noticed him too, and he didn't even need to ask for anything before they started attacking him with food. Finn sat down chuckling and gratefully took the food and began scarfing it down.
"You lot are amazing," he told the elves with a mouthful of delicious food, "Seriously. Amazing."

But Finn only though he had reached the dungeons undetected. Fact was contrary to this belief, however, as a certain Gryffindor prefect had detected the Ravenclaw boy. Or rather, had spotted a sneaky student. She was unaware of the youth's identity until she entered the kitchen stealthily a few moments behind him.
Leaning against the wall just inside the doorway, she watched silently as Finn indulged himself in the food. This was certainly a dilemma; Keag had never been put in a position to bust a friend before. "Rather late to be sneaking around the castle, isn't it "Mr. Finn?" Keagan asked from her spot on the wall, using her fingers to place quote marks around the name the elves had bestowed upon Finn.

Finn nearly choked as he heard a familiar voice. He turned to see Keagan standing there in the door way, and he jumped to stand, but ended up falling over his feet and smacking face-first into the ground. He'd managed to swallow the food before he made contact with the cold stone floor, but he still choked on the few remaining bits and coughed hard before he was able to catch his breath. Naturally, one's first reaction would be "Ouch" or "At least I'm still alive". However, that was not quite the case for Finn. His first thought was something along the lines of "Way to fall on your face like an idiot in front of Keagan" but with some other vulgar words that were only heard in his head.
"Hey," he said, rubbing his forehead where he had hit the ground, "I just came down here for a bite. Maybe now a trip to the Hospital Wing." Finn tried to laugh at himself, but it made his head throb slightly, so he stopped. It was then that he clued in that Keagan was, in fact, a prefect and he was, in fact, in a lot of trouble. " 'Spose I'm busted now," he said quietly, grinning slightly.

As Finn fell toward the ground, Keagan rushed over to him with a high pitched, "Oh!" Placing her hand lightly on his back, she moved to help him up, forgetting for the moment the time of night and her prefect responsibilities. "Are you okay? It's a bit late for a visit to the Hospital Wing."
"Oh, yeah...busted," she said, pulling her hand from him and stepping back a bit. Frowning apologetically, she continued, "It's kind of my job."

Finn couldn't help but chuckle as Keagan came to his rescue and asked if he was OK. Not only did he feel like an idiot, now he started to blush as he felt her hand on his back. "Oh no no, I'm fine. My forehead broke my fall," he told her, still rubbing it lightly. It didn't hurt so much now, but his pride was definitely still stinging. That was one of those pains that didn't go away too fast. Sighing, Finn pulled himself up finally. He groaned as he stood and swaggered slightly, before shaking his head and shaking it off.
"So what's my punishment, Miss Prefect?" he asked, looking guilty, "I promise I won't hold it against you. As long as it isn't detention."

"I don't think foreheads are quite strong enough to "break a fall." I can't see how you wouldn't be in a whole lot of pain. Are you totally sure your fine?" Keagan's mothering tendencies always seemed to run away with her when she crossed the path of someone suffering. Her concern even allowed the boy's blush to escape her notice.
"Well, Mr. Finn, if you won't hold it against me, I suppose I might just have to deduct some house points from the dear house of Ravenclaw."
To be perfectly honest about Keagan's thoughts, though, she didn't really mind deducting from Ravenclaw; they could afford it. To be even more frank, the "Miss Prefect" comment struck Keag as reminiscent of instructor fantasies she had seen on television back in the day...but that's more than y'all needed to know.

"I'm totally fine," he assured her, "Seriously." Finn was lying just a little bit though. He wasn't totally fine, his head freaking hurt, but he wasn't going to let Keagan worry about him anymore. He just grinned at her but he was slightly worried about the points being taken from his house. This was the first time he'd really been in trouble, and he didn't really know how things worked.
"How many points?" he asked, now more than slightly worried. And he knew the worry was evident in his voice. So now not only did he feel like an idiot, he looked and sounded like one too. Perfect.

Keagan supposed she hadn't a reason to not believe him, so she finally smiled. "Good to know," she replied. Shifting on her feet again, Keagan got into a more professional pose. It was a bit harder when she noticed the conflict in his expression between a reassuring grin and worry. The worry even extended to Finn's tone. "Yeah...points...I was thinking something like...15? It is a first warning, afterall...as far as I know."

"Fifteen?!" Finn gasped, but stopped himself and rephrased it, "I...uhh..mean...15. That seems suitable." Oh that was slick, he scolded himself. Finn rolled his eyes and scoffed at his own stupidity and wished he could sink into the floor right now. If only he wasn't such an idiot, he might actually have a chance here. But no, he was indeed an idiot. And he was blowing his chances.
"Well, umm...maybe we should uhh..like...go, then?" he asked, very inarticulately.

Keagan winced slightly. "I thought fifteen was kind of me," she replied with a sheepish look. So much for authority. Her own sheepishness fled as Finn scoffed at himself out of the blue. Her curiousity at his reasoning outweighed her own emotions; she didn't get it.
"Go? Where? I should probably escort you back to your house."

"N-no, 15 is...fine...good," he said, trying to not sound like such an idiot. He knew she probably could have taken more, because being out after hours was really a big problem. She was just doing her job, and she really shouldn't be cutting him any slack. "You can take more i-if you think its..uhh...more appropriate. Because you don't need to cut me any slack, I was breaking the rules and you just have to go your job, you know? It's OK if you need to take more points, I won't hold it against you, so if you have to do your job and it warrants more points you could just...like...take them. Please make me stop talking now," Finn cut himself off before he blabbered any more. Could you be any more awkward?!?!? he yelled at himself.
Escort? He needed an escort too? What was next? Handcuffs? "Um we could..uh, go," he stammered finally. Finn felt his cheeks turn a bright, painful red as he continued to disgrace himself over and over and over again. It was like he'd lost control of his speech and it all just seemed to spill out at once. Why did Keagan make him so damn nervous?

"No no no. Fifteen is completely appropriate, for a first offense, that is. I was just saying that if I could've been a toughie and made it worse," she replied, smiling and hoping to help him lighten up a bit. Seeing the bright red flush appear on his cheeks, Keagan, completely oblivious to the fact that this sort of reaction was specific to her, leaned over and gave him a friendly hug. "Lighten up, would ya? I just gotta make sure you get up to your common room as soon as possible. No worries, eh?" she said, the part in italics dripping with sarcasm.

Finn's entire body froze. Completely statue-like right there. He couldn't move as Keagan wrapped her arms around him in a hug. The blood was pounding so hard in his ears that he didn't even hear what she was saying. He simply held his breath and nodded when he thought it was appropriate to nod.
"...'o worries, eh?"
Finn just caught the end of the sentence as his ability to hear suddenly came back. He assumed the half-word at the beginning of the sentence had been "no" and he nodded again and chuckled nervously before stammering a response. "Y-yeah. N-n-no worries," he said finally, "No worries." Awkwardly, Finn's arms reached up and he hugged Keagan, patting her slightly on the back and the pulled away before he did anything else stupid. He could hear an elf behind him snickering and he wanted very much to kick it over. However, he just shot it a glare and it stopped immediately.
"So, do we, uhh...what now?" he asked, shoving his hands in his pockets and letting his head go down again.

The fact that Finn's body went completely rigid upon contact was very strange, as well as the awkward patting of her back. Keag was (finally) becoming suspicious. "Yes, no worries. Good," she stated, looking up at him curiously as she stepped back again.
"What now? Well, are you done here?" she asked, gesturing to the impressive display of food. On second though, she plucked a random chocolate covered strawberry from a decorative dish on the table and ate it with a flourish.

Finn was definitely done with the food now. He'd lost his appetite when the butterflies had taken over in his stomach. He hadn't been this nervous around Keagan before, not even when they were sitting outside that night. It was weird that Finn all of a sudden felt this way and he thought that Keagan might have caught on now that he'd gone all rigid. Merlin, he was an idiot.
Quickly grabbing one more piece of chocolate right after Keagan did, Finn popped it in his mouth and nodded. "Yeah, I'm done here," he told her before turning to the elves, "Thanks guys, I'll be back soon. Without a prefect to get me in trouble." Turning back to face Keagan, he winked to show he was only kidding.
"Onward, then?" he asked.
